While this book was very similar to many of Ana Huang’s previous work, I enjoyed the familiarity of it. After being in a bit of a reading slump, it was nice to have a book that, albeit somewhat repetitive, was a comfort read.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

King of Wrath is the second book by Ana Huang I’ve read and I enjoyed it a lot more than the first book of hers I read (Twisted Love). Lately I’ve been enjoying the modern ‘arranged married’ trope more and it was really well done here! Vivian was likeable and endearing and her arc of figuring out how to be herself versus who her family wanted her to be was well done. Dante was a perfect sexy counterpart and put the handsome in tall, dark and handsome! Some of the parental betrayal felt similar to twisted love but it was still a very different story overall.

The book stands alone, but I’m excited for Isabel and Kai’s romance in book two that’s going to be released soon.

Thanks NetGalley and Sourcebook Bloom Books for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am a fan of Ana Huangs Twisted series so I knew I had to read this as well. I loved Dante and Vivian. This books gives us Billionaires and grumpy sunshine that I always find are some of my favorite tropes to read. I loved how the plot panned out and really enjoyed the arranged marriage aspect of it.
I overall can’t get enough of Ana Huang and cant wait to continue to see what she writes next for this series.

I’m giving this book a 3.5, but if I hadn’t read the Twisted Series by Ana Huang already, I’d probably give it 4 stars.

Ana Huang delivers. She knows what we want and she’s good at what she does. Whenever I pick up one of her books, I know what I’m getting myself into and I’ll tear through it right away, enjoying every second.

Dante and Vivian were a good couple; I really liked that their personalities challenged each other and that they encouraged each other to open up, grow, etc. Dante gave us all the tropes we want out of Huang’s spicy romances without leaning into caveman territory, which is important for making sure he’s not an annoying character to read.

Watching Vivian value herself and eventually grow to defend herself and her right to respect from her family was a nice arc for her, though it could’ve been developed more deeply (I didn’t mind though because even though I want a fleshed out character, a deep and moving character arc is not what I picked up this spicy romance for).

The reason I knocked my rating down half a peg is that, having read Huang’s other books, the characters can blur together. The FMCs are distinct enough, but Dante didn’t feel really distinct from the other possessive billionaire male love interests of the Twisted series, and a few days after reading he'd already started to melt together with his counterparts in my memory.

Even though I know I can rely on Huang for these fun, well-crafted romances with cool characters, I still want each one to feel fresh (which she’s delivered thus far; this is the first book I’ve felt that way about).

So anyways, definitely a super fun read from a reliable author, but a few criticisms this time that held me back from fully enjoying.

I liked Dante & Vivian a lot they lived up to my hype and excitement of seeing their story after the crumbs we got in other books. They're number three on my top couple of book universe though behind Ava/Alex & Christian/Stella.

I loved this!! I had to take time to even collect my thoughts after finishing because 🌶️🌶️😮‍💨! I loved Dante and Vivian! I loved all the tropes and man does Ana know how to write some spiceee I can not wait for the rest of this series! This was my book club pick and I can’t wait to discuss more tomorrow! I am going to post my review on my Booksta Friday!

This actually prompted me to go finished the twisted series and I just loved how all the books fit together!

I have read the first two books in Ana Huang's Twisted series and enjoyed them a fair amount. I started and finished this book in less than 12 hours and absolutely loved it! I could not put it down! I loved Dante's POV because the pining hero always gets me. Dante was just the right amount of possessive where it is not annoying to read about. Vivian is my favorite heroine from an Ana Huang story I have read so far. Her family struggles were somehow relatable, even though I’m not the heiress to a jewelry family🙄 The internal struggle she is going through in this book really solidified my love for her. Overall I loved this book but I could not give it 5 stars because there is never enough groveling for me. 4.5/5 stars

Ms. Huang does it again! I was so excited to read Dante’s story, and King of Wrath did not disappoint. If you’ve read Huang’s other books, you know what you’re in for here - spice, brains, and snark in the perfect combination. You can’t wait to see Dante’s slow fall for Vivian, and it’s so fun to watch it happen. Probably one of my favorites of Huang’s. I would suggest reading her previous series before this one. It’s a standalone, but you’ll definitely understand a few more Easter eggs (and therefore enjoy this book more!) if you’ve read her back catalog.

Thank you Netgalley for this book! Thank you Ana!!! This is my first book of Ana's I've read and I 100% recommend it! 10 stars!!! I was instantly swept under the scandalous plot and raunchy amazing bffs that Vivian has. I also love Kai!!!!!! Gosh that one. That's a special name to me and you too if you're a PenDragon like me. Kai🖤 Anyways I can't wait for his book next! I couldn't believe how low some of these filthy old money farts could be. It was a new insight. Lol The battle of Old vs New. Who will win? Read this book to find out! LOL. You will love it. Now I am about to stalk Ana Huang backlist and catch up!!! This story has a wonderful sweet and dark kind of vibe to it. The details of characters are immaculate. I can picture this entire story like a movie in my head. Luca is great and funny and cool. I like him! Lucas is Laid back and carefree, but he's learning there's a time and place for everything now. Wonderfully written. Beautiful cover!!!! So pretty! I love the dragons. Just all around fantastic!!! Last but not least Dante. I'm so glad these men are diverse. I love the diversity so much throughout this entire book!!!! I very much appreciate it. Dante is the ultimate bachelor but all business and rarely any play later. His hardness is raw and cold. He is not to be played with. He's so smart and everything about him is just perfect! He can do no wrong in my eyes!! Everything he does is for his family and they're the best reasons. He isn't malicious for just nothing. I won't spoil the good stuff but I can't call him a villain. He's perfect. Maybe I spoiled a little. I just can't gush enough of him. He needs to protected no matter the cost! Thank you Ana for this beautiful tale💋

I really enjoyed this book which could be read as a standalone or after the Twisted series. This book follows Dante and Vivian who get into an arranged marriage but despise each other though there is understanding between them. After reading Twisted Lies, I have to say that I was nervous to start this book because I didn’t liked the last one of the twisted series. But boy was this book amazing. I really enjoyed the story and how the author’s writing improved in some way. It’s still the same style but more improved with the way the story is laid out. I loved the setting and the sweet moments that the author put in this book. This book is in dual perspectives which readers will absolutely enjoy.

The main characters are Vivian and Dante. Vivian is a social planner from a new rich family that wants her to marry the old money, Dante. Dante is a billionaire and has to get married to Vivian. I really enjoyed both characters and their development. They improved so much in this book and I also felt connected to them. I loved how the author added background information so that readers are more connected to their story. Their bantering and cute moments were very wonderfully written. There are also many side characters in this book and I have a sense who the next book will be about from the sides. The romance is enemies to lovers and arranged marriage which is spicy and very well written.

The ending was well done and I really enjoyed this book. After Twisted Games I have to say that this book is my next favorite. It’s so well written and I loved the main characters. I have no issues with this book and would love to read the next book whenever it comes out. I already have an idea who it will be about so we will see. I totally recommend this to my billionaire romance lovers.

KING OF WRATH book was *chef’s kiss* So so good! Loved it even more than the Twisted series, if that’s even possible! The plot was fantastic - captivating, entertaining, and even a little soapy! The marriage of convenience trope isn't my favorite but it worked so well in this book. The spice was great and loved the story; lots of tension and passion! Ana hit it out of the park with this book. Her writing just works for me! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Thanks so much, NetGalley and Bloom Books, for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I LOVED this book! It’s one of those books I wish I could experience for the first time again! Sleep was willingly sacrificed in order to finish.

King of Wrath by Ana Huang is a phenomenal billionaire romance featuring an arranged marriage that takes place in Manhattan’s high society. This story delightfully combines an enemies to lovers vibe with quick banter, fiery spice, the best kind of emotions & enough familial drama to make your head spin.

This is a perfect recommendation for my fellow fans of the Dreamland Billionaire series by Lauren Asher that are looking for similar vibes. Marriage of convenience, forced proximity & a broody hero that falls head over heels are my favorite tropes & this one completely delivers on all fronts! A hero that will do anything for his love in order to give her the world is positively swoon worthy. Dante embodies that & his Italian nickname for her is precious.

If you are also an appreciator of the hero giving epic speeches to the heroine a la the rom-com classics, then boy will this one be a treat for you!

There are so many side characters that I want to have their own books! Both of the main characters’ friends are fascinating with interesting histories & just ready for their own stories to begin.

I am clearly a fan of this book & I absolutely cannot wait for the next one!

If you are a romance connoisseur like me, this is a fabulous recommendation for you!

Massive thanks to NetGalley & Bloom Books for the free arc, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

I will post this on my social closer to release date & add links once I do!

King of Wrath is a story about an arranged marriage under black mail. Do Dante and Vivian fall in love or do they tear each other apart? Throughout the book, all I could think was "Can you two just fall in love already?!"

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a digital arc of The King of Wrath by Ana Huang.

I love it, I thought this book was going to be more dark romance than anything else Ana Huang has written so far but no, it's an excellent new adult romance. Ana Huang's books tend to be very long for me after the first half and this was no exception but in the end it gets very good

I love seeing how a man screws up and does everything to get his partner back and in that sense this book nailed it. Dante on his knees apologizing? *deep breath* what a man. But despite the fact that I loved Dante, I loved Vivian a thousand times more, what can I say? I'm weak to women who wear red lipstick.

Even though it is a much longer book than I normally enjoy in romance, I had a great and fun time reading it. I'm not a fan of arranged marriage outside of the fantasy genre but this book made me like it a bit.
I highly recommend it.

Arranged marriage via blackmail? What could go wrong here?

Dante Russo is being blackmailed into marrying Vivian Lau, by her father. Vivian's family is new money while Dante's family comes from a long line of wealth. And he plans to keep it that way!

Vivian is a "good daughter". She does what her parents ask of her and she doesn't question it. Loyalty and respect to teh family. So she agrees to marry Dante Russo. Dante makes it clear from day one that this is a business arrangement and he clearly doesn't enjoy her company. She is determined to make this work.

The two start spending time together, as they have to keep up appearances. And you witness things shifting. They actually begin to enjoy each other's company. We watch them both grow and mature and we are aware they are falling in love long before they realize it.

Both Dante and Vivian are independent and complex. Neither seems to want to admit their feelings. When Vivian overhears a conversation between Dante and her father, she is thrown for a loop. At this point you'll be screaming at them to just tell each other how they feel!

The side characters were amazing as well. Her girl gang was fun and his guys kept things real. We even got to see some cameos from the Twisted series.

Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Ana Huang can do no wrong with her balance of prose and spice. The arranged marriage/forced proximity continues to prove to be the Superior Trope, nobody can convince me otherwise. Two adults slowly fall in love with great character development, pacing, and realistic conversations surrounding their situation. I loved witnessing their relationship develop. The Incredible pacing - I cannot stress this enough - was the highlight of this novel. I was so concerned with a third-act breakup happening in the last 30 pages, but Huang's pacing was impeccable.

The only reason this fell short of being a perfect book for me is the lie-by-omission trope and the eye-rolling moments when it came back to haunt them. You know how the book is going to go from the beginning and it underdelivers in that aspect. There is nothing wrong with romance being predictable because it is formulaic, but the third-act was so frustrating because it wasn't necessary.

As soon as I heard we were getting arranged marriage and forced proximity I was all over this book. I was counting down the days and whatever I thought this book was going to be it was absolutely better. Vivian is the respectful society heiress and she will just about do anything for her family, including getting married to the controlling and cold Dante Russo. Dante didn't want to get engaged to Vivian but the threat of blackmail keeps him from backing down. Imagine his rage that the daughter of his enemy has to live with him and he has to pretend to love her. He will do anything to stop the wedding but soon this "business" arrangement starts to change when feelings get involved. Vivian knows Dante is arrogant and rude but she also sees the vulnerable and loving man buried beneath the surface. The development of their relationship took some time but it was so nice to just see them go from friendly truce to fiery passion. Their chemistry was off the charts, their banter and flirting was immensely cute and I was falling for them on every page. Dante is such a hot head and he makes mistakes but OH MY GOD his groveling? It was top tier, so in love with his character development...and his dirty mouth.

Dante thrives on control in every aspect of his life. So when one of his brother's mistakes forces him to marry Vivian, he is very unhappy about it... until he realizes that he can't let her go.
This is book 1 in the Kings of Sin series. It's an arranged marriage, forced proximity, enemies to lovers romance told in dual POV with great tension. It was a bit similar to the Twisted series book, but I can't wait to read Kai's story in book 2!
