Woohoo Ana is back baby!! I for one am SO pleased and the only upsetting thing about this experience is that we have to wait until April 2023 for Kai and Isabella's book (just a joke - Ana take all the time you need to write their story!).
I think my favorite parts of this book were Vivian, the tightness of the story, how addicting it was (especially the first half), and how Ana set up this new world while still calling back to the Twisted series.
Vivian is a powerhouse and I never wanted to leave her. She's cool, calm and collected but she will cut to the quick when she needs to. I just love reading about women who are so capable and can advocate for themselves. Some of my favorite scenes in this book were when Vivian was raaaaaaaging at Dante (don't worry, he deserved it) because those scenes felt so earned. Vivian was able to call out the hypocrisy around her and I loved seeing her growth when it came to speaking up against her family.
Ana once again is SO in the pocket when it comes to writing distinctive characters. Vivian, Isabella and Sloane felt very different from the Twisted Girls and Ana writes the nuances between female friendships in your early 20s vs. late 20s brilliantly. It's so refreshing to read female characters who are three-dimensional, flawed, capable, and lovable.
The character development of both Vivian and Dante was well executed. Dante learned to get better with his communication, but it was a gradual and realistic process.
This has to be Ana's tightest book yet. Every scene served a purpose and I could've easily read this book in one sitting. I basically had this book glued to my hands for the first half of it because I could not put it down!
Also, Ana is so good at delivering on what her readers want - it is such a delight. All the Twisted callbacks knocked me out. We got to reread scenes we already read in Twisted, but just from Dante and Vivian's POV. Who ELSE is doing that besides Ana?! And Ana knows the readers are coming for a fun, sexy time and she doesn't disappoint there either.
And the secondary characters in this?! I'm foaming at the mouth to read everyone's love story. Particularly Isabella and Kai (I cannot stress enough how hot Kai is), and Alessandra and Dominic (something tells me Ana is going to destroy the marriage in trouble trope).
Is Dante my favorite book boyfriend ever? Honestly, no. But that's okay!! He is hot, has a lot of passion, is richer than God and is so smitten with Vivian. Personally, I loved the quieter, more domestic moments we got with him and Vivian as opposed to the more grandiose gestures he made.
Ana smashed it once again in my opinion and she's always an auto-buy author for me!!!! A great start to this new series for sure.

this book was seriously so good. i have read a few all of ana huang's books and this one is up there! i really really loved vivian, she was a really enjoyable fmc to read about and i really loved her entire personality and her strong willed character. dante was amazing as well! he's not particularly different from any of the twisted men if i'm being honest, he reminds me a lot of christian, very much copy/paste with a few differences. but i'm not complaining! i love a rich man. i was surpised at how much i enjoyed this book i will be honest just because ana huang books are sometimes hit or miss for me, but i am so excited for kai and isabella!

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Sourcebooks for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
So it's Ana Huang so it's gonna be at least somewhat good but I just did not feel the same level of invested in these characters as I have her previous books. The writing is technically great and there was nothing repetitive or confusing about the mechanics of the story.
The story line was VERY reminiscent of Twisted Love and neither of the characters really behaved in a way that made them likable. The tension was good in some parts but then all of a sudden there would be a 180 that wasn't really explained- just all of a sudden he was into her. And no matter how awful he was to her (really awful at times) she was still so happy he threw her some crumbs the next time she saw him. I would have loved to read more rage from the FMC or some bit of her demanding respect I think that would have made it all the more interesting.
While I will still be reading everything Ana writes- and Twisted Hate will forever be one of my favorite books- I have to say this one misses the mark a bit and I'm hoping for more in the next in the series.

This was my first book by Ana Huang, and when I tell you I ran to purchase the Twisted Series by her after finishing this, I’m being serious. Vivian is such a relatable main character and Dante (while he has his flaws) is an absolute joy to read about. This book is the PERFECT arranged marriage, enemies to lovers that I needed. I will be recommending this to everyone I know.

When I tell you these two own me? I mean it.
King of Wrath is the first of seven books in the Kings of Sin series by Ana Huang and what a start! The book follows Vivian, a jewelry heiress, and Dante, billionaire CEO of the Russo Group, as they are forced into an arranged marriage.
True to Huang’s signature, this book was full of tension, steam and it was incredibly hooking. The more the story evolves, the more I loved it.
The chemistry was sizzling, the sexual tension was strong, and Vivian and Dante were amazing. They start off hostilely but slowly change to more. Ana is amazing at making tough, cold men absolutely gone for their woman and this a perfect example. We get to see as Vivian and Dante start to fall hard for each other.
I loved everything about this book and I cannot wait to see what’s next!👀

Absolutely insane. Absolutely obsessed. I’m OBSESEEDDDDDDDDD. This was so intense and spicy and fun and hot and heart wrenching and ugh I want Dante SO BAD YALL

Ana Huang is the best at turning cold-hearted billionaires into hopeless romantics. I loved the watching the transformation of Dante and Vivian's relationship. This book has the perfect combination of character development, witty banter, steamy scenes, and grand gestures. I even love the secondary characters and am in the market for my own Edward and Greta.
It was really neat seeing how this story intersected with the Twisted series and I'm really looking forward to finding out who is the King of Pride!!

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I was always so curious about Dante’s relationship when reading the Twisted series and this novel does not disappoint. Dante gives touch her and you will die and everything you want from a morally grey book boyfriend. He has great banter, sexy af, and the things that come out of his mouth 🥵. I love the little nodes of the original Twisted character and the tension in this book is enough to set you on fire.

King of Wrath is a romance novel with all my favorite tropes and Ana Huang has done a wonderful job of weaving together a story I honestly couldn't put down.
Dante is a billionaire CEO with a serious attitude, while Vivian is an event coordinator from a prestigious Jewel family. Her family is looking to up their status so they set up an arranged marriage between Dante and Vivian, but it definitely doesn't go as planned.
I loved the dynamic between Dante and Vivian. I felt they were both relatable (even though I don't know many billionaire's or millionaires) and I easily felt a connection with them along with an understanding of why they acted how they did. Their romance is very up and down with a good amount of spice too and I enjoyed this version of a slow burn. Vivian is feisty and the chemistry between Dante and Vivian is heavy. I loved the way she handles Dante when he's being an alpha-hole too.
I will definitely be picking up Ana's other books after this one. It was un-putdownable and easily earned a 5 star rating from me.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read an E-arc in exchange for an honest review.
tropes included; arranged marriage, forced proximity, one bed, enemies to lovers, billionaires, slow burn, roommates

3.5 stars
I haven’t read the Twisted series, but I had no trouble following this. I liked the dual POV between Vivian and Dante as they coped with their new arrangement in different ways. I enjoyed both of their characters - they each had their flaws but had really good character development. I love a good forced marriage / hate to love trope and their relationship was full of banter, angst, and a bit of spice. I don’t know if it’s a me thing, but I don’t always find romance storylines to be overly exciting, but it was a sweet story overall.
Thank you to Sourcebook Bloom Books for the review copy!

5/5 ⭐️ - 3/5 Spice🌶️
I refuse to believe Ana can write anything but a 5 star book! I loved the premise of the books all being based on the Circle's of Hell.
Vivian (top-tier Queen energy) and Dante were a great mafia based romance couple, and I just loved the cross-over of this series from the Twisted Series! Getting to see the alternate perspective from the scene in Twisted Lies was so fun. Special shout out to the spice in this book. I mean if you didn't love the limo scene then WTH! It was all perfect! This is going to be an amazing series and SO EXCITED FOR King of Pride!
Brief Plot: After being blackmailed, Dante is set to marry Vivian, a women he barely knows. However, neither can stand each other. Being a man of pride, Dante can't stand being blackmailed, and sets out to destroy Vivian's family and the blackmail hanging over him and his family. But as marriage plans continue, the two become close, sharing their (frankly disgusting) favorite snacks, and chemistry and heat begins to grow more prominent. But will pride allow Dante to fall for his fiancée, or cut all ties when he has the chance to destroy all blackmail Vivian's family holds.
Thank you NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for an eARC coy of King of Wrath by Ana Huang (a re-publishing).

A sultry enemies-to-lovers romance!
King of Wrath by Ana Huang is considered a standalone book but is the first book of the Kings of Sin series. I really enjoyed this book! The book focuses on Vivian Lau, a jewelry heiress, who finds herself engaged to Dante Russo, a famous CEO. She thinks it's an agreed-arranged marriage between her family and Dante, not knowing he is blackmailed.
It has remarkable chemistry and antagonism between two main characters that hate their circumstance and try hard to fight the attraction. I like the excellent slow burn heading to their open-door scenes. I also adore the flow of their relationship and how they start opening up to each other. The whole familial loyalty is such a relatable subject. It's universal despite differences in their cultures. The toxic patriarchy is still so common, which is so unfortunate. I feel very sympathetic to our main characters. I appreciate the character development in both Vivian and Dante and other secondary characters in the book. I'm also particularly fond of how some relationships were settled in this book, and it reminds us that, family or not, we don't need anyone who brings venom to our self-esteem and happiness.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Rating : 4 out of 5
Blurbs :
She’s the wife he never wanted…and the weakness he never saw coming.
Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant.
Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally.
The billionaire CEO never planned to marry—
until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows.
Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy.
It doesn’t matter how beautiful or charming she is. He'll do everything in his power to destroy the evidence and their betrothal.
There’s only one problem: now that he has her...he can't bring himself to let her go.
***
Elegant. Ambitious. Well-mannered.
Vivian Lau is the perfect daughter and her family’s ticket into the highest echelons of high society.
Marrying a blue-blooded Russo means opening doors that would otherwise remain closed to her new-money family.
While the rude, elusive Dante isn't her idea of a dream partner, she agrees to their arranged marriage out of duty.
Craving his touch was never part of the plan.
Neither was the worst thing she could possibly do: fall in love with her future husband.
King of Wrath is a steamy billionaire/arranged marriage romance. It contains explicit sexual content, profanity, and mild violence. Recommended for mature readers only.
Thoughts :
It's kind of a let-down to me after reading the Twisted Lies. I love Twisted Hate and Twisted Lies better. I just can't feel any chemistry between Dante and Vivian. I feel it's forced. It's good and it's hot but I gave this book 4 stars because Ana Huang is one of my favorite NA romance authors. I wish there is more chemistry between the MCs. Sadly, this book is pretty bland. I don't have any issues with the characters. They're just so-so to me.
I can't wait for Asher and Sloane (probably??). They have to end up together. I will read King of Pride too!
Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks for the early ARC!

So, I know the Twisted Love series was/is quite popular… but I just didn’t LOVE it. However, I enjoyed King of Wrath much much more! Maybe it’s because of the type of MMC we are dealing with 🔥🥵, but I loved both main characters.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts and comments are my own.
I absolutely loved this. Dante is on a whole different level from the other men that Ana Huang has wrote. I liked the plot and concept of this book as well. I think Dante and Vic are a good match because they are polar opposites. It’s like the grumpy meets sunshine trope and arranged marriage.
I also loved that Vivian had established herself in her career and was finally able to just say the hell with it and leave her father and his emotional and mental abuse.
Side note: I loved Christian being in this book a few times too. I just knew when I read Twisted Lies that Dante was going to have his own book!!!
I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series. Kai and Isabella here I come!
5 stars!!

Hands down, best book I have read from this author. We as readers got glimpses of Dante Russo in previous books but who knew his story was going to be such a roller coaster ride? The arranged marriage of Vivian and Dante through less than moral means definitely has a rough start. But proximity and their willingness to see it through and be a little vulnerable at times made for a better romance than I expected. I loved watching them come to know and love each other. I also loved watching them grow and the family dynamics shift as needed through the story. It's so satisfying to see a character come into her own and take control of her own life.

I recently read the Twisted series and couldn’t wait to dive in! Once again Ana Huang didn’t disappoint! I loved the character development and story. It was a quick and easy read. I am already patiently waiting for book #2!
Thank you to Bloom Books, Ana Huang, and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my review

I loved this book. I thought Vivian was a great character and I appreciated her personal growth with her family. I think she grew a lot as an individual in this book. I enjoyed the ride of watching Dante and her love and bringing back my favorite couple from the twisted series! I always think a man can grovel more but I thought his dates were just so sweet. I am excited to read the next book in this series! I also enjoy seeing Ana's growth in her writing. Thank you to NetGalley for providing the ARC for my honest opinion.

The first book in Ana Huang’s newest series, King of Wrath did not disappoint and had all of the excitement and romance that her Twisted series did. Dante Russo never wanted to get married, but after being blackmailed, finds himself engaged to Vivian Lau. Vivian’s family is “new money” and her marriage to blue-blooded Dante will thrust them into the upper echelons of high society. She dislikes the cold and rude Dante, but cannot help but be intrigued and attracted to her fiancé. Both Dante and Vivian look for ways to escape their arrangement, while continuing to be drawn in by the other.
I loved the Twisted series and it felt bittersweet when it ended with Twisted Lies, but was very excited about Ana’s announcement that the next series would start with a character we’d seen pop up a few times in the Twisted series, Dante. I loved Vivian and Dante’s banter, especially when one got the last word and shocked the other. Seeing Vivian and Dante falling in love, despite their reluctance and feelings about their arranged marriage, was icing on the cake. One of my biggest pet peeves in romance is when the woman immediately forgives the man when he apologizes for whatever they fought about during the third act breakup. Thankfully, that was not the case here and Dante really put in the work to win back Vivian’s trust, which she did not easily give to him. Highly recommend King of Wrath, especially if you are a fan of the Twisted series. I cannot wait for King of Pride!

4.5 stars! 3.5 spice!
Ana Huang has been my favorite author since high school and I fell in love with her book when I read her book called, "All I've never wanted."King of Wrath was spicy and well written and I fell in love with her writing again! CEO+Billionaire romance hits different and with the addition of a bit of grumpy sunshine makes me so happy! The dynamic between Dante and Vivian has so much chemistry and their chemistry never goes away and the plot line is written so well that even the slow burn in the beginning makes you craving for more!
