There is nothing like a solid spicy arranged marriage trope, and Ana Huang knocked it out of the park. Add on how jealous Dante was of any man who got near his fiancée and I was full on in swoon city!
Also, can we take a step back to admire how much of a baddy Vivian was. She owned her life and despite all the pressures of perfection she had to deal with, she sought to make her own life. Loved her SO much.
I also really adored the Manhattan high society vibes, especially as someone who has seen some of these events and clubs first hand.
Honestly, Ana Huang can do no wrong in the spicy romance department. Her sexual tension in this book was CHEF’S KISS.
I loved the little snippets we got of Twisted Lies in this book. Tack on Kai and Isabella’s budding romance. I was a happy camper. Can’t wait for book 2!!
Now, could a lot of our issues been avoided if Dante had simply been honest from the start about the origins of their arranged marriage? Sure. But that wouldn’t make for a fun book haha.

dnf at 50% no real reason but the story just wasn't doing it for me. I was forgetting what was happening, and not enjoying picking it up.
Thank you netgalley for the earc in exchange for an honest review.

OBSESSED WITH DANTE!!! Ana Huang had stolen my life away from me while I was reading/listening to this story. I was hooked from the start by this arranged marriage romance with domineering Dante and independent Vivianne. 10/10 story and the audiobook duet was even better

This book was just perfection and incredibly well written. I was skeptical about this book because I hadn’t really enjoyed Twisted Love. But I was pleasantly surprised by Dante and Vivian’s story.
The story starts out really strong and dives into the plot. Vivían has always known that her family would arrange a match for her but she just thought she had more time. Dante on the other hand never intended to marry but circumstances have forced his hand.
Sigh, I’m in love with Dante. I was swooning so hard I forgot all about his deception. I loved that Dante didn’t have the typical CEO billionaire storyline. He was edgy but had a lot of heart. I thoroughly enjoyed how their relationship unfolded. I applaud the man’s ability to grovel. A true king. Vivian was such a strong character. I loved her quick wit and her courage to speak her mind.
I overall really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to have it on my shelves.

Billionaire romances are a guilty pleasure of mine and this one did not disappoint. I'm glad it's a series because I can't wait to see what comes next.

This book was different from my normal romantic read. I liked the interplay between and relationship and family dynamics. I felt like the growth of both characters was interesting and believable. I enjoyed how they both grew individually and together in order to find themselves. It was a little slow about 2/3 of the way through but it was definitely worth it in the end. I'm looking forward to reading other books in the series.

In King of Wrath we finally get to see Dante's relationship. Since I've been reading Ana Huang's works out of order I've already met him a bunch of times so it was really awesome to watch the arranged marriage play out. I will admit to feeling bad for Vivian at times because it was not the most pleasant situation to be in. I really enjoyed watching their story play out and how vindictive Dante could be. I look forward to reading the rest of the series but will definitely be impatiently waiting for Kai's book.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

An arranged marriage, a billionaire, expectations, obligations, and a scorchin hot story that leaves you wanting more. Who will lose control? Who will discover desire? Who will find love?
For fans of the Twisted Series, there are interconnected characters and other nuggets that make this exciting and fun to read.
While this can be read as a standalone it is part of a series and you will want to keep reading.

Ok read my first book by Ana Huang and I enjoyed it! Somehow read this one in a day bc it was an easy read. I definitely laughed and rolled my eyes at a few scenes but at the end of the day I still finished this in a day. I’ll definitely try her twisted series since that seems to be peoples favorites. I’m giving this a 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. A fun steamy read. Also I did appreciate the immigrant child perspective. I feel like that will resonate with a lot of people who had at least some of those characteristics in parents growing up. Hopefully not as bad as the Lau parents lol

Ok so I was all in with this one. Then the story really started to get going and I just wanted to slap Vivian in the face. I mean seriously girl you don't need your family if they are going to force you to marry someone that A. you don't love and B. who is a total jerk. I put family above everything in my home but not to the point where the relationship becomes toxic. Vivian is one of the my most hated characters I have read this year and seriously I understand that I know they end up together because romance. But seriously I wish that this book would have been enough for me to keep reading so I could find out if she ever told her family off and did her own thing.

Absolutely adored this book! Dante and Vivian have to be one of my favourite book couples. Their dynamic was incredible. Vivian holds nothing back. Boss to the extreme. The scene with the black AmEx killed me!!
I have loved every other book that I've read by Ana Huang and cannot wait to see where this series takes us!

This is book one in the king of sin series. I dont know if i had ever read a book about arranged marriage but i loved this one. Of course at first they dislike each other, but that changes as they progress in their relationship.
I also love these books about millionaires/billionaires, and look forward to the rest of this series!
Thank you netgalley for this arc!

This Enemies to Lovers is really chef’s kiss! I loved it! I easily got lost into the pages. It felt genuine; the joy and heartache of unexpected love and betrayal. I recommend this to anyone who loves a slow burn romance. 5 chili’s for sure for the steaminess. I will definitely be reading book two :) !!! Netgalley provided this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I would rate this a 5 out of 5!

Oh my heart! Dante is not good for my heart!!
Dante may be a lion in the boardroom, but he is a kitten with Vivian. They may have had a rough start, but they truly worked on having a relationship, and the way that he works so hard after the third act break up, was truly beautiful. Every time I hear the phrase "Mia Cara" I will never feel the same.
Vivian truly goes through it not only with Dante, but with the family. She goes on a beautiful journey of learning her own value.

King of Wrath was my first introduction to Ana Huang's work and having heard the hype surrounding this book, I wasn't really sure what to expect, which probably was best.
As I didn't read any of her previous works or had any expectations, I wasn't let down by anything but, in turn, nothing really stood out either. While the major trope (marriage of convince) was done well here, there was no attachment to the characters and I personally found the chemistry lacking between the main characters. While this novel was an overall okayyyy read, I found it to be easily forgettable. Maybe Huang's other works would work for me, but King of Wrath just wasn't for me.

3.5⭐️
We’d exchanged only a handful of words, yet I already knew two things with gut certainty.
One, Dante was going to be my fiancé.
Two, we might kill each other before we ever made it to the altar.
Vivian’s father has arranged for her to marry Dante Russo, the most sought after and powerful eligible bachelor to elevate their social status. Vivian reluctantly goes along with the arrangement even though she and Dante don’t get along to appease her family, and Dante only agrees to the arrangement because Vivian’s father is blackmailing him. The two have a rocky start, but learn to tolerate each other.
I’m not really a fan of the MMC being a legit total possessive alphahole, and Dante is no exception. Vivian has no real loyalty to him aside from being in an arranged marriage, she let her parents completely control her love life, and abandoned the lower class guy because he didn’t meet her parents’ standards. I’m disappointed in Vivian, and even though we’re supposed to believe her to be fiery, she’s kind of spineless and doesn’t take chances. In the end though, I did like that Vivian finally stands up to her parents and takes control of her life. Also, Viv’s parent’s suck, and I’m glad that her dad gets what he deserves in the end. Overall, this was cute, and it has a lot of spice, but it wasn’t my favorite. It was really well written though and I will probably read the other books in this series.
Vivian once told me about a Chinese proverb that said an invisible thread connected those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, and circumstance. I felt the phantom tug of that thread now, stretching between us and vibrating with the promise of something only fate could deliver.

The character dynamics between the two main characters was great and had me rooting for them. I wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that main female character was a people pleaser, but that didn’t subtract from my enjoyment. I also felt that the two main characters really had some character development through out the story. I also enjoyed that fact that the side characters were fleshed out and each had their own personalities instead of being like cardboard cutouts. The book was also very atmospheric in some parts, but was a bit lack luster in other areas. The atmosphere came through in the smaller moments like the dates and the apartment, but other places like Valhalla Club and overall city weren’t really present. I would have honed in a bit more on the smaller aspects of the environment in those moments. The overall writing was very easy to get into and really lended itself well to the overall story with it’s simplicity. I did find the plot to be predictable, but it still held my attention and didn’t subtract from my enjoyment. I was really gripped at the half way point and ended up binging the last half of the book in one sitting. I also thought the story was well thought out and nothing seemed to be a stretch of the imagination. I could really see the events in the book really taking place in real. My overall enjoyment of the series was very high, and I was definitely be continuing on with the series.

This book quickly became one of my favorite Ana Huang books. I could not put this book down, even reading a few chapters while waiting for a concert to start. I loved the chemistry and the energy between Dante and Vivian. I really loved them as both a couple and as individual characters. I was happy to finally learn more about who Dante was and to see his love story after getting glimpses of him in the Twisted series and it definitely paid off. The character development that was shown for Vivian was also really satisfying seeing her become the woman she ended the book as in regard to her family and in the relationship. Overall I really enjoyed this dual POV, arranged marriage book.

I loved King of Wrath! The banter was amazing, Vivian’s boldness was perfect and I really enjoyed reading about the family dynamic and her struggles to want to break out of expectations. The romance and the spice were exactly what I wanted from this book, especially seeing Dante get his own story!

For fans of the twisted series if you loved those you’ll love this.
The story follows Dante and Vivian as they are forced to entered an arranged marriage that features plenty of Ana Huang’s staple story telling features. This had me hooked and the only reason I didn’t finish it faster was due to needing to stop reading to work ha!
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
