Overall funny, if a little exhausting after awhile. Gives the fans what they want and plenty of new bits, too. Ideal coffee table read
Likable fluff. I appreciate Netgalley for letting me get a peek at this book, but it would probably translate better in physical form. Hope Hot Saucerman gets a nice fat check from this.
When I saw this book pop up on NetGalley I absolutely knew I needed to read it.
I’ve been a CBB fan for years and that podcast has given my friends and I some of our favorite inside jokes.
This book is wonderful for fans of the pod’ and kind of a trip if you’ve never heard it. I laughed through the whole thing.
It's not often that I feel the absolute need to purchase a physical copy of a book, but this one is an absolute must for my collection. It is so perfect, in the way that Comedy Bang! Bang! is perfect. There are so many familiar characters and ones I will need to revisit. I laughed and cried and laughed through some tears. This is such a fun book!
Perfect for long-time fans of the podcast, "Comedy Bang! Bang! The Podcast: The Book" does a phenomenal job capturing the wackiness of the show. As someone who hasn't listened to the podcast in quite a while, I found myself at times lost, however the book is funny enough to stand on its own, and it's a joy being reintroduced to some of the show's classic characters. While the uninitiated may struggle to see the appeal, this book makes an excellent gift for loyal fans of the podcast, cramming in over a decade's worth of characters, segments, and running gags.
If you are a fan of the CBB podcast, this is a must have/read! Pages of interviews, lists, facts, brochures from fan-favorite characters. I cannot wait to buy this when it comes out!!
Scott Aukerman & all of the Comedy Bang! Bang! contributors have done such an amazing job with this book!
The character profiles, the varying presentation of bits, a third thing, the Comedy Bang! Bang! Book is an absolute MUST for any level of CBB fan!
This feels like a perfect encapsulation of the podcast in a book, and I love it. This is going to be such a treat for CBB fans. Truly the perfect companion to the show!
Scottrick has written a book. A delightful little tome of wit and whimsy that includes a missive from the diary of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber. And I, thanks to NetGalley, was able to glimpse it with all its TKs and placeholders of wonders to come. If you have ever Solo'd a Bolo, this book is for you.
(Do not go into this expecting an oral history of Comedy Bang! Bang! This is not an oral history, this is the comics you love writing as the characters you love)
