I love Murdle. This keeps me occupied instead of scrolling through social media. I love that there is different puzzles and the stories are interesting.

Thank you to St. Martins Press and Netgalley for the ARC. All the above opinions are my own in exchange for a free copy.

This was a fun little collection of mysteries that the reader can solve. I thought it was a nice variety, there was a little something for everyone. I definitely enjoyed it.

I received a free copy of Murdle: Vol 1 from Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press in exchange for an honest review.
Puzzles have always held a special place in my heart, especially when they are logic-based. I hadn’t heard of Murdle puzzles before reviewing this book, but I wish I had. These puzzles hit the perfect mark between logic puzzle and silly, entertaining characters. Lovers of the movie and board game Clue will enjoy the disjointed continuity as they work through the puzzles.
I attempted quite a few puzzles from each of the difficulty sections and found that they were extremely well scaled. The easy ones were quite simple, and so on until the future section felt insane. But each section taught you the skills you would need to move forward and improve your skills. I think Murdle: Volume 1 is a great way to work your brain and build new logic and problem-solving skills.
I’ll be purchasing a hard copy for myself so I can work my way through more of the puzzles, and I look forward to future volumes as well!

Thank you St. Martin's Griffin and Netgalley for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I still play Murdle nearly every day so I was excited to obtain an ARC of a volume compilation of these logic puzzles. While I enjoy playing Murdle, I want to clarify that part of my rating is that this volume is primarily limited to physical copy. Through my E-ARC, trying to play those puzzles in the book meant that I needed a paper to draw out the logic puzzle squares to narrow down the criminal from the innocent. However, the volume shows there is a cube logic puzzle setup directly on the page of that murder. Therefore, for those interested in buying this Murdle puzzle, I highly suggest purchasing the physical copy instead of a digital format.

Other than that, I had no complaints. There were various criminals and different stories and they didn't create a story so you can choose which story you want to do or start from the beginning and do the puzzles in a linear manner.

As someone who loves mysteries this riddle book was perfect for my crime loving self. I was able to do this on my f.ignition to Hawaii and made the time go by so fast!

A new twist on the daily puzzle, Murdle is a mix between a murder mystery and a classic logic puzzle. The installments in this book are based off the popular web puzzles by G.T. Karber. and get increasingly difficult the deeper you get (though none will truly break your brain). Nothing too graphic or bloody, these puzzles are intended to cater to those of us who want a little crime with our crosswords or slaying with our sudoku, but in a cozy package.

Like any type of puzzle, it conforms to a pattern, which, if you work through the book in one go might get a little repetitive. However, don't do as I did. Dabble. One or two a day is a fun addition to the other puzzles out there.

Trying to read the puzzles on my phone was too difficult. I think these would be fun to do with the actual book. Unfortunately, the pictures were grayed out and the formatting was weird. I’d definitely try the physical version though.

This book did not download well on my Kindle and was difficult to read as a result. It does look like a great puzzle book, I do plan to purchase a hard copy.

This did not download well onto the kindle so it was hard to use. I think this book has a great concept but will have to get via paperback.

The book isn't made for a Kindle but the paperback version is so much fun and I love to do the puzzles in my free time or right before bed to wind down with.

This book was so fun, with mysteries ranging from easy to difficult. It was like playing Clue without the board!

I like the creative way this book is put together, a twist on the standard logic puzzle. The way it lays out the different suspects, locations, etc. with information you can pull into the puzzle makes for an interesting approach and a little more detective work on the part of the reader. The early puzzles in the book have been on the easy end, but there are also extra hints for each puzzle at the back of the book.

Quick summary: The online mystery game Murdle has become a fun daily diversion - now, you can take Murdle with you anywhere, with puzzles of varying difficulty.

I found Murdle by accident, and I was excited to see that this book was coming out soon. I enjoyed the puzzles - they have enough silly details to make you smile/laugh/roll your eyes at the puns and jokes. There are four levels of difficulty, as well as an introduction to solving logic puzzles at the beginning of the book. If you love Clue, this is the book for you!

One note of caution: I do not recommend getting this as an e-book unless you are committed to transposing the grids onto paper, as it's really hard to solve the puzzles without pencil and paper. Physical book is the way to go here, and I think this would be a fun stocking stuffer for puzzle lovers!

Thank you to St. Martin's Griffin for my e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed taking this book to the pub with me and solving the murders with the bartenders when the bar was slow. This was the perfect solution to anyone who's ever considered themself a detective and needed a "whodunnit" to solve!

I thought I was getting into a puzzle mystery that we needed to solve. This is more of a logic puzzle activity book. I do adore these styles of puzzles, but doing them digitally was very difficult as I couldn't write on it in this format. I think if the description had been clearer, I wouldn't be as disappointed as I am. I am only disappointed because I expected it to be a word puzzle or in the style of a grown-up Encyclopedia Brown mystery anthology with short mysteries and solutions at the back of the book.

A lot of fun for mystery lovers! I do think this book works better in a physical format, but we still had fun going through and solving the different puzzles through the digital format. Definitely will be purchasing!

Such a fun book! I feel like this is best read in physical format, as it is easier to look back at information.

I learned my brain does not like these kinds of puzzles. I think a lot of people would really enjoy it, just not for me.

Murdle is a great lot of fun for mystery lovers with curious minds!

Thank you for the great time. You wouldn't believe how many friends saw me on a break trying to figure out your mysteries on my phone who are now planning on buying your book, either for themselves or for loved ones.

P. S. I am an enthusiastic coffee fan, and I am in LOVE twitch my color changing Murdle mug (I cannot drink a hot beverage that isn't in THIS MUG)! I just wanted you to know your fans really DO APPRECIATE you (as well as your very thoughtful gift). 😉
