Murdle is just pure fun. I remember doing these types of games when I was a kid (although hopefully a less murdery version). If you are looking for a different type of brain game pick this one up. These do get more complicated as the boom goes on - if you get stuck these ones are great with friends too!

I thought I would like this one and maybe I would with a physical copy. Unfortunately the ebook doesn’t have the images embedded. This makes it very difficult to attempt to do the puzzles without the pre-drawn grid.

For those armchair detectives, Murdle is an absolute must have. It’s a book that would make a great gift for Christmas or birthdays. I am definitely pre-ordering the book for myself as well as ordering both Volume I and Volume II (releases September 2023,) for my sister and brother-in-law as gifts for Christmas.
There are 100 different puzzles ranging from elementary to impossible. Though I did find that the elementary puzzles were still a bit challenging.
Rather than just offering a list of clues, the reader is also provided a method to solve the mysteries — a grid. Using the grid, the solver is able to eliminate or add suspects, weapons, and locations to logically resolve the puzzles. Additional hints as well as the solutions are provided in the back of the book.
The ebook format wasn’t the best for reading Murdle. Only because the layout isn’t conducive for using the grid and referencing the clues. I’m sure that the physical copy will resolve that issue.
Fans of the boardgame Clue will just love this book. I certainly did. Five outstanding stars.
I received a digital ARC from St. Martin’s Press through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

This is so much fun. I love wordle and reading about mysteries so there was no way I could turn this one down. I sat around at a family dinner last night, solving these puzzles and everyone loved it, regardless of age. I highly recommend this!

Murdle is a fun activity book for puzzle lovers. It contains logic puzzles at 3 different levels of difficulty. The directions are easy go follow, and I see this as a challenging yet relaxing exercise for people who enjoy logic puzzles, especially if they enjoy mysteries too. Readers should know that it only contains one type of puzzle, albeit with twists for the different difficulties.

This is a fantastic book for all the sleuths out there who love solving mysteries and puzzles. These murder mystery puzzles range from easy to difficult. I had a lot of fun solving these puzzles. The book does a great job explaining how to solve these types of puzzles and there are even hints in the back of the book if you get stuck. So if you like puzzles and want to keep your mind sharp by solving a mystery then I highly recommend checking this one out!

I enjoyed this book! When I heard about this book, I just had to request it on NetGallery.
The book is fun and full of tips and puzzles for readers. The author did a wonderful job with this book.
I recommend mystery lovers and fans of puzzles check out this book.
My thanks to St. Martin's Press and NetGallery for a digital copy of this book for my review!

A great book for sleuths of all ages! It makes you feel like you can pit wits with the best of them or if you enjoyed trying to help Encyclopedia Brown solve his mysteries then I would highly recommend this book!

If you love logic puzzles this one is for you. The illustrations, codes, and maps immersed throughout the stories brought the clues to life. A fun addition to the life of any armchair detective.
The book was difficult to consume in an e-book format and would have been better suited for print or editable format.

The format on the kindle didn't really work. It was a bit hard to navigate and the pictures didn't show up. However, I LOVE Murdle! I have this preordered. I think it's a must have.

I am having a hard time reviewing this book because I tried reading it on kindle and it was very challenging with the formatting. There were no images and all the words were jumbled together. I also tried to download the file, and it didn't work. It says I could access through my netgalley app but I couldn't figure out how to do that. I imagine the print version will not have these issues though.
BUT, I have done Murdle puzzles online and I adore them. I really brings me back to my childhood when I would do logic puzzles with my mom. Love the game Clue, so it's like all the good things wrapped into one.

This is a fun book for a murder mystery puzzler. Perfect for an armchair detective to solve a series of murder mysteries. Start out at the elementary level, move onto medium level then onto hard-boil level and then onto impossible. Answer the questions on whodunit how, when and why. Examine the clues, interview the witnesses, and use the power of deduction to complete the grid and catch the culprit. Packed with illustrations, codes, and maps, and brimming with wit and intrigue, Volume 1 is the must-have detective casebook for the secret sleuth in everyone. If you like puzzles, then you would love a hard back copy of this book to keep on hand for a rainy day experience.

An Absolute Blast For Mystery Lovers
A bit of a cross between 5 Minute Mysteries and a game of Clue, the brief synopsis and collection of clues is laid out before you, so you can channel your inner Sherlock.

I honestly love playing Murdle, but the formatting on this is not great for kindle. Not the author's fault, obviously.
Definitely pick up a copy if you're looking for something puzzling - just stick to a physical format.

I wasn't aware of Murdle until I saw this and now I'm hooked! I want to travel just so I can solve these on the plane! Thank you so much to St. Martin's Press (St. Martin's Griffin) for the ARC of this one! I can't wait to get a copy when it comes out!

This is so fun! Grab a glass of wine and a few of your closest friends before you sit back and dive into solving these mysteries!

I had requested a physical copy of this book but was sent a digital one. I appreciate the complimentary copy, but I found it unreadable. All the pictures were black boxes, the formatting was all over the place, and trying to read and solve the riddles was impossible on my kindle app. So I don’t have a good review for this one, except to say that digital arcs may not be the best route for this type of book.
Thanks for the opportunity.

I want to give feedback, but will not be posting this review on GoodReads or Amazon. As I feel it doesn't accurately reflect the puzzle/content.
I downloaded this via Kindle; and all the images/logic grids are not viewable. (Honestly, I am not very good at creating my own grids). So this was disappointing and made the book more frustrating than fun...and more time consuming.
Here's the thing...I didn't know murdle was a website. I am now addicted to Murdle and really want to get a copy of the book to enjoy.
I tried to download via the NetGalley app but my Mac does not support those document/apps needed for the particular document ending. It got to the point where after an hour and a half of downloading apps to try and view the document....it just wasn't worth it.
Needs to revamp the kindle edition or just not make it available via kindle.
I was really looking forward to this book, but it was a dud for me because of the above.

I’m a huge fan of the daily game, and I absolutely loved solving these puzzles! Murdle is so fun and witty, it’s hard not to be addicted!

I loved this murder mystery puzzle book! It is basically like Clue where you have to find the who, where, and with what in each puzzle. You are given a few clues and by process of elimination you can figure it out! In each puzzle you are given a blank chart to help you cross out the suspects.l and keep track of everything. As you get farther in the book, the mysteries get harder. This is a perfect way to pass the time. I love logical puzzles. I would recommend to everyone!
