I used to love reading this historical romance novels so much when I was a teen, and I am so happy I got the opportunity to read this one. We have Arial and Peter, and they both need help, Arial needs saving from her crazy cousin who is trying to take her fortune away and she needs to find a suitable husband who will protect her assets and then some, and then Peter’s family fortune is going down the drain. It creates for the perfect romance but the thing is that Arial is disfigured due to a fire she was a victim of. She is not beautiful at all, in her eyes, and I hate how people treat her like a monster because of it. Peter saw beyond that and throughout their beginnings together started to even see that she is an amazingly beautiful women inside and out. This book gave me the feels, because Peter is just perfection, I cant say it enough but I loved how he was always by her side protecting her always from the horrible people and their horrible comments on Arial. Overall this book was a delight to read. Thanks Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

In Lady Beast's Bridegroom, a historical romance, heroine Lady Ariel is being threatened by her cousin over the fortune left to her by her father. Horribly scarred as a child in a fire, she is a recluse and not out in Society, but when she fears that she might be successfully committed to an asylum she decides that she will risk marriage in exchange for protection. Enter her former childhood friend, Peter, Viscount Ransome, who is as beautiful as she is considered beastly. While initially loathe to sell himself into marriage to save his estates, he feels responsible for the fire and also retains an affection for the girl he remembers. While all romance novels require a suspension of disbelief, the instalust AND instalove was pretty challenging to buy. Peter was way too good to be true, and for a recluse, Ariel was way too forthright, practical and constantly composed for her background. Also, this is the first book in a long time that made me LOL with purple prose ("generative organ" and "garden of delight"???)

That said, this is an overall charming story, with the protagonists pretty saintly and the evil people pretty evil, but it was fine to while away a few hours with.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my unbiased review.

4 STARS!!!!
Lady Beast's Bridegroom is a well-written story with great plot and characterization. As mentioned, it is indeed a twist - a subversion of the usual Beauty and the Beast, with the lady getting a chance to have a beastly appearance and the beauty being, well, Beau.
This book was a great read, the kind you can't put down when even when you know you have to sleep! It reminded me of one of my favorite books - Mary Balogh's Someone to Wed, which is more points in its favor!

Apart from the obvious 'Beauty and the Beast' trope, the author makes use of several well-loved romance tropes - and does so marvelously! There is the all time favorite marriage of convenience, as well as some really cute childhood-friends-to-lovers, the angsty "I love them but they don't love me back"(spoiler alert-they do) and of course, the quintessential evil stepmother! And evil stepsister. And evil butler. And evil cousin turned heir. And evil asylum doctor and workers. And evil pretty gold digger debutante. And evil pretty gold digger debutante's mother...
So yeah, we have a whole gamut of evil people ready to torment, ruin and destroy the happiness of our couple - which is great, because it pretty much leaves no space for within-relationship torment and trauma!

Arial and Peter are very mature and understanding humans, not to mention strong, brave and kind, but what really makes this relationship work the best is Peter seeing Arial in a figure-flattering dress one(1) time and going - Gasp! Goddess. The best kind of heroes are always the simpy ones, and Peter never disappoints!

Special mention to the quite delightful sex scenes, and extra special mention to the euphemisms for body parts! I'm down for 'garden of delights' but 'generative organ' is a NO from me!

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley!

I swooned, I cried and emersed myself into this heart wrenching story from the very beginning. I really enjoyed every minute of this amazing story. Lady Beast's Bridegroom is a captivating reversed Beauty and the Beast retelling worth your time.

Friends, Desperation, Gossip, Family:
A new author for me and I must this author bravely tackles a very emotional touchy subject with beauty and compassion. The plot and characters are very appealing, charismatic, stoic, and kind. This is a beautiful love story that from the first pages the more I read the more I was totally captivated.
Ariel is a wonderful heartfelt kind character with scars inside and out. We follow her as she learns to overcome her fears and finds true love. It's not an easy journey for her but with Peter's help, and many reassurances, along with his deep growing love for her they both find the love they deserve.
Peter's characters is strong and stoic, heartfelt and full of thoughtfulness and kindness.
Yes, there are villains, excitement, fear, and many disturbing scenes for the couple to overcome and they do so beautifully.
My favorite scene in the book if the wedding night where it is so beautifully written by the author.
Several heartfelt confessions brought forth a tear or two.
Wonderful epilogue brings joy to the reader.
Personally, John is a best friend character I would like to read about in future book by this author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy for my honest opinion.
5 Star: Beautiful Cover for a beautiful story.

I really enjoyed this one! After 3 two-star reads in a row, I knew I needed something great to pull me out of a slump. This was perfect for that.

It was perfect purely because everything about it was adorable. The found family aspects were adorable. The main romance was adorable. Everything about this just made me happy. It was so nice to have a book that didn't try to do angst or arguing. It just did happiness and domestic bliss, and it was incredible.

I also loved this twist on Beauty and the Beast. Normally I don't love it in non-fantasy settings, but I loved it here. So good!!

Lady Beast's Bridegroom is an entertaining take on a reverse Beauty and the Beast trope. A heavily scarred FMC finds herself in a marriage of convenience to the all too handsome MMC and the duo must navigate the ton while also navigating one another.

Lady Arial is the wealthy daughter of an Earl, who left her his fortune much to the dismay of Arial's cousin. When she learns he seeks to have her committed, she seeks protection in the only way available to young women at the time - through marriage. Peter, Lord Ransome, has inherited a title deep in dun territory as well as an evil relative or two of his own. Arial and Peter were friends in their childhoods, and in fact, his mother died in the same fire that disfigured Arial. Through a combination of design and circumstance, the two rescue each other through marriage.

The story follows Arial as she learns that outside appearances matter very little (Peter already knows) and as she gains confidence in the entirety of the person that she is. There is intrigue and danger, but I think personal growth remains the main driver of the story. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

4 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade for an ARC of this book. The opinions herein are my own.
