Love the story, it consists of a great adventure full of lessons and fluff!

Am a 20-ish young adult but i truly love the story because it is unique. I felt at ease when reading this, and totally engaged with the stories, i think it could be a great material for escapism from hustle and bustle of our burdened mind. Sometimes it only takes a creative books to bring us on a journey far away from our real life mind-cluttering matters.

This is a great little book with amazing illustrations. I think kids of all ages will really love this book and storyline.

A slightly unusual look at loyalty and love, as a girl has a cockamamie idea to get in a boat and sail away to sea, while her dog is reluctant to get involved, realising there won't be room for it in amongst all her toys and suchlike she puts on board. But when she finally reaches the sea and finds herself in trouble, who could possibly be there to save her?

Showing us that the best of friends can be relied on, even if we end up in a mess of our own making, this has a nice watercolour styling, perfectly in keeping with the watery scenery. It just lacked a certain something – either the common sense logicality to make it shine, or the fantasy gained by going fully the other way. As such, I think three and a half stars about right – and the observation that this was not the best 'lost' children's title revived by this imprint.

A pointless story, to be honest. The characters' friendship might be heartwarming, but I'm not a fan of the message that the book sends out i.e. stay put, let the fear of the unknown stop you, return to square one, etc. I understand what the author was trying to convey but the book just falls flat for me. Despite its beautiful colours, the book is also poorly designed as the text does not stand out and is hard to read. Not something I would recommend at all.

This is a Children's book that I read to my twin boys. I really loved the pictures in this book. I am really sad that I felt that this book was poorly written. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Thank you NetGalley and Rosen Publishing, Windmill Books for accepting my request to read and review Zoe's Boat.

Whimsical illustrations aid in diluting the seriousness of the story. I'm assuming from an artistry standpoint the style and colors soften the eye and brain. The prospects of a 7-year-old taking a boat down a river to a sea for a time frame that allows seeds to grow requires parental guidance and more imagination than I have.

I found the story between Zoe and her dog realistic. Love for a pet can be convenient love. Friendship with a loved pet can be forgiving.

Overall, the story was not one I would select; I see more questions than answers given the target age of 3 and up.

Zoe's Boat is a beautifully illustrated picture book about the meaning of friendship and the ties that bind us.

Zoe is determined to sail off to sea but her closest companion, Old Dog, is not so sure that he wants to join her on such a daring adventure. As Zoe sails out toward the sea, Dog keeps a close watch by following along on the bank until the boat reaches the open sea and he can follow no more. But when he hears Zoe's cries of distress as she is toppled by a giant wave, he knows that it is up to him to take the plunge in order to save his most beloved friend.

This is a lovely story that reminds us of the beauty of friendship. It is sure to strike a chord with readers of all ages. Recommended.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Rosen Publishing for an ARC.
