Thank you netgalley and publishers for allowing me to read and review!
This was good! Personally though, I didn’t really feel much of a connection between Russ and Sam. I really was wanting more there especially at the start. Russ asks her out multiple times, and she turns him down every time… and then he gets the message and stops, they go like 2 months without speaking, and then suddenly she’s like possessive over him. It just didn’t really make a ton of sense to me. Then from that point on, their attraction seemed purely casual. So, I had a hard time believing their feelings for each other for a lot of this. However, what I enjoyed most was their own journeys in their careers and personal growth.

This book out did it's predecessor as the love story for Sam and Russ showed adults finding love while figuring out how who they are individually. Seeing how the relationships they see in their everyday lives impact their own was done great while still maintaining their own point of view and thoughts.

This book just wasn't geared towards a reader like myself.

I enjoyed it, but I don't feel as though much happened and it wasn't very memorable for me.

Meh, it was okay. Like a cold breakfast sammie. You eat it because you are hungry but you don't really enjoy it. Maybe a bit or two but def not the whole thing,.. If that makes sense.

This was a quick and easy read and I loved the chemistry between the leads, mixed with the body positivity all books should have. This gave me Jasmine Guillory vibes and I will definitely be reading more from Jackson in the future.

Just thinking about this story puts a gushy smile on my face. The body positive romance like no other I’ve ever read before. This was so utterly unique and enchanting, and paced in Jackson’s signature slow burning style. This book took my breath away.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

I really wanted to love this book, but I honestly could never quite vibe with it. It was a fun easy read, but not my favourite, and at times it felt like the chemistry was off. fun generally easy read, but not my favourite.

What a cute story, that was both funny and sweet, with plenty of spice! I’m on a roll with the cute romance, and knew that Danielle Jackson would bring a great story with lovable characters that I’ve come to expect from her previous books. They were such well rounded characters that came across so vividly, and I really enjoyed their character development take shape.

*many thanks to Berkley and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I enjoyed this book! I felt like the characters were engaging and diverse and genuinly fun. I do feel like the pacing in the beginning was a little slow but I did get into it after that.

This is an amazing, funny, beautifully written, and spicy series!! I love her writing and the way this series is developing. In fact, i think I liked this one even more than the first.

This book never quite clicked for me. In the first few chapters, some of the backstory of each character got bogged down and felt rather repetitive. Sam’s health struggles and stress were reiterated multiple times, Russ’s family history/trauma deeply delved into, but it didn’t always work to progress the story. I wanted there to be more movement towards them getting together, and instead the characters spent too much time apart.
The author does a great job of writing female friendship, and I found myself more interested in scenes with the friends/side characters. Unfortunately, in a romance novel that’s not exactly what I’m looking for.

Samantha Sawyer is the office manager for a luxury boudoir photography studio with a busy summer ahead running the company’s mobile photo booth at Chicago’s summer festivals. She doesn’t have time for love, but maybe something more low-key would be fun…

Russell Montgomery works at a local restaurant, and coincidentally, is running the restaurant’s food truck at the same summer festivals Sam is. Russell has had a thing for Sam since they first met through their mutual friends over a year ago and is looking forward to working alongside her. He doesn’t want anything casual, but if that’s all Sam is offering, he’d be a fool to pass it up.

While I liked the banter between Sam and Russell, I thought there were a few too many things going on in this book. Sam is struggling with work-life balance, body positivity issues after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, and intimacy issues stemming from her parents’ relationship. Russell is trying to reunite with his brother as he plans for culinary school, and is working through his own intimacy issues as well.

Well-rounded characters are great. We want to see characters who have more going on in their lives than just a romance, but it felt like these characters had a few too many things to work through to be wrapped up so neatly by the end of the book. I would’ve liked to see maybe one or two of these issues addressed and worked through, as opposed to lightly touching on all six of the issues these characters faced. I also wanted the side characters to be pared down and developed a bit more.

Overall, I liked reading about less conventional characters who felt more like real people. Maybe that’s why I wanted a little more for them. Accidentally in Love is still a light, fun novel about two people coming together despite life’s obstacles and going after the things you want.

Following the group of friends introduced in The Accidental Pinup, this enemies to lovers story focuses on Sam and Russell as they run into each other at summer festivals throughout Chicago. Readers who enjoyed The Accidental Pinup will love seeing the hero and heroine pop in to the story, as well as enjoy the new relationship featured here.

Every character the author, Danielle Jackson writes is vivid and beautiful, but she has truly gone above and beyond with these two leads in this intimately written wonder of a novel. I endlessly enjoyed reading it.

Accidentally in Love was the perfect love letter to summer in Chicago! Sam and Russ had a great slow burn, will they or won’t they situation going on. Their friend and family group is top tier (and hanging out with them would be a fun time!) Danielle Jackson did a phenomenal job with their character development and describing everything in just the perfect way to make you feel like you were right there in the book, from the clothing and food descriptions to the fun nights out. I recommend this one to folks who love a romance where love takes the couple by surprise while they are trying to figure life out. I Received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

This book is out in the world today! Samantha has a busy summer taking the renovated Buxom Boudoir photobus to street festivals in Chicago. The worst part is spending time with Russ who’s in charge of the food trucks…or is it really the best part?!
.
I enjoyed their group of friends and it’s always fun reading a book set in Chicago during the summertime.

I don’t think I’ll be giving this author another chance after disliking her first novel and not liking this one unfortunately. Nothing happened and it was very surface level, which is sometimes okay but I was looking forward to more with this author and the representation

I enjoyed this one more than the first one in the series. The chemistry between Russ and Sam was hot and steamy! There were times when the same background information about the characters kept repeating which didn't need to be.
