Return to Macall has a great story within its pages about a cast of characters finding love and family in the small Idaho town. This is a story about love, creating family and what can be accomplished when a community comes together and supports one another. It especially important as something nefarious moves into town.
The two primary characters, Sam and Lily, their stories develop the plot and intertwine the remaining cast of characters. The main characters are entertaining and build a strong diverse cast of personalities. There still is rooms to further develop the characters, but they all mesh well and their roles are maintained. The characters and timeline could use more connectivity but the pacing worked to keep pushing the narrative forward .
The book is very descriptive in parts but that sometimes is over done. Overall, the story is intriguing from a multitude of angles and keeps the reader engaged. I can recommend giving this book a read as its story line pushes the norm of the typical romance novel so it’s refreshing in its own way.
