Thank you Netgalley for this e-arc, all opinions are my own.

Chloe Liese is one of my favourite romance writers. She teaches us so much about mental health, neurodivergence, etc etc.
If only you is no different.
This story was very sweet, I adored the way Sebastian and Ziggi got to know each other more and more and grew to trust each other. I would have liked the pacing to be a little bit more evened out, and a little bit less superficial. This book feels like Liese struggled with getting everything just right, which has resulted in making me feel a whole lot less than the previous books.
Having said this, I have a feeling that autistic women will be delighted to read this story about Ziggi and will easily be able to relate to her.

If you only knew how huge a fan I am of Chloe Liese! Her Bergman Brother Series is one of my top favorite romance series of all time, so I jumped at the chance to read this book early. There was a lot of great representation in this book (Autism, bisexuality, pansexuality, and Celiac disease), which Chloe does well in everything she writes. If you identify, you feel seen, and if you don’t identify, you learn more about other people.

Ziggy is our youngest Bergman sibling. She’s 22 and plays for the US National Soccer Team and Angel City FC. Even though she’s an adult, she feels her family still sees her as a kid. She wants to be taken more seriously, and seen for who she is now.

Sebatian (Seb) is teammates and besties with Ren, Ziggy’s older brother (from Always Only You). He’s in a little bit of trouble and needs to fix his image so his career isn’t ruined. Ziggy proposes a fake friendship with Seb. Her good girl image will help his reputation and his bad boy notoriety will help her be taken more seriously.

Let me tell you guys, this book has ALL of the swoon and ALL of the pining. Ziggy is sarcastic and sassy and they tease each other relentlessly. I love me some banter and it is TOP TIER in this book. They’re opposites, but are perfect for each other. They’re honest with each other and push each other out of their comfort zones. Ziggy is good at hiding in plain sight, but Seb sees her. He is attracted to Ziggy, but doesn’t want to ruin the friendship with Ren if it goes bad. He also doesn’t believe himself worthy of her. There’s a heart of gold beneath his bad boy exterior and Ziggy is the only one who can get through.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I was smiling the ENTIRE time I was reading. It may just tie Always Only You for my favorite of the series. I absolutely loved all the call backs, especially the Shakespeare Club, and yoga (IYKYK). And it wouldn’t be a Berman sibling book if there wasn’t at least a little meddling and a trip to the beloved A-frame.

I can’t wait to see what the final Bergman sibling, Viggo, is up to in Escondido. I grew up near there and have a couple ideas, but we’ll see if any of the are correct when Only and Forever comes out.

Thank you to Chloe Liese and NetGalley. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.
5 BIG Stars

If Only You is the sixth book in the Bergman Brother series and Ziggy's installement. It is also now my favorite of the series.
If Only You follows Ziggy, now in her twenties, who feels she is not taken seriously and is viewed for who she was in the past. It also follows Sebastian, who has a bad boy reputation and needs to better his image. The two make a deal to be fake friends for the mutual benefit of it all.
With that out of the way, i simply adored this book. I have loved Ziggy since the second book in this series and i was so excited to read her book and see more of her, and i was not disappointed. I relate to her and her struggles so deeply and i was touched by her journey in this book.
Sebastian on the other hand, took me a bit to love. I was put off by his actions and self destructive behaviour and i did not know if i would even like him in the end. But wow i am in love with that man!
And their relationship with each other is so tender, kind and beautiful. I loved how many little domestic moments they have and how they show love in the little things and actions.
I do not know how Chloe does it but she manages to outdo herself with every book. And do not get me started in the Bergman family moments in this book. It made my heart so warm.
Now speaking on the bisexual rep, i did miss seeing Ziggy expressing attraction to women, but other than that i had no problem with it.
So wrapping it up, If Only You is an amazing book that irradiated so much love that it made my cry.

Oh my god CHLOE! This was so good. I am in love with Ziggy and Sebastian! I really enjoyed their friendship and them opening up to each other. Also, Sebastian and I have the same birthday! He’s definitely a Scorpio. Absolutely excellent and is giving my favorite Bergman book a run for its money!

3.5/5

I generally liked this. I don’t think it’s a book that really impacted me, nor will I really remember much of it but it was still enjoyable. It just felt very heavy on these life lessons in a way and there was a lot of inner monologue or trying to teach each other a lesson. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it just felt a bit repetitive. We see a friends to lovers trope done very well. It was very cute, especially Sebastian. I really liked Sebastian and how he was able to be vulnerable. It was nice to see him accept that he was worth more. Seeing his journey and how he is this trouble maker yet has such a soft spot for Ziggy was really adorable. Same for Ziggy, we see her become her true self and really stand up to others in a way that she wanted to. This was an okay read that I’m sure some people would really enjoy.

4.5⭐️

Chloe Liese’s newest addition to the Bergman brothers series is PHENOMENAL. Sebastian and Ziggy were emotional, pure, heartbreaking beautiful and so sweet.

Here’s a little bit of what to except:
- no third act breakup !!!!
- reformed playboy
- good girl x bad boy
- fake friends to friends to lovers
- SO much character growth
- sports romance between 2 athletes
- a TON of mutual pining
- and all the Bergman shenanigans

The queer, autism & auto immune representation was so good. Reading this and seeing someone struggling with an auto immune disease was so relatable and realistic. I started out being wary of Sebastian, he’s a playboy who has a crazy reputation and history. He was grumpy and a little mean in the beginning but his character growth was SO good and beautiful to watch. He’s a secret softie who deserves the world. And ZIGGY? I loved her sm. It was fun to read about a Bergman sibling you don’t know much about. She is beyond relatable and I loved seeing her grow into herself. Also the love they have for each other was so pure. Watching them slowly realize they are worthy of accepting love from each other and themselves was my fav part. I think some people will see them better off as friends but I saw the chemistry and ATE it up.

Maybe the only reason I’m not giving it a full 5⭐️ is because there is a big time jump I didn’t love and I felt some of the characters were not fleshed out fully (more like their back stories). Things happened off page that we were told about but not shown that I wished we were.

But all the cameos from my fav siblings I was OBSESSED!!!! Ren shined throughout this book UGHHH I LOVE HIM!!

Also wished we got an epilogue but I’ll let it slide.

Full disclosure I don't think it is possible for Chloe Liese to write a book that I don't think is perfect in every way. This is maybe not my favorite book of hers (it will take a lot to remove Always Only You from that top spot), but this is a great book by any definition.
As expected from every Liese book: the representation in this book is so well done (bi FMC, pan MMC, autism rep, celiac rep) and interwoven with great plotlines, characters, and with the added bonus of no second act breakup.
These books don't shy away from bigger issues while still maintaining that warm happy feeling I'm craving when I pick up one of her books.

On a personal note - as always thank you Chloe for writing and representing neurodivergent and queer characters and showing not just their struggles but their joy and love. I always get choked up seeing myself in so many of your characters.

First and foremost thank you to Chloe Liese and NetGalley for the eARC of this beautiful masterpiece in exchange for an honest review.

I have been sitting on this for a MONTH and even though i do not think i do it justice, here it goes — it’s perfect and you should read it. Okay byeeeeee.

Jk jk, imagine that was the entire review.

But what you can expect is what we have come to know and love Chloe for — amazing representation (bi FMC, pan MMC, autism rep, celiac rep) mixed with some of my favorite tropes (brothers bff + sports romance) with a side of slow burn and the cherry on top: NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP!!!!!

I will give you a min to digest how perfect this book is.

We ready? Okay amazing, so now! Let’s get to the juicy!

1. The playlist was immaculate — as always for me, the playlist just set the mood. I can listen to it while i read, while i work, while i do some chores (cause apparently adulting doesn’t stop for no one) and it gave me the perfect vibes before i jumped in a devoured this book.
2. I missed the bergman fam and their partners so so so much and i loved getting snippets of them AND their shenanigans, as always, were in full effect
3. Ziggy — wow. She surprised me a LOT. I was scared that I was not going to be able to relate to her/her book as much or not fall in love like i had with the previous 5 but, to nobodies surprise but my own, i loved it. She really grew a lot into herself, into her character, learn to put herself first, to stand up for herself, and I just fell in love with the new and improved Ziggy.
4. Seb — okay, to be fair, by the description alone i was like…. severely dehydrated, some may say PARCHEDDDDDD. But can i just say that him and Gavin are like my fav grumps (sorry Axel, and everyone that loves him pretend you didnt see this point). But I just love him, his friendship with the RAY OF SUNSHINE THAT IS REN!!! The way that he cares without trying to show it. He is just hurting and I just wanted to give him a huge hug and tell him he is loved.
5. Ziggy & Seb — my two struggling athletes that found themselves in this fake friendship. Ahhhh, what a joy it was to watch you banter, geek out, support each other, stand up for one another and fall in love. I am being selfish and not sharing my favorite momentSSSSSS cause I almost want yall to go in blind first but TRUST AND BELIEVE, there are several moment SSSSS (PLURAL!!!) that will pull on your heart strings.
6. Y’all KNOWWWWW that a slow burn is not for me, but I was HOOKED since the first line and I just could not put it down. So when you get this book, make sure you find yourself a nice cozy place, get yourself a beverage and some tissues, and get comfy cause there is no way you are getting up.

On a final note, to Chloe, thank you for depicting queer representation so seamlessly in a romance book. For not only to have one, but both main characters be part of the LGBTQ+ community AND be athletes, it is extremely important. The way that Iyoha do justice to your queer characters is priceless and this is one of the MANY reasons this book will be a top favorite of 2023 and be added to the list of forever favorites.

I genuinely have to say that Ollie and Gav have some serious competition for my number one spot.

Chloe Liese brings us back to the Bergman families big open arms for the sixth installment of the series. While the Bergmans' are the most accepting, loving family you can imagine, youngest child Sigrid "Ziggy" notices that they haven't quite accepted her for the 22 year old woman she has become. But maybe it's not all their fault, so she takes some cues from her brother's friend Sebastian, to transform her outsides to match the insides: emboldened, noticed, assertive. Sebastian is at the bottom of the crash-and-burn spiral he's been intentionally living. He wants to tarnish his name as deeply as possible to separate himself from both his biological father and his stepfather. Reform for the bad boy is in order, though, if he wants to return to hockey when his injury heals and Ziggy has cornered him into a publicity focused relationship.
As a fan of this series, I thoroughly enjoyed Ziggy's story. All the Bergman's show up and the subplot with Ren and Frankie is so sweet you'd want to read this for their update alone. Ziggy has grown up A LOT from from the bullied, shy girl of book 1, and Liese works to show the reader that people with autism aren't static. Sebastian is the set of "fresh eyes' that Ziggy needs to help show her family her found confidence. He helps open the door for her world to expand, but she gets to lead the way. It's lovely. Sebastian finds the acceptance and love of a big, warm family, like most of the love interests in this series. Mama Bergman is quick to protect him under her wing and Dr. B sees the good in him from the start.
Lovely book, would recommend reading the series in order to avoid any spoilers and to catch all the side character references.
Thank you so much for the ARC!

I’ve been so excited to get Ziggy’s story and I was giddy to finally have it in my hands!⁣

Gah, this book! 😍 I love this series! That’s not a secret. The entire Bergman family has my heart with their meddling, their teasing, and their big family feel. But being the youngest of 7 myself, Ziggy was always one of my favorite characters because I felt that “baby” kinship with her. Her feelings about how her family treated her as the youngest were SPOT ON! ⁣

We see a more mature Ziggy in this book. One who has learned what works for her and what doesn’t in regard to being on the autism spectrum. We see a Ziggy who wants to dirty up her image a little. Enter Sebastian!⁣

This man is the textbook bad book…a player off the ice and a fighter on the ice. And his transformation over the course of the book was incredible to witness! The fake friendship he starts with Ziggy slowly turns into a real friendship, and he doesn’t have many of those. Slowly, his walls come down and he lets Ziggy into his heart…⁣

“𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘢𝘬 𝘶𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳’𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘥, 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘻𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨.”⁣

Y’all, I highlighted several things in this book and I almost never take the time to do that!! The swoon with this man was real! The way he wants to be a better man for her - 🥹🥹🥹⁣

What to expect:⁣
⚽️ Brother’s best friend (Ren)⁣
🏒 SLOW burn (that I wasn’t even mad about)⁣
⚽️ An amazing meddling brothers scene⁣
🏒 A very protective Frankie ❤️⁣
⚽️ a 🔥🔥🔥 on my spice level⁣
🏒 the A-frame is basically everyone’s wingman at this point 😍⁣

In short - don’t wait on this one!!⁣

Thank you to Chloe and Netgalley for my eARC. All opinions are my own.

I've been dying for Ziggy's book since Frankie helped to get her diagnosed with autism in Book 2. I was delighted with what I found here. She is a professional soccer player in her own right and hears a bunch of unkind things about herself when she's trying to get comfortable at a wedding. It unleashes all of her insecurities at once and she takes off alone to get herself figured out.

I fell in love with Sebastian as soon as he twirled the underwear she flung at the sea at this wedding in rage. He brings his A-game to the flirting before he realized who she was and immediately backed down. He's in enough trouble in his personal life and loves his best friend/teammate Ren too much to inflict himself upon one of his beloved siblings.

Through a series of unfortunate events, they end up making a deal. Knock the halo on her reputation a bit and clean his up at the same time to get them in a better position professionally. But ABSOLUTELY NO FUNNY BUSINESS. This is friendship only, buddy.

I will say this is a complete slow burn but seeing them fall in love slowly was lovely. Plus he takes her to the book store for some macking and tells her to pick out whatever she wants so the man has excellent seduction skills.

Thank you to Netgalley and Chloe Liese for a copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.

If Only You is a fantastic strangers to friends to lovers romance that will have readers rushing to the last page. I have loved the entire Bergman Family series and this book is no exception! I already know I am going to sob when I read the last book. In If Only You, Seb and Ziggy agree to be friends to rehab their reputation. In classic good girl x bad boy fashion, they find themselves in need of a certain influence on each other. This character-driven, emotional, heartwarming, steamy slow-burn romance is absolute perfection. Fans of sports romance will simply adore this sports romance where both MCs are athletes. As always, Liese handles the difficult topics and representation in her books with grace and authenticity. Fans of Liese's work will not want to miss out on this standout novel.

I found this story to be utterly delightful! I loved Ziggy from the previous books in the series. She was such a powerful character in this read, really coming into her own. Sebastian, the hero was a little bit harder to wrap my brain around. I think it took a good portion of the book to really understand him and get the character development necessary to understand who he was as a person and why he fits so well with Ziggy. This book was an extremely slow burn, but it didn’t drag, because the chemistry was so healthily built on a strong friendship foundation. I loved that Seb let Ziggy be herself! He accepted her for exactly who she was. I swooned hard numerous times over the care and protective nature that Seb showed only to Zig.

I absolutely enjoyed the ending and thought it was the perfect way to wrap up the couple’s friends to lovers journey and get a solidly built HEA!

I had a little bit of an issue with some of the timeline jumps that took place. It was difficult at times to figure out how much time had passed, and to mentally fill in the gaps. But the timeline within the book was such a short duration, that it was easy to get back on track. This is something that I’m hoping is flushed out before it is published.

"Because I do want you to be safe with you. Your body. Your emotions. All of you. And, given what reckless of work I tend to be, it was important for him to know that I was committed to that."

Sebastian and Ziggy were perfection! As soon as I learned this would be a brother's best-friend romance, I could not have been more excited. Ziggy is the baby of the Bergman siblings so I knew I was going into this expecting significant character growth for Ziggy and her role in the family.

Safe to say, this book delivered on that and more. Both Ziggy and Sebastian feel stuck in their lives and feel out of place. Their friendship and then relationship pushes both of them to demand more - in their lives, from others, and from themselves. They both grew so much throughout the book and they truly understood each other. That understanding and that sense of belonging meant everything to them.

I say this with every Chloe Liese release but the way the characters love each other deeply is inspiring and truly some of the best romance that is being written. The relationships on the pages feel real and these characters are so bright and vivid. I continue to be amazed by this series and its book six now.

Also thank you to Chloe Liese for having an arc set up for similar lived experiences! It is really refreshing to read about characters that you can relate to and understand on a different level.

This book comes out on April 11th and it is a must-read! If you haven't started the series yet, now it is a good time so you are caught up for this release.

Ziggy wants to show the world the grown up, mature woman she's become, not the baby that her family and teammates see, so she comes up with the perfect plan to toughen up her image: Sebastian. Sebastian is her brother's best friend and a notorious bad-boy. His image has taken a hit lately, and he needs to soften up his image and play nice, so when Ziggy offers up a way for both of them to get what they need, he hesitantly says yes. The two fake a friendship, but it quickly becomes real as they reveal their true selves to each other. Sebastian's plan to ruin his bio-dad's legacy and thoroughly piss off his step father is now pushed to the side as he develops real feelings for Ziggy - but is he man enough to put in the work change what kind of man he is going forward?

I had such a fun time reading about Ziggy and Sebastian. Sebastian is the typical bad-boy with severe mommy and daddy issues who hides his pain in drinking, drugs, and sex who folds like a cheap lawn chair in the face of a hot woman who shows him affection and love. Both characters were totally lovable, although I found the Bergman clan somewhat irritating, and the story was a great time. All in all, I would highly recommend :)

I was thoroughly moved and enchanted by this book. Ziggy and Seb’s story is one of courage—of two people willing not only to see past the flaws of each other to love and accept them, but to see be okay with who they are themselves. This slow-burn romance couldn’t have been written any other way, because Seb and Ziggy have to grow and heal on their own before they have any chance at all at a future together, and how they grow!! The shift in both of them is seismic, with a lot of help from angry yoga and feeling safe with each other, and that transformation is beautiful. There are a billion layers of emotion; pain, anger, remorse, acceptance, bravery, selflessness, faith, and love; and as each layer is revealed it did all kinds of squishy things to my own heart, as it did theirs. As always, Chloe Liese has given us characters that struggle to be seen and heard and understood, bringing us a love story that feels real and complicated, passionate and all-encompassing. With each book in this series, my love for all of the Bergmans grows, but for now Ziggy and Sebastian are the couple that have completely upstaged the rest! There is a scene in a book store that is forever imprinted in my mind….so amazingly wonderful.

Returning to the Bergman household is like receiving a huge hug. This book was excellent. a fake friendship between bad kid Sebastian and Ziggy's brother Ren's best friend, the youngest Bergman sibling Ziggy. Because of Ziggy and Sebastian's incredible chemistry and friendship, If Only You is a very slow-burning that feels so warm. Sebastian was a classic example of a hero who believes he is unworthy of the heroine. Even though their friendship was developing gradually, it was enjoyable and filled with emotion. Sebastian discovers his voice as Ziggy begins to find hers.  The Bergman family is present of course and I just adore this family.
If you haven’t started this series I recommend that you do its good✨.

Another heartwarming Bergman series book!

This is another winner for me from Chloe Liese! If Only You is the sixth book from the Bergman Siblings series, which features Ziggy, the youngest Bergman sibling. She’s now a famous soccer player and all grown up. And yet, she’s taken for granted and treated as still a child by her own family members. Feeling stuck and frustrated, she leans on her brother’s best friend, Sebastian Gauthier, for help. Sebastian, a famous hockey player with a rather negative image, reluctantly goes along for good publicity. A win-win situation turns out to be a bit more than they bargained for.

This book, just like the previous books in this series, is beautifully and tenderly written and feels very inclusive and relatable. I love the aspect of this book on taking ownership of your personality and changes. Because people do change, and everyone should be given the opportunity to take up space and be heard.

I’ve always adored Ziggy in previous books, and this book just made me love her more. I love her strength and honesty, as well as her unbiasedness. Sebastian is just as endearing, and I adore his willingness to own up to his mistakes. Another thing I enjoyed about this book is the mature and open conversations between both main characters because it makes the slow burn and pining even more emotional. The Bergman family also appears in this book, and I’m so happy to read snippets of their lives once more. I especially adore conversations of both our main characters with Ren, my favorite Bergman. If only we all had a Ren in our lives!

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What an absolute gift! This series is very near and dear to my heart and every time I think one book is my favorite, Ms. Liese outdoes herself!

This book features autistic, queer, and celiac disease representation. It was done in such a tender way. I really appreciated the author's care.

Such a sweet, tender romance! It's not devoid of spice, but it is not the center of the story. Some readers might get dissuaded by this, but I truly implore those readers to actually immerse themselves in the story.

It is lovely, it is incredibly romantic and heartful. I honestly don't remember reading a friend-to-lovers romance as beautiful as this one! Their character arcs are spot on and so were the autistic struggles depictions. Seeing myself in romance books is so lovely #Representation Matters

I especially enjoyed Ziggy's growth and her sincerity in letting Seb do the work. No "rescuing" BS in this story, thank Gallifrey!

I have been recommending this book to anyone that will listen! The Bergmans are the family we all want to have and Ziggy and Seb are utter perfection!

I can't believe we are almost at the end of the road for the Bergman Family. I seriously cannot wait for Viggo's story. I will need to be content with re-reads until then.

Five glowing and tender stars for If Only You!

This book was fabulous and the exact thing we've come to expect from Chloe Liese and the Bergman Brothers/Sisters series. I think Ziggy's growth and storyline through the entire series has been one of the most nuanced and to see her come into her own as a WOMAN was really fabulous. It was great to see Ren and the LA Bergmans again, especially with the little updates we get about the other couples.

I loved the character of Seb and I appreciated the spin that was put on the "brother's best friend trope" - I don't know if I've ever seen a well-done fake friendship, instead of fake dating! I think we need more switchy/submissive men in spice scenes, so I appreciate that representation a lot.

I will say this is the sloooooowest of slow burns and I wish there was a bit more payoff in the spice we got, but I look forward to seeing how Ziggy and Seb will show up in Viggo's book.
