This was such a fun and sort of ridiculous book but you know what? I'm here for it. I really enjoyed the grumpy sunshine vibes of this book! Michael was so adorable and I loved how blunt and straight forward he was. And the way Bitsy vibed with him so well right off the bat really kept me reading the book.

I didn't expect the plot to be so long, especially because I just kept waiting for the dogs to be brought back and it just took forever. I know it was necessary for the story to have the little flashes to Jimmy and everything and eventually I did come to enjoy the little side plot, but I just kept kind of skimming to get to the Michael/Bitsy portions for the most part.

I loved hte little nerdy science things, especially when they would flirt with that context?!?! genuinely iconic.

Overall, I really enjoyed it but I would probably only recommend this to the reader's who want very specific vibes!

This was a delightful read. Two opposites attract when they get thrown together with a dog mixup. Their interaction is wonderful and they soon find out they can’t live without each other.

Wow! I am still reeling from how much I enjoyed this story. A Duke with a scientist heart meets a Diamond of the Season. The two may be polar opposites, but they have more in common than they realize. Loved the creativity of the character building, especially the not-so-mad scientist who is also a Duke and society's darling "Bitsy." Not to mention the great sideline story of the poodles!! Highly recommend this read.

This is a historical romance with some comedy included. Mixup with poodles, theft of poodles and a fun romance while trying to find poodles. I liked all the characters and the story was fun. I recommend reading this book for entertainment and romance.

It appears that Michael and Elizabeth should be totally incompatible, she being a young debutant and he being a serious scientist. Fate brings them together when their Poodle dogs are stolen, and they must join forces to hopefully get back their dogs.

This book was a delight for the slow-burn romance and for the original plot. The villain is truly self-involved and evil. Although he thinks himself righteous. The character development is terrific. Perhaps a regency Deb would not be allowed this much alone time with a man but after all he is a Duke and very much an eligible bachelor. I can highly recommend this book to all Regency fans.

Michael Bromley, the Duke of Woriton, is a man of science. He prefers to spend his valuable time with his experiments than partaking in Society’s frivolities. Michael reluctantly agrees to look after his aunt’s beloved poodle while she visits a friend. However, an incident at the park finds him with the wrong poodle. Michael never expected to spend time with Society’s current Diamond. Or galivanting around London in search of a dog thief. Can Michael tolerate Bitsy’s presence? Or will opposites attract?
Elizabeth ‘Bitsy’ Dockering is the youngest daughter of a viscount. She enjoys being Society’s Diamond of the Season. Bitsy hopes to find a husband, one who sparks both her heart and interest. However, many of her suitors dislike her ill-mannered pet poodle. Bitsy encounters Michael at the park when they inadvertently swap dogs. When their poodles are dog-napped, she and the duke partner up to find them. Michael is nothing like the swains in her social circle. Can Bitsy and Michael overcome their differences? Will they find the culprit behind the dog-napping?
Michael’s neurodivergence reminds me a little of Sheldon Cooper from ‘The Big Bang Theory’. They both have that frank, straightforwardness that others view as rude or madness. I like how Michael has no interest in following Society’s status quo. He finds his peers’ indulgences pointless and silly. This makes Michael an oddity among his social class. He cares little how they view him. What I adore the most about Michael is his willingness to help others despite his idiosyncrasies. His projects are more to help humankind than recognition and fame.
Bitsy is Michael’s complete opposite. She enjoys spending time with her friends and the entertainment Society has to offer. I adore how Bitsy started to see the man beneath Michael’s aloof and prickly exterior. She realizes there is more to him than what she and their peers believed. What I like the most about Bitsy is how she respects and admires Michael’s intellect. She may not understand his fascination with science; she just knows that is part of his individual charm.
EVERY DUKE HAS HIS DAY is a standalone, historical romance by Suzanne Enoch. I have been a fan of this author for quite a long time. I must admit that I am liking the new direction Enoch is taking with her stories. They have a different feel to them from her previous works. I especially enjoy the light-hearted vibe the story gave me and the humor. I could not help but giggle at some of the characters and poodles’ antics. I also liked the secondary romance in the background. It was an extra bonus!
