I had a crappy, and quite a stressful week. I was tired but ended up founding my cure in Michael Bromley, Duke of Woriton. This was so delightful . I loved Bitsy. And, honestly if this book worked for me on this particular week it ought to work for anybody. So loved it.

Every Duke Has His Day by Suzanne Enoch is a light and quirky romcom set in a historical time. I enjoyed both of the main characters and their banter. The dog switch up was a cute twist. I also enjoyed the little side romance. It was exactly what I was looking for when I read it.

Thank you to Suzanne Enoch and St Martins Press for the Advance Reader Copy. I enjoyed this comedic Regency romance featuring Michael, Duke Woritch, Bitsy (the heroine) and poodles named Lancelot and Galahad. The plot moved quickly, the characters were well-drawn and easy to root for, and the happy ending was satisfying.

This was a really cute, fun, clean and well written story. This was a new to me author, and I will definitely be checking out her other books.

I tried to read this one and just couldn’t get into it. The writing was very well done just neither of the main characters held my attention.

Thank you to NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn't perfect, but still was entertaining. I loved the characters and I definitely will read more of this author.

This is a great romantic comedy. When Bitsy and Michael's dogs get mixed up in the park hijinks ensure that make for an unputdownable read.

I really enjoyed this historical romance that was filled with a little sleuthing and some action.

Michael Blumley, Duke of Loriton, is more interested in locking himself away doing experiments than fitting into the ton. But when his aunt, Lady Mary Harris, enlists his help watching her well-behaved black poodle, Lancelot while she's away, his life takes an interesting turn. Elizabeth "Bitsy" Dockering, is the belle of the ton during her second season in London. Considered the "Diamond of the Season", Bitsy has a list of suitors. Unfortunately none of them can get close to her because of her loyal and protective black poodle, Galahad. Bitsy believes Galahad is a sweet dog, but to everyone else is a demon. When a chance meeting in the park, leads to Lancelot being mistaken for Galahad and kidnapped, Bitsy and Michael are forced to work together to get to the bottom of what is going on.

This book is a lot of fun because it does something different with historical romance. Instead of being confined to the typical a suitor must find a wife or a belle must find a husband plot, the romance comes from these two people trying to find their kidnapped dogs (don't worry, both dogs are never hurt!). It was a blast to read and I really enjoyed how Michael and Bitsy's love story unfold.

If you're into historical romance and want a different approach to the love story, definitely give this one a try.

* I should also mention that this is a closed-door romance, but I still loved it!*

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Arc received from the publisher; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Every Duke Has His Day is a charming and witty romance that will appeal to fans of all things Regency. The story is full of humor, heart, and adorable poodle antics. Enoch's characters are well-developed and relatable, and their journey to love is both heartwarming and entertaining. This book was a delightful romantic comedy, that not only blends wit, charm, and a touch of chaos, but I was laughing out loud while reading. This is the perfect escape for anyone who enjoys historical romances with a touch of humor.

Tropes:
-Historical Romance
-Opposites Attract
-Grumpy/Sunshine

A delightful Regency Romance with a little mystery thrown in re: a dognapping. There is some wit which makes the story more enjoyable.

Bitsy is being aggressively courted by Peter and it’s a great match on paper- except that her dog Galahad despises Peter. Peter develops a scheme to kidnap Galahad and remove any barriers to their union, not realizing that Bitsy’s dog Galahad was accidentally exchanged in the park with Lancelot, the dog that Michael is dog sitting for his aunt. Given that Lancelot was the dog who was actually taken, Bitsy and Michael team up to bring him home.

What I loved:
-the dogs!
-storyline with Jimmy
-cozy mystery feeling
-justice being served

This was a super cute and cozy read. Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s for the advanced reading copy.

Oh I absolutely loved this one, I ended up reading late, waking up early to read more and finished in a day. I loved Michael and Elizabeth/Bitsy, they complimented each other so well, I even loved the fun caper aspect of it even though the chapters with Jimmy and Sally were not my top ones. It had a very satisfying ending and would love to read more.

Dogs. Who doesn't like a good dog? Some people adore their dogs to the point where they would do anything for them. The story centers around a Duke and a young lady who each have a poodle. The Duke is watching his beloved aunt's poodle while she is out of town. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for him, he gets his aunt's poodle mixed up with that of a very pretty girl. The two poodles do look awfully alike, but their personalities are definitely not the same. This little mix up sends the Duke on an adventure that he never saw coming. He loves science and learning, but a new kind of love will be entering his life all due to two adorable poodles. It was a quick and fluffy read that I enjoyed. I look forward to seeing what the author does in the future.

This book was spectacular - Suzanne Enoch brought her customary banter to this opposites attract historical romance. As always, bonus points for adorable animal side characters (in canine form). It was such an interesting premise to have an 'undesirable' duke as a hero - this isn't something you see very often in historical romances, but I really enjoyed seeing Elizabeth realize there was more than meets the eye. I am not a classic movie enthusiast, but this book apparently has strong 'Bringing Up Baby' vibes, and now I must watch to get more of that fantastic banter and antics. Highly, highly recommend this book.

This book was so fun to read, I didn't think i would have enough time to finish it, but I did. I loved the dynamics between the characters, it all warps up in a nice bow.

This book wasn't for me. I like my romance with a small amount of mystery not the other way around. This book had a silly premise, two dogs being switched then kidnapped, and that is basically what the whole book is about. I'm just not that interested in dog mysteries.

An utterly charming retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The characters are lively and well-developed. The dogs make the book into a winner. And redemption is always heart-warming.

This book was enjoyable, but I felt that the plotline dragged on a bit, and for me the two main characters had friend dynamics rather than romantic dynamics. At the same time it seemed like their story arc was completed in terms of their goals and also left unfinished in terms of their relationship. I also felt like the age gap was very unnecessary, as the characterization of Bitsy and Michael would have still worked if they were closer in age; I actually think that Michael's character would have made more sense if he was younger. Other than that, I really enjoyed Sally and Jimmy's story and all of the different dogs that were part of the tale, and thought that the way Lord Peter was written was very clever.

I was expecting this to read like historical romance, but it felt more like Womens Fiction. Nothing inherently wrong with the writing or story, just not what I was looking for.
