Another great novel by Lisa Jewell. Exciting and and off beat subject. Twists and turns an enough intrigue to keep me reading all night. Thanks again Lisa Jewell!

This is hands down my new favorite Lisa Jewells book. Dark and twisty. Just the way I like em’. 🖤😍
I was absolutely not ready for that twist! It’s been a couple days since I’ve read this book and it’s still living rent free in my head. I cannot stop thinking about it. 🤯
My entire mood throughout reading the entire book: UNEASINESS 😵💫 You’re gonna see all the red flags as you move through each page but won’t be able to stop reading! Annnnnd that ending is going to leave you STARTLED. I can promise you that.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I just love Lisa Jewell. None of This Is True brings forth Jewell's strengths and shines a spotlight on them -- truly her best work to date! Alix and Josie connect, and though it's very clear to the reader some things are off, this book promises you will not have a clear picture until the very last page.

Excellent story! I LOVED Jewell's latest novel, None Of This Is True to bits! It was suspenseful, thrilling, and such a fun treat to read. I was hooked right from the start and found myself unable put the book down for anything. I had to keep reading to find out what really happened and who was telling the truth. It was such an exciting reading experience! I've loved all of Jewell's books, but this one is her best yet. Such a great novel!

Lisa Jewell never disappoints for a fast paced can't put down book. BUT, her latest, None of This is True is my very favorite one yet!! It is suspenseful, entertaining and will keep you guessing until the end. Absolutely loved from the start to the end. Highly recommend!
Thank you to net galley for the arc one exchange for an honest review.

I downloaded this last night and finished today. It was that good. By far, Lisa Jewel’s best book. I don’t know how she comes up with these suspenseful plots. This one is about two women whose lives intertwine because they found out they had the same birthday. Josie sits down with Alix to be part of Alix’s podcast, but the stories that are told are anything but true- or are they? You won’t know until the end, but enjoy the amazing ride.
Thank you NetGalley for a ARC.

I absolutely loved this novel! The unreliable character and only female perspectives were fantastic. I also loved the layout - Netflix paired with the podcast, moving back and forth between timelines. Would highly recommend this book! And that ending…. Perfection.

Excuse me, Ms. Jewell, are you okay? Because that was absolute bananas.
Let's start by saying that this is going to be everyone's favorite Lisa Jewell book.
Once I started this book, I literally could not put it down. The format was so binge-worthy too. It was told as a Netflix Documentary about a podcast about a relationship between two women who met one night while BOTH out celebrating their 45th birthday! A story within a story with podcast interviews, etc. I seriously hope that the audio version is a full-cast with podcast type sound effects!
Now onto the characters. 100% some of the most messed up an memorable characters ever. I will not be forgetting the details of this story anytime soon. My eyes were literally bulging out of their eye sockets like every other page, like I said, it's bananas. The twists just keep coming and the ending truly shocked me.
I feel like there is totally room for this story to be continued so I'd like to petition for a sequel!
Be warned, some of it was suuuuuper disturbing.
Thank you so much to Atria Books for the ARC. This book will be available on August 8th and I can't wait until everyone is talking about it!

This is the best book I’ve read all year! I know it’s Feb so that may not be saying much but it’s definitely brilliant. This was beyond twisty! It’s that nail biting feeling where you know in your gut that something isn’t right but not being able to put your finger on it. I had that feeling the entire book. Something is not right here!! But what is it!!! All. The. Way. To. The. End!
This kept me held in suspense on the edge of my seat and i just couldn’t put it down! My fav Lisa Jewell book yet!
I had to come back because I’m still thinking about this! The ending! Omg. It made me question everything. Gave me serious flashbacks to Verity. In what was really the truth. Who did what?? Who’s lying. Who’s telling the truth. So many questions. But like in a good way because i can’t stop thinking about it

Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday at her local pub, popular podcaster Alix Summers crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie, it turns out, is also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins.
A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix’s children’s school. Josie has been listening to Alix’s podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. She is, she tells Alix, on the cusp of great changes in her life.
WOW! This is one of the best Lisa Jewell books I’ve ever read. An absolute rollercoaster from start to finish. I could not put this book down. I really enjoyed the interview/documentary style format.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Talk about a super creepy read. Alix spent her time trying to be a good person and help out this complete stranger, Josie, and it unravels her whole life. I had sooooo many questions throughout this book while reading it. Thankfully they were all answered by the end. My mind was definitely spinning reading this one. So excited I was approved to get this ARC. Lisa Jewell never disappoints me!

All I can say, is bravo 👏🏻 bravo 👏🏻
I am a big @lisajewelluk fan, so when I saw she was publishing a new book, I could not WAIT to get my hands on it. This book was incredible! Honestly, my favorite Lisa Jewell book ever! I could not put this down, and that ending 🤯 I still don’t know who to believe!
I loved the mixed media in this as well, in the form of a Netflix documentary (which helloooo, Netflix doc obsessed over here) she did an incredible job describing the scene, I felt the documentary come to life on the page. I’m just in awe with everything about this!
I absolutely loved this book, and highly recommend you guys grabbing a copy when it’s released this August!
A huge thank you to @atriabooks via @netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 stars
Wow round of applause to Lisa Jewell for a well crafted thriller. Podcaster Alix Summers is out celebrating her 45th birthday at a local restaurant with friends and family where she meets Josie Fair. Josie is also celebrating her birthday with her husband Walter. Josie offers to tell Alix her story for a new podcast and becomes obsessed with her birthday twin.
So many twists and turns. Highly recommend.
I liked the podcast/Netflix series format.

Wow, a real page turner with the perfect title. During a birthday celebration, Ali’s and Josie meet over their shared birthdays. A relationship begins when Josie seeks to tell podcaster Alix her horrifying life story.
Sadly, by welcoming Josie into her home, Alix puts her family in jeopardy. The interesting presentation by the author was both timely and unusual. The pathology surrounding Josie and her family is unbelievable, but as a reader, I believed it! This is a nuanced and multilevel narrative of the underlying story.
Jewell is a gifted and compelling writer. I was enthralled by the story. I liked the way it was pulled together by the end. I know mystery lovers will be fascinated by the story of Alix and Josie.
Thank you Netgalley for this incredibly well written novel!

Thank you to NetGalley, Lisa Jewell & Atria Books for an arc of None of This is True in exchange for an honest review. This review is wholly my own & may not be reproduced.
If it has Lisa Jewell’s name on it, I’m reading it. Every.Single.Time.
Alix meets Josie, her birthday twin on their forty-fifth birthday. Alix is a popular podcaster who Josie later seeks out to suggest herself (Josie) as the subject of Alix’s podcast. Alix agrees even though Josie seems unsettling to her. Alix invites Josie into her life & home only for Josie to disappear. Alix discovers that Josie has been keeping deadly secrets and now the lives of Alix and her family threatened. Who exactly is Josie???
I’ll be honest, the synopsis didn’t fully snag me. It seemed a bit vague, but like I said before, if Lisa Jewell has her name on it, I don’t care, I’m reading it anyway.
It didn’t matter that I didn’t fully grasp the synopsis before diving in because Lisa worked her magic yet again! By the time I was finished, it all made perfect sense.
I was hooked from the first chapter. Shady characters – you don’t trust anyone, not even who you should be trusting. Deeply psychological thriller that was superb. I haven’t read all of Jewell’s novels yet, but I’ve read at least half and this may have been my favorite one so far.
There were so many twists & turns that will keep you guessing until the very end and the very end will leave you wondering how you didn’t figure it all out beforehand. Which is what I love! I love it when I can’t predict the ending ¼ of the way through the book. There’s no fun in that.
Lisa Jewell is a master at her craft. If you are one of the rare creatures on this planet who has not read anything by Jewell, this would be a fabulous read to start with, but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. None of This is True is set to release on July 20, 2023, and I suggest you RUN to get your hands on it!
Full 5/5 Stars - I would give more if I could!

Lisa Jewell is the queen of suspense. Her stories unfold in a way that not only keeps you engaged, but keeps you guessing right up until you’re faced with the jaw-dropping, epic conclusion.
I loved how this story incorporated both a Netflix series style documentary and a podcast! Those excerpts interspersed with the dual POVs of the two, dynamic female main characters make for a fast-paced plot I didn’t want to put down. It explores some heavy and extremely dark themes and through it all you’re left wondering what is true and what is false. The ending leaves it open for you to decide.
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

When podcaster Alix meets seamstress Josie when they are both celebrating their 45th birthdays at a local restaurant, she has no idea how her "birthday twin" will turn her life upside down. Not everything is as it seems and who is telling the truth - Josie, her daughter, her husband? I flew through this book in about three hours! Fast-paced, tightly-plotted, very original. This novel from author Lisa Jewell is another home run in the domestic thriller category. The podcast trope actually works very well in this book, as does the documentary set up. I hope Netflix has enough sense to turn this into a movie or limited series!

Thank you to NetGalley for a digital ARC.
Wow! I loved this. Lisa Jewell does not disappoint. The format was different, with some scenes as a netflix documentary, and I loved it! The characterization left nothing to be lacking. The plot was smart. Definite page turner, read in two days. In the end I was left asking, wait what?! WHAT WAS THE TRUTH? Just so good. Brava!

Lisa Jewell does not disappoint! I will read all her books. This one was SO entertaining and thrilling. The premise was fresh and exciting. I loved the characters and how their stories become woven together in a psychologically intriguing way!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. Five stars all the way!

Alix and Josie are “birthday twins” - born on the exact same day in the exact same hospital, however living very different lives. Josie’s about to make a change in her life, and Alix reluctantly agrees to do her next feminist podcast series on it. Seems innocent enough, right? But nobody saw what was coming next.
WOAH. Definitely one of my favorites from Lisa Jewell. This twisty mystery had me captivated from the start. The women were both flawed and dark, with an exterior persona that imperfectly hides the darkness underneath. I absolutely loved them and their calculated dynamic.
The story was partly told in the dual perspectives of our female leads, but also in the interview style for the podcast-turned-Netflix series, so you get a lot of perspectives which I really enjoyed. Especially as some interviews are told in the present with the knowledge of what has happened, and the continued hints that there’s more to come left me thinking about this book all day, eager for work to end and the evening to settle so I could dive back in. This book STUCK with me, and probably will continue to for a while.
And that ending…really makes me wonder if there could be a sequel?? “SOME OF THIS IS TRUE”? Maybe "ALL OF THIS IS FALSE"? Just sayin’, I’d be here for it.
Keep this book on your radar mystery lovers, because it is going to be a hot one this summer! HUGE thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for this ARC!
