Sorry to say but this was not for me. I did not care for the illustrations and the plot was a little bit meh.
I love Art Baltazar so I was super excited about this one. Unfortunately the whole thing just didn't work for me.
This graphic novel does a great job of world building for what's likely to be a fun adventure series for children.
Yahgz is amazing! It was my first time reading any of Art Baltazar’s comics. Yahgz is full of delightful colors, hilarious character designs and fun times! It has me searching for more of Art’s comics.
This is the origin of a heroic duo as told by their mentor in a camp story sort of way. These flashbacks get total bonkers and random in the most energetic and funny ways possible. It’s silly, entertaining and highly enjoyable. I definitely recommend Yahgz to anyone that likes to laugh.
The extraordinary colorful illustrations make this book outstanding in its visual appeal. However, the story itself, while adventurous and cute, seems a bit repetitive with varying evil creatures attacking the peaceful world of the Crays and the Yahgeez and then being fought by the brave Craybi Craynobi. I'm sure children will love these colorful tales of adventure, friendship and loyalty.
Thank you, Papercutz, for the advance reading copy.
This graphic novel/comic is such a fun one to read! You will be able to convince your kid to cut down screen time if you introduce them this book!
This is the story of the Craynobies going through adventures and tasks to save the city of Yahgz and their people. Let’s see how they try their best and what they do when they face the big villain: the giant green gorilla!
The illustrations stand out and the art sequences are fun-easy to the eyes.
Go for it.
