This was a fun installment in the Teen Titans series.
It was nice to see the relationship between the adopted brothers, both the good and the bad sides of it.

This one didn't have much of a plot. It focuses a lot on the Titans needing to train to improve their powers. Otherwise they're just running from Slade.

I did enjoy the brotherly relationship between Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne. I thought Damian's issue with Dick was reasonable and matched his usual abrasive personality. Honestly with how nice Damian is to other characters, he felt a little out of character.

There is an excessive amount of teenage romance. Given the author, I don't think it'll be cut back. I guess this may help my main DC ship in the next one though. Starfire is the next book, and we already have Robin! <3<3<3

I still mainly read this because of the art and my prior history with the characters. The storyline isn't strongest, but that's okay. Again, looking forward to the next!

I absolutely squealed when I got the chance to review this one! I loved the Raven and Beast Boy one and to get to read about the Robins? Dick and Damien? Please!

Suffice it to say this was just as fantastic as the other was. If not more so just because of the development the characters have had up to this point.

While on the run from H.I.V.E, the kids have become very close, trusting each other and developing romantic relationships. And I adored it. There’s a focus on them learning to control their powers and it’s in an environment where they feel safe with the adult there. Also love to see that.

This however, is more focused on Damien and his not so great relationship with Dick. Because Dick was adopted by Bruce and Damien takes it as he’s been replaced. So he’s very distrusting of him, almost hates him even though all Dick wants is a relationship with his younger brother.

We watch as the kids learn more about how to use their powers and the way Damien and Dick start to mesh. Of course it’s through competition. And seeing Damien open up to someone and talk about his feelings was beautiful. I was so happy to see it.

I think the characters have been and continue to be handled very well. And the art is absolutely beautiful. I adore it. So much so that I followed the artist on Instagram and suggest others do too if they like this style.

I absolute will recommend this to longtime DC readers and those just getting into it. It gets a 5 out of 5 for me.

I received the eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to them and the publisher.

This has been my favorite of Garcia and Picolo's Teen Titans books since Raven! The artwork was beautiful as always and I really loved the complicated brother dynamic between the two protagonists. I look forward to recommending this title to the kids at my branch!

I'm not a big super hero/comic fan, but there are two exceptions: Guardians of the Galaxy and Teen Titans.

I've been a fan of this series since Teen Titans: Raven, and I love that each installment gets us closer and closer to the complete team (do I see Starfire in our future?!). This one actually seemed to be more about Damian Wayne than Robin, so I hope that in future books we get to know Dick Grayson a little bit better. (Although I guess they were both Robin at some point? So maybe the title is ambiguous?)

I feel like this one didn't really move the storyline along much--the kids are mostly hiding out and training while Slade hunts for them--but it looks like they are taking off for an adventure in LA when the next book rolls around.

While I enjoyed this title, I was hoping this would act more as a standalone like the first two in this series. I am excited to see what happens next for all these characters, but I really would have liked Damian to get his own independent story, without starting right after the events of Beast Boy Loves Raven. That being said this is a fun series and I am looking forward to reading more.

The next book in the series that began with Raven, Robin follows the action immediately after Beast Boy Loves Raven, with the teens safely away from HIVE but still on the run. They make their way to Georgia and meet up with Raven and Max's mother, who helps them work on their powers. Meanwhile, Dick Grayson, worried about Damien, joins the teens and helps Damien work on his issues. Slade Wilson is after the teens again, though, as well as chasing another powered kid, Kori. As usual for the series, the art is evocative and the plot is sweet. The love and trust between the characters stands out, and I appreciated how some adults are helpful and trustworthy, which is unusual in teen comics. Can't wait for the next one, and the introduction of Starfire. The teen pairing off is getting a bit irritating, however - not every character needs a hetero love interest, though Max and Damien's dynamic is more casual than Gar and Rachel's bond.

ARC provided by NetGalley.
I’ve been sold by this series since the first book - and it keeps impressing me every issue!! Kano Garcia has created such a wonderful story and for someone who grew up with Teen Titans, it makes my heart sooooo happy especially knowing that this newer generation gets to grow up with them as well! Gabriel Picolo depicts the characters so gorgeously and I am absolutely obsessed with this series. I love that they hint to our newest additions in each issue and cannot wait until the gang, crew, family is all together :D 100% will be purchasing this title and the rest of the series for my library.
Well done once again! Teen titans go!

All I can say is… I want more. I am enjoying these stories, but I think I would enjoy it more if I read each graphic novel in one sitting. I know these are pieces of the entire storyline and we are getting to know each character’s backstory, I just want more. This will definitely be purchased for my library shelves and my students will love it as much as the other books in the series. Robin is a perfect addition to this motley crew.

Thank you DC Entertainment and Netgalley for the advance copy.

What a ride, yet another satisfying and thrilling installment of this series.

I wasn't sure how I was going ot take to Damian Wayne (he is my least favorite) as he came into the pciture with Gar and Raven and Max, but between him and Dick Grayson, the group gained seriousness and determination in one. This book felt a smidge filler-y, but I adored it all the same. Not filler-y, but full of growth. Starfire is clearly next and that I look forward to, now that Grayson is in the picture.

The pacing was fast, but the moment that needed to be slow were. The illustrations and art are done with intent and wonder.

This is what seems like a retcon of the origins of the Teen Titans group, who I have a very little experience with. We have Dick Grayson, the current Robin and adopted some of Bruce Wayne, we have an apparent illegitimate child of Bruce Wayne (Damian), we have a Raven, someone that seems to have the same powers as Beast Boy (names Gar here), and someone named Maxine who has powers to raise the dead. Prior to this book, Raven and Gar were being held in a laboratory that ran brutal experimental tests on them, and they just got free. This book is Dick catching up to the other 4 because he's worried about his adoptive brother, and then the 5 teens trying to figure out how to hide from H.I.V.E. who was the brain's behind the lab testing.

This is the 4th in a series, and I do feel like I should've started from the beginning. I might go back to the beginning, because the overarching storyline is interesting. But it didn't feel like much of anything happened in this. The title seems like it's supposed to be a character study, but at the same time, it feels like more should have happened, and there's too many loose ends.

I am curious, and want to read more, though, so mission accomplished.

Since I got an ARC, the coloring wasn't complete, so I can't be completely sure. However, what I saw of the art was really great. I look forward to seeing this in its entirety.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book. Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity!

Teen Titans Robin is another installment in the Teen Titans series. This installment explores the complex relationship between brothers Damien and Dick while the rest of the Titans crew regroups. The team take a breather before experimenting and training. If this group is going to escape H.I.V.E. they need to see what their talents can do.

I’ve enjoyed this series so far - it feels like an accessible introduction to the Teen Titans characters and their stories for a newer generation. The wonderful art by Gabriel Picolo continues to be a highlight for me, and I find the overall character design and development by both Picolo and Garcia to be delightful.

Although I was excited to see the dynamic between Dick and Damian as the “Robins” and how that relationship developed throughout the graphic novel, the rest of the story fell a little flat for me because it very much felt like a bridge between one story and another. There were several training montages, and scenes that were fine but didn’t really progress the story or lead to anything exciting. There were however some sweet moments between the cast of characters, especially upon recognizing that they’re a little found family of sorts.

Readers who have been enjoying this series will find some satisfaction from this installment, and will certainly be looking forward to the introduction of Starfire in the next one, but the story does not standalone by any means.

Teen Titans: Robin is the latest installment of this series. Raven Roth, Garfield Logan, Maxine Navarro, and Damian Wayne are on the run and hiding from Slade from HIVE. This book introduced us to a new character and revisted ones already introduced. It was a quick read and not a lot of development of the characters. It was more a less a summary of what we already knew and some training to see their powers developing. I am hoping that the next installment will dive a bit deeper. The illustrations were excellent and complimented the text.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book is #4 in the series and follows Damian, Raven, Garfield, and Maxine as they run from Slade and H.I.V.E. They escape being found immediately by meeting up with Maxine's mom at a safe location. With her and eventually Dick Grayson's help the four train their powers/skills and figure out their next moves.

I read the first volume in this series, but hadn't realized there were two other books before this one as well. Still, the plot was easy to follow and I enjoyed the read nonetheless. I enjoy the character's personalities and seeing some of my DC favorites in a new story/light.

I love Kami Garcia's Teen Titans series and this is another great addition. This time, the central characters are Damian Wayne and Dick Grayson. But, the rest of the amazing cast is there too. Since last installment the team has managed to break out of the lab and away from Slade. Now, they need to prepare for when he eventually finds them. This comic definitely was more character-centric and focused on group dynamics, especially between Damian and Dick. I expect the next installment, which seems to be introducing another exciting character, will have more action. I only wish these books came out closer together, but comics are hard work. Would recommend to DC Comic fans, especially those who like Teen Titans. Also, worth sharing with readers who want to dip into the DC world and want a story that does not need a ton of background knowledge.

Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo are such amazing storytellers in this graphic novel series. I have enjoyed all of them that I have read and look forward to upcoming ones as well.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I understand that this book is a part of a series, and thus fits into the larger narrative, but I was hoping that it would take a closer, and longer, look at Damian, seeing as he is the Robin in the book's title. That said, I did enjoy this installment of the story. The focus, as the first few have been, focuses a lot on Gar and Raven's relationship. I loved seeing all of them work on their powers, but wished that Dick and Damian's training together was more fleshed out, rather than just competition. I love Dick and Damian, and wish this story focuses a bit more on the two of them than it did.

Thanks to NetGalley and DC Comics for the advance review copy of this title.

I’ve been a big fan of this series the first book and have loved the way each new character has been introduced and integrated into the story. I think Robin and Damien’s dynamic is really interesting and I’m excited to see how it evolves in the future (I hope there are going to be more books announced after this ones release!) and how he helps the team grow and develop their powers.

Gabriel Picolo’s art is what drew me to this series in the first place because it’s stunning and this graphic novel did not disappoint, and neither did Kami Garcia’s storytelling. I think this is my favorite installment of the Teen Titans graphic novels so far and cant wait to see who comes in next.

An interesting edition to the series. Definitely more action-packed than the previous ones. I think young readers will enjoy the colorful illustrations, I appreciated how there wasn't a ton on the page.
