This book is great. I personally loved the goth humor. Some of the jokes are a bit cringey (Think dad jokes but goth!). I even shared a couple of the jokes with one of my preteen sons and we were able to enjoy some laugh together. My main complaint is that I wish the book was a bit longer.

As always thanks again to the publisher and netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn't really for me. The gothic "dad jokes" were...not very funny at all, unfortunately. cute cover and nice idea, though. thanks for the copy

Oh My Goth promised a fun, hilarious, somewhat spooky compilation of darkly humorous jokes fit for the goth heart inside of all of us, and I couldn't have been more excited to pick it up and give it a read when I saw it on NetGalley. Some of these jokes had me practically rolling in my future grave I was laughing so hard, and some of them had me rolling my eyes like any good, horribly executed dad joke should, and all around, it was a fun time. It was a faster read than I expected and had fewer jokes than I wish I could have tossed out to my nephews and niece to make them laugh, but all in all, despite there being a few that didn't hit the mark as well for me, it was a strong compilation of jokes, and I've collected at least a few that I can pull out to make friends and family smile going forward. Plus the little illustrations throughout really added something to a few of the jokes and were so well done!

You can't help but giggle, especially because it never truly was a phase. Loved this book so much. Goth Dad-like Jokes? I am here for this.

Thanks for allowing me to read this book.
This book was not for me and i did not enjoy it.
That being said. just because i did not enjoy it, does not mean that others wont enjoy it.
I did like the cover art.
Thanks for the opportunity.

Funny & hits close to home. I really like it I've read it a few times already. Definitely will look into others by this author.

This is a nice little collection of dark jokes, one-liners that will make your laugh or snicker, depending on your mood when you are reading it. It put a smile on my face. There were a few jokes that I couldn'r resist. A perfect gift for any goth-type of friend or fellow reader.

Oh My Goth: Jokes for When You Feel Dead Inside by Andrew Shaffer falls short in delivering the morbidly funny humor it promises. The jokes lack cleverness and wit, leaving readers wanting more. Disappointing execution overall.

This was a quick, fun read. I'm sure I'll get to use a few of these jokes at parties. So far I've tested them out on my family with mixed results. My full review appears on Weekend Notes.

This was just silly and wasn't even an except of the whole book. I would have read the whole book and given my opinion. The one good joke in it is that you're not a real goth until you've sacked Rome. I feel like this was a missed opportunity.

I never understood why most Goth wear such a sulking bad-mood attitude - we had so much fun and just the best time. So of course this collection of jokes was a must-read for me, and most entries not only made me laugh shamelessly, but also feel a little nostalgic and 'yeah, I know what you mean'. Of course, there were some jokes that didn't work for me or which I didn't understand. So all in all this was a enjoyable read, but it was much too short. Oh, and there are some really nice pictures in it.

This is the type of book that people buy as a gag gift. It's a short collection of old "dad" jokes with some artwork. If you like your humor in the groan category rather than the LOL category, this one's for you

Fellow human beings, this was cute. It’s a compilation of goth-y jokes the author picked up all over the interwebs. It was short, funny (I did giggle a few times), and perfect to put on your coffee table and pick up to recite a joke. The title alone is intriguing and even the most seasoned person can pick this up and share a chuckle with another person dressed all in black. People coming together is what jokes are all about.

My only gripe - it’s too short. I was able to finish this very quickly and thought, surely there must be more jokes poking fun of goths out there. (And don’t call me Shirley).

Overall, this is a must read for a quick pick-me-up, because where are we without humor? And especially humor picking at our never-ending doom and gloom attitudes we have at times.

I didn't know what to expect from this book but it was definitely interesting! I rarely read poetry books or humorous books so this was a nice change of pace. Overall, I enjoyed it! I would recommend this book to customers as a gag present for sure. I know several friends who would find this book funny and love it as a gift.

A quick read that has a good sense of humor, is a bit dark but is overall a fun little book. Only knowing of Shaffer and his dry sense of humor a little bit before picking this book up, this was definitely another look into his wicked wit and I would love more in this style of writing.

3.5 stars.

This was a fun book to pick up and randomly read a few pages. A brief burst of humor with a dose of sarcasm and darkness.

"You know it's hot out when goths start wearing purple." This direct quote is one of the many sad attempts to create humor in Oh My Goth: Jokes for When You Feel Dead Inside by Andrew Shaffer. The so-called jokes aren't really funny. The witticisms aren't all that witty. I feel as though I should apologize to the Hot Topic clerks mentioned in the synopsis because even they deserve better than bland goth-dad jokes.

"Some people are such treasures that you just want to bury them." That's precisely what I'd like to do with this book, unfortunately, I can't because I received a digital review copy. I may not be able to bury it, but I can delete it and try to forget I ever read it.

"Q: Why won’t Trent Reznor get into Heaven?
A: Jesus hates nine-inch nails."

Oh My Goth by Andrew Shaffer is compilation of jokes for the Wednesday Addams in your life.

The chance that you've already heard most of these jokes is strong so be prepared to chuckle, snort, or roll your eyes like your wise cracking uncle just thought he made the best joke but you've already heard it a hundred times.

While these jokes are corny as hell, the novelty of it is amazing and the illustrations are a great touch. This is a quick read coming in at 96 pages, perfect for when you need to let a little light into your black heart.

Obviously if you like jokes I would recommend this one but I also think it'd make a great gift for that little black cloud in your life--A perfect coffin table book, you might say.

Thanks to Netgalley, the author & publisher for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, I expected it to have more content and more original ideas.
Still, this is a fun, quick read. Aimed towards the darkly inclined but could still be read and enjoyed by most readers.
