I could not put this one down! You are not going to want to miss out on this read! I was able to get through it in a day. Definitely one to throw in the bag for your summer vacation. The twists and turns kept me captivated.

I’ve never read anything by Wendy Heard so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. The overall premise is not new but the details did seem really fresh to me. The female friendship portrayed is great. It kept my attention even if there is at least one situation that strains credulity. Or maybe not in our online times. Glad to have been given the opportunity to find a great new to me author. I’ll definitely be seeking out her other work.

Sexy and twisted. This book leaves you questioning everything you read. This will be a summer hit and you won’t want to miss this one!

I've not read any Wendy Heard but loved this story a lot! Two great female leads, summer and Leo. Despite their occupation as grifters, they are tremendously resourceful! Set on a fictitious island near Catalina (I live in Southern California so could resonate with this!), with a sketchy billionaire and his lifestyle, this was a rapid page turner! Recommend this one!

I wasn’t sure what kind of book this was going to turn out to be, but what an enjoyable twisty ride it was! I loved the camaraderie between the two main characters. I enjoyed getting to know them, and even though they lived life in a not so honest way, I couldn’t help but root for them. Halfway through the book I started to expect there’s be some twists and turns but the ending was a jaw dropper! Quite the thriller!

Wow, this book was a wild ride! It's the perfect bingeable read that will have you flying through the pages. This story tells the story of two best friends who are con artists. Things quickly go wrong when one of them goes missing. It is thrilling, suspenseful and I loved the powerful friendship between Summer and Leo. Great read!

This is a very action-packed story of 2 scheming women whose sisterhood and bond to each other help them come out heroines in the end. It’s a storyline that I have never read before. Although admittedly, I have not read a lot of books yet compared to other bookstagrammers. I thought this would turn out shallow but it wasn’t. Their backstories, especially Summer’s was one I have not heard of before and was so frustrating for her. Despite their hurdles, I am glad they made it both alive, winning and still somehow devious - true to their character!

Great, fast paced book. Loved how it centered on the friendship between Leo and Summer and how, due to their unfortunate circumstances, they had to rely on their "hidden talents" to survive.
Summer and Leo live on the streets, grifting from the rich, when Leo meets a billionaire named Michael. She feels she finally found her golden goose, her way out and into the good life but that quickly turns to terror when she disappears onto a private island. Summer I determined to find her best friend,who she thinks of as her sister, and turns over every leaf looking for her trail.

Brilliant book from Wendy Heard and I look forward to reading more. Thanks to Netgalley and Random House Ballantine for the ARC.

I absolutely loved this book!! Fast read. Kept me engaged the entire time. Loved the relationship between the two friends. Enjoyed learning about all their hidden talents and how they’ve used them to survive in life. Great read!!

This was a real page-turner. It’s the story of Leo and Summer, two grifters who are living life how they want to. When Leo gets connected with a billionaire, things go south.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Summer is concerned when her best friend goes missing. The police think she is ok, but Summer is not sure. This book kept me guessing.

Oh this was fun! We follow drifters Summer and Leo, who solely rely on scamming and pick pocketing to survive. When Leo lands big wig billionaire, Michael, they think the doors this will open will secure their future. Until they realize something about Michael isn’t right and they’re fighting for survival harder than ever before.

Full of wild twists and turns, I had So much fun reading this. Some of it needs suspended belief while reading, but that’s okay because it added to the craziness and made it that much more enjoyable.

This is a good one. Completely drawn in after the very first sentence. Scams, scams gone wrong, secluded island, female friendship, and an unreliable billionaire. A quick, suspenseful read. Short chapters.

I loved, loved, LOVED the friendship between Leo and Summer. They are truly two main characters you will be rooting for from beginning to end.

I really only liked one narrator which made the book a bit of a slog. I wish the trend of alternating narration and flashbacks would die out. It doesn’t always add to the story! I wanted to know more about Leo, Summer was kind of boring.

I just love a book involving the dark world of celebrities! Wendy Heard created a thrilling, anxiety-inducing private island setting, matched with our rough around the edges MCs, and a man you're not sure you should love or hate. I devoured this book in two days, captured by by the thrill of "will she rescue her friend in time?!" If you enjoy a sexy thriller, this is the one!

I started this late yesterday after finishing off another really good book. And I was up all night reading this.. Friendship, grifting, and one heck of a mystery. Go in blind and buckle up. You won't look up until you're finished. Thank You to to NetGalley and the publisher for this excellent ARC.

This book is the perfect beach read. Fast paced and compelling this action packed story about two best friend con artists.
This story is a tiny bit predictable, but the pace is fast and the writing is tight and compelling. When two beautiful women get tangled up with rich men who think they control everything, the reader is thrust into a pulse pounding world of fierce female friendship and the lengths some women will go to take care of their own.
I enjoyed the story a lot and could not put this book down.

It’s been a while since a thriller had me flipping pages as quickly as this one did. Talk about suspenseful!

Summer grew up living on the road with her mother who taught her to pickpocket. Leo ran away from home after a family tragedy and meets Summer years later. They form a sisterhood and live off of other peoples pockets.

Leo sets her sights on a billionaire and follows him to his private island but never returns. Summer goes looking for her and gets an invite to the private island herself where she goes through a suspenseful series of events looking for Leo, even though nobody on the island will admit she was ever there.

Oh the secrets this billionaire has on his private island.
