Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for providing this ARC
I loved this book. This is a well-written and enjoyable book with diverse characters. It is a cute and fun read. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mickey and Diego in the story, and I would love to read more about both of them.
Need a feel-good grumpy/sunshine book for the summer? It's this book.😊
I loved this book! It caught my attention from the 1st chapter and I was so excited to be sucked into this story. I appreciate a lead who is curvier and gets love too! This Grumpy-Sunshine was done so well in my opinion because Mickey was juuuuuust enough sunshine to not be annoying and Diego was juuuuuuust enough grumpy that he wasn't too much of an asshole. He had his moments though. I will say I wanted a little bit more of a conflict between Mickey and Diego and the conflict we got wasn't giving what it was supposed to give. The build up and tension between the 2 was so good. I also need to say, Diego was such an interesting character. Mickey was too but I found myself wanting Diego's background. I want to know about his Tia's and the family gatherings they had. So Charish, if you write that, LET ME KNOW!
I would read an entire collection of books with these characters.
I want to thank NetGalley, the publisher and Charish Reid for the eARC for my honest review!

What a fun opposites-attract romance! I love that trope so much and this book did it justice! These characters were so fun to read about and the banter and chemistry was wonderful. I had a good time reading this!

This is a delightful little rom com that is lower on angst than I expected, given some of the themes. I loved that the heroine was a curvy black woman and that the cast of characters were truly diverse.
I devoured this story! I loved how respectful of Diego’s deceased wife the story was. Often in a book about a widower it feels like there’s a ghost preventing the couple from getting together, like one party cannot let go or move on, but that was never the case. Diego has better control over his emotions than it seemed like he believed, he was never not open or honest about how he felt about Mickey.
I did feel that this couple moved incredibly fast, the entire romance before the epilogue taking place in just a few weeks. Their conflict wasn’t much of anything, there wasn’t really anything that prevented them from being together just clashing power imbalances. I’d love to read more of these two or of anyone else in the bar.

From the start to the very end, I loved this book. It is so refreshing to see a normal sized woman be the heroine of the book and I loved the byplay between the characters.
