I see a professional coach and it's done wonders for my career, one of the areas I've worked on is building greater resilience. This book is full of helpful practical tools to support building personal resilience but also resilience within a team. Its applicable to any company that wants to enhance their teams and nurture their culture. This book supports the idea of getting out of silos and working together whilst understanding our own strengths but also those of our colleagues. It didn't blow me away but still a good read!
*The Resilience Factor* by Ryan Hartwig, Lonce B. Crump Jr., and Warren Bird is an insightful and practical guide for leaders in Christian organizations seeking to build resilient teams. The book draws on extensive research and real-life examples, offering valuable tools such as reflection questions, diagnostic exercises, and team activities. It effectively demonstrates how resilience—especially in challenging times—sets great teams apart.
However, for first-year Bible college students, the book could benefit from a more simplified approach. Some sections are research-heavy and might overwhelm younger readers just starting out in leadership. Additionally, a stronger integration of biblical principles and more practical examples from youth ministry or student teams would make it more relatable for this audience.
Overall, *The Resilience Factor* is an excellent resource for developing team strength, but may require some adaptation to be fully effective for younger, less experienced readers.
