Now that summer is here and she get to stay with her grandparents in Tokyo with her sisters and she can’t wait... the only problem is that before going she is visited by the same mysterious woman in a fox mask with a wolf who is telling her she has to be warned about a fortune..... and now when a family heirloom is broken, thus releasing a evil samurai god who wants revenge its up to Tessa and the neighborhood kid Jin Uehara to work together along with a nine-tailed fox to stop the samurai! This was a pretty fun middle grade story perfect for readers who enjoy a book about adventure and quests. It’s great for fans of the Zachary Zing series, mixing mythology, action, and friendship!

Filled with enchanting folklore, Abe crafts a story that once again proves she is a master of Gibli-esque tales. Fans of Abe previous Eva Evergreen books will adore this new series as well. Highly recommended.
