Romance readers: prepare to binge read everything BK Borison has written because she is about to become your new favorite author! I fell head over heels for Beckett and Evie who are just the absolute cutest couple ever. I am normally not a huge fan of celebrity/influencer romances, but this book is the exception to every rule. This soft, beautiful, tenderly written novel tells the story of a one-night stand that comes back to haunt when Evie's job as a travel/small business influencer takes her to Inglewild, where her Maine fling works as head farmer. Beckett is a big, gruff man who has the softest heart in the world. Evie is a bright and sunny woman who is lost right now, and she returns to Inglewild to feel grounded. At its heart, this book is about comfort and new beginnings and love. An amazing book that I cannot recommend enough!!

Evelyn & Beckett… let me tell you. They are my FAV. I love me a good small town romance that has grumpy sunshine and ya know forced proximity and all that. Aaaand a second chance romance at that. This book was delightful!!!!

B.K. Borison has officially become one of my favorite authors in recent years and I was so excited to read Beck and Evie's story.

In the Weeds was everything I'd hoped for and more. Beckett might just be my favorite male protagonist ever written. He's a total cinnamon roll and genuinely kind, and his relationship with his family, especially his sisters, was the sweetest. And my god - his devotion to Evie, sigh. Evelyn is trying to 'find her happy,' and even though she was a bit stubborn to admit it, it doesn't take too long before she realizes her happy starts and ends with Beckett.

I loved watching Beckett and Evie fall in love and I loved catching up with Luka and Stella. In the Weeds was perfect and I cannot wait to revisit the wonderful world Borison created in the Lovelight series.

A super cute follow up to Lovelight. I looove Beckett so much and his and Evelyn's relationship is adorable. I love reading the books set in this small town. A super easy series to recommend to any rom com lover.

This might be my new fave series. What a cute little town and a perfect romance. Can’t wait for the next one!

Upfront, this book is #2 in B.K. Borison’s Lovelight series, and while I tried to get a copy of Book #1 from my library, I wasn’t able. That means I likely missed out on a lot of the warm and fuzzy, “I-know-them!” vibes I would have enjoyed otherwise.

There was much to like about this book. I love when a strong-yet vulnerable woman falls for a strong-yet vulnerable man. I liked the setting of a little urban, a little rural. I liked that neurodivergence was seen in a main character, vs in a quirky secondary character. I REALLY liked the end’s grand gesture.

Really, the only thing I didn’t love include the use of miscommunication (and assumptions) as a plot device. I want to shake people and tell them to read more Brene Brown.

All in all, a solid 7/10.

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for Book #1.

I read Lovelight farms and fell in love with it so I was very excited to read the next book in the series and it did not disappoint!

The romance in this book had me swooning, with the simple intimacy between the characters making it easy to really root for them.

Beckett was an absolute sweetheart of a character and it was really great to see more of him and his story in this book, including his family.

As always, the small town and found family aspects of this story have my heart and really rounded out the book in a meaningful way.

I will definitely be recommending this to anyone looking for a really sweet romance book with a touch of angst!
