I am a huge fan of the books in this series, and love it when a new book is released, the books allow younger readers to find out more about some of the most famous, and influential people that have been around.

The book is well written, easy to read and my daughter read it with me and we talked about Vanessa and her achievements so far and what she is doing to raise awareness of climate change and the affect that this is having, particularly on Africa and her home country of Uganda where she has seen the effects first hand.

The illustrations are great and bring her story to life, I hadn’t heard of her I will be honest and I did read up on her after.  The fact that she was cut out of the photo that was shared is awful and I am glad that she has used this to drive the cause forward.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended and another fabulous addition to this series

A warrior for global warming! This is so encouraging. We all know this is not an easy fight. Vanessa has been campaigning regarding climate change since she came across this topic in school. The heartbreaking part was when her photo got cropped when she represented Africa in the summit held in 2020. Ever since she has been campaigning with a new zeal and is representing the entire continent!

Such an inspiration. The book is so short as the other books in this series but it gives the right impact,
Love the illustrations and the presentation.

Thank you, Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, for the advance reading copy.

“You didn’t just erase a photo. You erased a continent”. I was in shock at what happened to Vanessa when all she was trying to do was bring awareness to a serious problem in our world. In a world where people think climate change is fake news, this story was very well written and shows how one person can make an impact. We still have a long way to go when it comes to climate changes and ways to help but this book was written so children can understand and hopefully want to see and make a change.
