Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Justin M. Kiska
When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.
The past and present are both brought to bear as this mystery is exposed and solved. The different time frames are really well presented amd it is not at all confusing as the author takes us to and fro. The lead characters are great fun to get to know and the general pacing of the book really keeps you focused.
I loved the book. It is a well-written mystery novel. It is well-paced, and there is not a dull moment in it. The plot has been thoroughly thought through, and the book keeps the reader enticed right till the end. The story narrative keeps switching between the past and the present, however, it isn’t confusing. I, actually loved the constant change in narration.
I am partial towards Tommy Mason as a favorite character. Readers will enjoy reading about Ben Winters and Tommy Mason,
A perfect recommendation for mystery and thriller lovers.
I received this book from NetgGalley for an honest review.
I was intrigued by the title and did not realize it there were were other books prior. Although I generally do not like historical fiction I found this one was ok.
