Knight of the Jades Heart. This is my first time reading from this author and all I can say is, thank GOD for another awesome writer. One who I can add to my go to author list. I will say it again. I love it when a writer gives me a story that reads like a movie in my mind.
My imagination was running wild with all the excitement about two characters who from the beginning, has you wondering how in the world these two are supposed to have a relationship. Especially when the two refuse to believe that the other exist. Thanks to Georgina’s father. He has found a way for his daughter to marry a person of nobility. Georgina wanted none of it.
Her dream and passion is for working along side her dear father to help make his company bigger than he could ever imagine. Edward only wants Georgina for one thing and Georgina said that she was not going down easily. Here comes the fantastic fun that ensues with Georgina, Edward and some help from their true friends. From their first interaction our lovely couple had me laughing. I mean, I know sometimes that I forget to be polite, but the man could have offered to take Georgina and Aunt Augusta home or find them an umbrella.
I pretty much giggled or laughed a little out loud through the whole book. I was so pleased to kick back, have a little drink and simply enjoy a romantic book. A book about two people who are trying so hard to one up each other or throw competitions to keep from getting married. The story somewhat reads like a romantic adventure set with some interesting rules to play by. Georgina wants her knight and shining armor and Edward who will do anything to please her.
At the same time Edward works so hard to gift his family back everything that he remembers as a child. Didn’t I say that Edward was a crazy, insane romantic? You should know me by now. I have to say that my favorite character is Charles. His I don’t care what anyone thinks about me, relaxed and playful attitude I thought was just the right medicine that this story needed.
Charles added that extra humor that shakes up our main characters life for a few moments. The story reads so real. There are many moments that the story reads true to form. Which is fabulous by the way. Our two main characters provide some good time entertainment. For instance the first Renaissance parade. There is no-way-in-the-hell that I would wait out in the rain for four hours for a parade to start. And not only that, but for some uppity nob who gives a rats tail about you as they ride on by you with their big horse as they hold their umbrella. Be steal my heart Edward is so much the gentleman and wild lover in and out of the bedroom. I must say though the love scenes could be just a little longer and Edwards dirty talk can be more erotic.
Add some juiciness to it. I’m going to be honest here, alright?! Give me more sweaty skin to skin body slapping. Let’s get wild. Bring it home daddy kind of rendition.
If your characters have loose lip language, then the same can be added to playtime in the bedroom. That’s all I’m saying. Anyway. I loved the book and enjoyed myself immensely. I give this book two snaps and a, “Charley boy, you look all alone over there in that corner. Let’s go show these uptight people how to have some real fun.”
Until next time my fellow readers. Read on! I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is a first time read for me by this author and I very much enjoyed the story. Georgiana couldn't be more different than her intended, Lord Edward. She is swept up in the latest Gothic craze. She's excited about the Eglinton Tournament that is coming up and looking forward to being surrounded by knights and exciting jousting. Edward in comparison to her seems boring, as he is not interested in any of that nonsense. He is too busy restoring his estate after his father squandered all the money. But he realizes he must do something to earn Georgiana's love and show her he is her knight, but minus the shining armor.
This was a delightfully charming read with wonderful characters and I had a great time reading it. The story was well-written and flowed smoothly and the plot was interesting and engaging. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more by this author.

This was a good book. The first I've read of Margaux Thorn.
He's only marring her for her money but once they get to know one another they soon realize how much the other mean.
Great story, can't wait to read the next.

I absolutly loved this book. Miss Georgiana was a heroine right up my alley who loved all things historical, or so she thought. Lord Edward was her perfect match in every way. I just loved how the characters interacted and pushed each other's buttons making them all to real (we know we all do it). This was a very fun read with just the right amount of adventure, laughter, and mystery.

Love or Money
She wants nothing to do with him. He is not chivalrous, and he is only marrying her for her dowry. He intends to use her money to mine for coprolites, of all things. That is how it all starts, but what happens when Georgina gets to know Edward? What happens when he captures her heart? She is doing everything she can to stop the marriage, but her heart has other ideas. How does Edward capture Georgina’s heart, and how does she go from being a source of money to the love of his life? This is my first story by this author. I enjoyed this entertaining book and look forward to reading more.

Nothing like a snicker and a laugh when it comes to romance. A most unlikely pair are to be married, but Georgiana isn't so sure. She doesn't even like him and he's not her knight in shining armor. Lord Edward, Marquess of Marlborough, is the laugh of the season. He needs Georgiana's dowry for his business venture of mining fossilized dung. He also needs to pay off his father's debts and rebuild his estates. Edward is very much attracted to Georgiana and wants to be her knight, but not wearing armor. He just needs to figure out how to convince her. Nobody said falling in love was easy. My first read by this author and looking forward to reading more!

Jewels, Titles, Heroic Knights or Not:
Dramatic beginning of this chaotic love story that is filled with too much angst from Georgiana for my taste. It did affect my rating for the book.
It was and interesting story with a lot of background information and many difficult situations they both needed to overcome.
The intimate scenes were well written, and they made the story worth staying with it. The ending was traumatic, some sad moments.
I almost gave up halfway through because I wasn't feeling much joy in reading all of the constant angst that was portrayed.
I am glad I stuck with it because the last third of the book was much better when Edward and Georgiana finally saw the reality and discovered how much they were meant to be together.
Some wonderful heartfelt confessions and a happy ending.

Lover of the Gothic craze sweeping the nation, Miss Georgiana Spence only has one thing on her mind this summer, the Eglinton tournament. Three full days of knights and ladies, dazzling jousting and succulent feasts, the medieval era will come back to life in Scotland, and not even the fact that her obscenely rich father is trying to sell her off for a title can ruin it for her. Because Georgina’s intended, Lord Edward, Marquis of Marlborough, is anything but chivalrous. The marquis is taciturn and serious and myopic about restoring his estate to its former glory since his father squandered the family fortune. He's making sacrifices like marrying a rich merchant’s daughter who clearly loathes him and has no qualms about shuffling her feet to the altar. With time running out for Edward, he decides to take matters into his own hand and get creative for Georgiana’s love. A little poetry and a dash of gallantry never hurt anyone.
This is the first book I’ve read by the author & it was a well written charming read. I loved Edward who was determined to regain his family's fortune & also to buy back everything his father sold. I liked Georgiana but she held out for a bit too long as she’s already fallen for Edward. I did loved their verbal banter & the chemistry between just got hotter & hotter I would have liked an epilogue as things were left up in the air but maybe things will be resolved in future books
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Miss Georgiana Spence is the eldest child and only daughter of a very wealthy, social climbing button manufacturer. As such all the impoverished titled bachelors are vying for her hand. There is nothing she can say or do to change her father's mind now he has decided who it will be.
Lord Edward, Marquis of Malborough has set his sights on gaining back all his father gambled away. He has a lot of people depending on him. He must be the opposite of his father and concentrate only on getting the wealth he needs.
This historical romance has lots of really funny moments and two very stubborn and determined characters. They both have quite narrow opinions about what they want. They both get their dreams shattered when everything is turned upside-down.
Great fun.

If you're in the mood for a swoon-worthy romance novel, look no further than "Knight of the Jaded Heart" by Margaux Thorne! I was completely swept away by this book, from the beautiful prose to the unforgettable characters.
What struck me most about this book was the emotional depth that Thorne brought to the story. Lila and Logan are both complex and flawed, with past traumas that they must confront in order to move forward in their relationship. Watching them navigate their feelings for each other, and their own personal demons, was both heart-wrenching and inspiring.
But don't worry, there's plenty of steamy romance to keep you turning the pages! Thorne has a real talent for writing love scenes that are both passionate and deeply emotional. You'll find yourself rooting for Lila and Logan to find their happily ever after.
What I loved most about "Knight of the Jaded Heart," though, was the way it explored the themes of redemption and healing. Both Lila and Logan have been through a lot, and their journey towards healing and self-discovery is one that will resonate with anyone who has ever faced adversity. Thorne handles these difficult subjects with sensitivity and compassion, and her characters are all the more relatable for it.
Overall, "Knight of the Jaded Heart" is a beautifully written and emotionally resonant romance novel that I can't recommend enough. If you're a fan of complex characters, steamy love scenes, and stories about healing and redemption, you won't want to miss this one!

I liked this one! I really loved Edward as a character, he was an overall nice guy. He just seemed sweet, and like someone who was actually dateable. I do wish we'd gotten a bit more resolution at the end though! This is a series, so I expect future books to address the Title situation, but I want my answers now! Ignoring that, I really liked this one and I'd recommend it!

Miss Georgiana Spence is determined to marry for love and to be swept away by a man, who will be her knight. This desire is fuelled by her love of the Gothic craze, the Eglinton tournament, which will be filled with three full days of knights and ladies, dazzling jousting and succulent feasts. She is also determined that she will have no part in her father’s plan to marry her off for a title. Marriage to the Marquis of Marlborough, Lord Edward, is not something she yearns for. She finds him too serious and focused solely on his own business. Edward cannot understand her fascination with such an event, which seems a waste of money, of which he has little. Yet, he soon realises that if he is to gain Georgiana’s love, he must try to convince her that he is the perfect knight for her.
After the first few chapters where the couple barely speak to each other, I found myself thoroughly immersed in this story. Edward tries desperately to win over Georgiana but seems to gain little traction. With a dual POV, this books shows the inner turmoil faced by Edward and Georgiana, as they begin to spend time together. It is evident to the reader that these are two people who are destined to be together, but it was fascinating to see how this not going to be a simple process. Edward needed to understand how he had to show Georgiana his true nature, which was evident in his love for his sisters, his concern for his tenants and his selflessness to others. In doing so, Georgiana could then see how they could have a future together, one in which she was valued for more than her dowry. A wonderful story that I am sure to reread and I look forward to more in this series.
