As a sequel this brought so much to light on things that happened in the first book. I enjoyed it so much more then book 1 (Take What You Can). We got to see more into the characters. AND witness growth!
I will definitely be recommending this to my HS readers!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read and review.
after reading the first book and not having a super great experience with it, i didn't really want to get into this one so i didn't really like it either. especially being in a reading slump like i currently am.
This book was the perfect sequel to take what you can. I loved seeing Paige and Fredrick in their new relationship. Garvin has an incredible ability to transport you into her stories and bring her characters to life. This book was full of twists and turns that kept me on my toes and turning pages. Paige and Fredrick were such amazing characters and I loved seeing their growth individually as well as as a couple. overall this book was just so cute and such a fun read.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and author for the copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this one even more than the first. It’s a good palate cleanser to my normal reads.
Yay. This was a fun second book in this series. I was hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed and Thankfully I am not. I liked it as much as I liked the first one maybe even a little bit more. There is everything in this book you need to be entertained. And I think the name Fredrick is so cute.
I was so happy to read this one, as I really enjoyed Take What You Can and I think the sequel was my favourite, although I did really enjoy the first one also! The characters was moving so fast and really enjoyed the character development throughout.
Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.
Unfortunately, I found this one a slow read. I could not relate. Maybe because of my agae. This seems like its more geared to YA.
I don't want to discourage anyone from reading this book. Give it a try. But this just wasn't for me.
Overall, it was the perfect summer reading, that I enjoyed so much. Vibes of this book were light, sunny and cute, and it gifted me sweet emotions while reading. It is a sequel to Take What You Can. “She wants to be with Fredrick…” and omg, he was amazing, adorable and he is absolutely one of me fav book bf. I definitely didn't want this book to end. I definitely want to buy a physical copy of the book for my bookshelves so that I can re-read it later and get the same wonderful emotions again
This book takes you on an emotional roller-coaster ride! It gave me all the feels. I laughed. I cried. I fell in love with another pirate. This book has action and romance and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s the perfect sequel to “Take What You Can” and I can’t think of a better ending to Paige and Fredrick’s story. The ending is perfection. If you have a weakness for pirates like me then you must read this book. If you have not read “Take What You Can” then you need to read it so you can fall in love with pirates and read this amazing sequel for the perfect conclusion to the story. Both books are perfect beach reads!
Story is fast paced, light with a fun adventure. Characters are fun to get to know, and have great growth from the beginning to end. The plot was very addicting, and could not stop reading.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this book!
Fredrick & Paige will live forever in my heart. One of my favorite book couples. The perfect sequel. Again, I did not want this book to end. This book kept me on my toes, made me swoon, and gave me the biggest smile on my face. I didn’t even feel like I was reading, I felt like I was watching a movie.
A perfect sequel to a perfect book. The experience I had reading these two books was fantastic, I was positively surprised by the whole development of the characters, with the romance, it's wonderful.
Thanks a lot to the Publisher and NetGalley for this eARC. I will provide a review as soon as possible. I can't wait to read this sequel.
This second book go this series had me applauding and shedding happy tears!
Give Nothing Back was an epic ending to a beautiful story of two young teenagers who are in love and want nothing more than to show the world they are one!
I really enjoyed Heather’s debut novel, Take What You Can, but I loved this sequel sooo much better! Just like the first book, I couldn’t put this one down and read it in less than a day. This sequel far exceeded my expectations!
Summer is over and Paige is starting her senior year of high school. It’s so odd to go back to her “normal” life after her eventful summer with Fredrick and the pirates. She finds herself struggling to fit those two parts of her life together.
This story is full of drama and action. The character development is incredible. I feel like the pirates are my best friends (except Dan and Luke 🤢) & I can’t get enough of Paige and Fredrick. I hate that it’s over, but it was honestly the perfect ending to an amazing series. But I’d love to get a spin-off book about one of the pirates!
I rated this book 5/5 stars. If you liked the first book, you’ll LOVE this one!
Please check trigger warnings. ♡
Thanks to NetGalley and Tuskan Publishing for the e-book to read and review.
Rating: 4,5 stars ⭐️
This is the sequel to the first book Take What You Can and I was so invested in the story! The writing style was really good and I would recommend it if you like young adult books!
I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Thank you to Heather Garvin, the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with this arc. All opinions are my own.
The book was okay, it is definitely meant for YA. I know I would have absolutely loved it in my younger days, but it's too young for me now.
I’ve previously read a book by the author and loved it. So when i saw that this series was available on NetGalley i just had to request it. This is the sequel to Take What You Can. I loved the chemistry between the two characters and i was glad i got to read this one.
You should read the first book for this one to make sense.
Give nothing back is the sequel to take what you can. It is not recommended to read this book without having read the first book.
The characters showed a lot of growth. The book is hard to put down as it is full of adventure, drama, friendship and betrayal. The story is fast paced and made a great sequel to a good debut novel.
The cover and blurb drew me in and gave me hopeful expectations for this sequel… and boy did this book meet them! Loved the chemistry and development of the relationship from the first book!
