I am left with so many questions. This book is on the shorter side and seems like a prequel to the covens daughter series. I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley.

Thom James is a famous rockstar who uses sex as a way to distract himself from reality. Megan O’Neil is an English professor and paranormal investigator who is addicted to sex. These two meet for a one night stand that changes their perspectives on sex and relationships.

This was a cute little story and I cannot wait to read the next. It didn’t catch my attention as some other stories do so I took a star away from that. Secondly, I took a star away at some of the lack of world building and details.

Although this is said to be a paranormal romance I do feel that it should be labeled as just a romance as the paranormal normal was barely there. It was more focused on Thom and Megan, two broken souls who will end up healing each other. They fall really fast for each other. So more romance than paranormal. Spice was high right at the beginning but faded out in the rest of the book.

I was not really a fan of this book. I did not understand this. Now part of this, could be me because I have not read the other books that are in this series but I did not fully understand what this was or the different significance of some of the characters were

It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.
