Thoroughly Seduced. My fellow readers. This was a splendid story that I enjoyed reading. Not only did I love the romance that was brewing between Ten and Birdie, but it was the persistence of who could dislike the other the most.
Let me know how far that goes you two. The humor level is at a standard level that keeps the conversations lively among the characters. The different characters and their personalities are certainly interesting, particularly Aunty Eddy and Princess Charlotte. These two help Birdie’s life spin in so many circles. Are they for the better?
We shall see. The entertainment is found mostly with Birdie and her duties of hunting thieves who are stealing mares from the English. There my readers is where the you know what really hits the fan. I absolutely loved the book. The Scottish dialect was very interesting.
Birdie was truly perfect and Ten is a gentleman among dishonorable men. I give this book two snaps and a twist. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on! #ThoroughlySeduced #NetGalley #ChantryDawes
This is the fourth book of the series, and I have to say each one keeps captivating me more than the last. It can be read as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading the prior books as well. The story is well-written and pulled me in from the very start. Birdie is a free-spirited young woman, full of life and energy. She knows she must marry, but she wishes to have a grand adventure before she does, and boy does she get one! Horses are being stolen from the crown and the Queen asks for Birdie's help in finding the thief. Ten Adair, Earl of Fairfax, seems to always be around when she is searching for clues. She does not like him, and is suspicious of him. But he also lights a fire within her. Then there is Freddy, her childhood friend who she adores. One is the traitor stealing the horses and the other is stealing her heart.
The story is full of drama, mystery, humor, and, romance and it was such a delight to read. The characters were well-developed and instantly grew on me and I enjoyed following their journey. Another enchanting addition to a brilliant series! Looking forward to the next one!

Historical Romance with Mystery, Intrigue, and Suspense
Someone is stealing horses and smuggling them to France. Birdie is determined to rescue the horses and stop the smugglers—a very dangerous endeavor, indeed. Two men, one of them is a childhood friend, and the other is one who seems to be stealing her heart, might be involved. Are they betraying their country? Can Birdie uncover the truth? Her heart and her life are at risk.
As Birdie goes on her dangerous adventure, she finds herself falling in love with a man she claims to dislike. Ten is a handsome devil, but is he also a traitor? Her heart hopes he is not. This story is a delight. I loved it and would recommend it to those who like historical romance with mystery, intrigue, suspense, horses, and laugh-out-loud humor.
Laugh out loud as Birdie Darley takes on the handsome Ten Adair, the Earl of Fairfax, searching for stolen horses. The Queen wants Birdie to find the traitor stealing horses to ship to France. Birdie is suspicious of Ten and doesn't know whether to trust him or not. Why does he turn up when she is sneaking around for clues? Or is the traitor Freddie, her childhood friend? Trying to keep up with the antics of two old ladies, looking out for Ten's sister Octavia, searching for a traitor and saving Ten...wait he also saved her, it gets pretty busy for Birdie. Even though they keep hilarious banter you know it's not true. Kisses and hugs with lots of laughter.

2.5 stars
Definitely a No from me. I notice it's the last in the series and I read it as a standalone. There are quite a few things that irritated, annoyed or confused me. The hero/heroine word games was one of them, Ten Adair is an earl the youngest in his family. So assuming his father brought him a commision I would think he's now supposed to be early 20s. He has 8 elder sisters all spinsters. This confused me as I would think, assuming no mutiple births, the eldest daughter could have been nearly 30. His parents were originally around and as girls make their debuts from 17+ I would have thought the mother could have got some of them hitched....perhaps this is the next series? Birdie is a horse made girl who is continually leading her conversation with oaths unless she's doing the och the no...scottish thing. I found her elderly aunt and her friend very irritatiing rather than twee and cute, At one point Birdie has a crop with a hidden knife. Is that a stilletto as I thought crops were quite slender. She also removed her side saddle to ride bare back in an effort to save the hero. Riding bare back in the fashions of the regency? Great way to loose your reputation and show not only your stocking but propably your thighs. Talking about fashions when did they wear Stomachers in regency time, Wiki tells me: stomachers were in and out of fashion through the 17th and 18th centuries. I thought it was all empire line floaty muslin dresses in the 19th century when Napolean was being sent to Elba.
I'll be avoiding this author in future.

I hadn't read the other books in this series but didn't find this mattered. An interesting read with excitement, danger, intrigue and fun banter. It feature's horses heavily which I loved and had some great quirky secondary character's who almost stole the show. The only minus is you do had to suspend believe slightly as I do feel that numerous character's would have been given the cut direct for their behaviour. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If Miss Birdie Darley must leave her family's wonderful horse farm for a London season ,she's determined to get an adventure out of it. She definitely gets one.
Ten Adair, the Earl of Fairfax has more than got his hands full with eight sisters. The last thing he needs is another female getting in his way.
This historical romance has got lots of excitement and so many giggles. All the characters are fabulous, and not ordinary in the slightest.
Our Outstanding Old ladies are Often Obviously Outrageous. (Ha Ha. Sorry, i just had to do that. You will understand if you read the book ). But seriously the elderly aunt and her friend do almost steal the show. They have in previous books in the series as well. The storyline is believable, and upsetting when you realise what the horses in that era, and similar had to go through.
The heroine is fiercely independent and more than capable, if a little too impulsive. It's a good thing our hero has a good sense of humour.
Really great fun.
Miss Birdie Darley desires a grand adventure before marrying, but she gets more than even her dramatic imagination could have wished for! Several balls where she keeps running into a handsome, charming but terribly annoying man, an illicit meeting in a dark and deserted mews, and skating on the Thames at the Frost Fair all lead to the grandest adventure for Birdie Darley. Freddie Rockingham, the Duke of Trenton who she has always dreamed of marrying or The other Ten Adair, the Earl of Fairfax she has always disliked. She has only to discover which of the two is stealing horses from the crown and which one has stolen her heart.
The fourth book in the series & easily read on its own. Another charming read, I really liked Birdie who was a delight. I loved the verbal banter between her & Ten but it was Great Aunt Eggy who stole the book, I adore her. An interesting read with danger, intrigue, horses, humour & of course love but who will capture Birdie’s heart & who's the thief?
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Miss Birdie Darley is determined to uncover what has been happening to race horses that have been disappearing from England. Tasked by Queen Charlotte to determine their whereabouts, she crosses paths with Ten Adair, the Earl of Fairfax. Uncertain of the traitor’s identity, she finds herself immersed in plenty of drama and danger, as she gets closer to uncovering the puzzle. Again, the character of her great Aunt Eggy and the Empress add another dimension to this story. A sweet read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Treason, Horses, Romance, Humor:
Exciting beginning where we find Birdie is riding her beloved Mo in a brutal horse race.
Racing is much better than attending the ball where she is to hopefully dance the night away with Freddie a man she has favored for many years. Disappointment sets in again, but she is asked to dance with Ton the man she disfavors.
The plot thickens when the queen asks Birdie a favor and the story takes us into a whirlwind romance that is filled with much danger, excitement, horses, multiple betrothal requests, and lots of to die for kisses.
This story is filled with a lot of humor, reuniting with family from previous books, silly word games, and a terrible ice-skating jaunt.
Honorable mention has to go to the great Aunt Eggy and the Empress. What a hoot they are.
The parts with the horses Mo and Pride were beautifully written and so heartfelt. You gotta love a story with animals.
I do hope this series will continue maybe with the 8 sisters and Birdie finding each of them a husband.
Clean Story: Thrilling kissing only.
This is the 4th book of Aldbey Park series, it can be read as stand alone. My first in this series and this book is good. Miss Birdie Darley go through adventure! She has quest from Queen Charlotte, the queen need her to be carefull. Beside that there is Ten Adair, Earl of Fairfax somehow they alway crosspath and Birdy really dont like him. The adventure make both of them closer.

Another amazing romance in the Aldbey Park Series series! It is fast paced, funny, steamy, and well written with intrigue, angst, ups and downs, likeable characters, and instant chemistry. Definitely recommended!.
A sweet and funny story . She loves horses and when she learns that horses had been disappearing she is looking after it because the Queen of England asked her to do it . While she is investigates there are two men that are her two main suspects . Who is the traitor the man she thought she wanted to marry or the man who's kisses melt her ? I loved all the bickering between Birdie and Ten . Aunt Eggy and the Empress were amazing . I am hoping to read the next book very soon .
