This graphic novel was one of the sweetest graphic novels I’ve ever read! I loved the main character and how shy and loving she was. I rarely encounter a character that isn’t strong headed and stubborn. It was refreshing to read about a character who is so tender and just wanting to be loved for who they are. It was fun to follow a character that wasn’t in high school and instead was navigating college. I also enjoyed that them being in college didn’t mean they existed in a vacuum who they were before informed who they came to be. The narrative gives a lot of backstory into our two main character, which helps with understanding how they interact with each other as they fall in love. Also, the art style was super cute! It was a beautiful representation of a sapphic relationship and I can’t wait to read something else by this author.
This book was super sweet! Just a really cute romance that I'm sure many teens would enjoy. I wish, though, that I'd gotten more depth with the characters, which I know is hard with the constraints of a standalone graphic novel, but it's hard for me to form an attachment to a story when I can consume the whole thing from beginning to end in less than an hour. We get a lot of PG's backstory, but not much of Momo's. I want to know what events have shaped her into what she's like in the book!
This was a lovely story that really pulled me in with the very cute art style and the endearing characters. I loved the mix of experienced but emotionally hurt with inexperienced and friendly amongst the main two characters. This story had me smiling and giggling the whole time. I wish this story would have been around when I was younger, but I happy that it exists now for younger queer readers!!
4/5 stars
Actually the cutest most wholesome story. I finished this in about an hour and was left wanting more!! Maybe I'm not a graphic novel person but I wanted more character depth and story because I just loved them so much :))
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I just couldn't seem to get into this one. Too YA for my taste and I just couldn't finish it. The cover is adorable however.
Colorful artwork, an intimate and heart-warming romance, and accurate portrayal of college life. This book would be a great addition to any collection and I would recommend for older teens, young adults, and adults.
This was so adorable! Everything about this is cutie, and it's so funny too. Such a wholesome and heartwarming read.
This book was definitely as super cute as the cover of it. I have to say you need to go write this now it is so cute and adorable that you’re going to get a toothache.
A massive thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!! I really enjoyed this book; definitely something I will tell my friends about!
Oh my heart! This new adult/YA+ graphic novel was just the cutest thing ever! Such a great romance with sapphic representation. Preorder for 10/17 release.
This was such a sweet book. I loved PG and Momo. For a shorter graphic novel, the character development was amazing. I would read a ton more books in this series
Thank you penguin teen for providing me the arc.
This by far is the cutest thing I ever read. I do have a problem with one part where Mono gives up something she loves to go spend time with PG. I remember giving things up for a relationship and I ended up losing myself. After the relationship ended finding myself again was the biggest pain. BUT Momo is the type to put others before herself and she should be more selfish as PG put it. Outside of that one instance I really loved seeing two BIPOC characters fall in love especially since I am too gay AF. Oh lastly I hate the miscommunication troupe but it was done so well in this. I highly suggest you pre order the book and pick it up. It is really cute.
I received an e-galley of If You'll Have Me by Eunnie from Penguin Young Readers Group via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was a really cute graphic novel about Momo who finds herself drawn to PG, who seems to have a reputation as a flirt and player. As the two develop a friendship and feelings develop, the two are tested as they are challenged by the past and insecurities. I really enjoyed this story and the art and characters were so cute.
Momo Gardner has always been eager to help, especially when it comes to girls she has a crush on. She may be too trusting sometimes but she tries to see the best in people. When she meets PG, she has an instant crush. The problem is that PG is known as being a player, like other girls who have used Momo in the past. When they keep running into each other, they decide to start hanging out and develop a friendship. However, Momo’s friends have to warn her that PG has a bad reputation and she may just be using Momo like girls in the past. Momo has to decide if she’s willing to risk her heart for PG.
This was an adorable graphic novel. Momo was sweet, innocent, and relatable. She could be a little naive when it came to falling for the wrong kind of girl, but that added to her charm. Though PG had a reputation as being a player, there was more to her than that. They made a cute couple, and I was rooting for them the whole time!
If You’ll Have Me is a cute graphic novel romance!
Thank you Penguin Teen Canada for providing a copy of this book!

When I first started this book I was… not impressed. The first quarter of the book felt incredibly cringey and cliched. It felt like something I would have read on Episode in middle school. The characters felt flat and unrealistic, the narration was not working for me. But slowly, as the book wore on, Momo started to gain some depth to her character and feel more like a real person and less like a caricature. I enjoyed watching as she and PG got to know each other and fall for each other. The last 1/3 of the book was strong, sweet, and fun to read. By the end, I enjoyed the book—which surprised me. I’m glad I pushed through and finished it, and I do recommend it over all.
If You’ll Have Me stars the sweet introverted Momo and cool but mysterious PG who end up meeting and have an unlikely friendship that turns into… well you know *wink*. This was just a bundle of sweetness and cuteness. Its light on the drama and really focuses on the budding relationship of these two. I really related to PG and Momo, as i am a person who takes people at face value, and is very trusting while also being fiercely loyal and easy to fall in love with people! Also, Eunnie’s art is fantastic and super colorful! I cannot wait to have a finished final copy of this! If you are looking for a quick cozy palette cleanser i would highly recommend this!
This graphic novel is for anyone who loves light cozy sapphic romances!
This book was absolutely ADORABLE!! It was a very cute, lighthearted and fluffy read. The art was AMAZING, I lovedddd the author’s style. I loved PG and Momo so much and just reading about their growth and love for each other. Their character designs were the cutest.
I think my favourite thing was how diverse this graphic novel was and what great lesbian/sapphic representation was showcased in this. Every page, even the background characters was just filled with diversity which every book/graphic novel should have and I just felt so seen and very happy. This was a joy to read.
Thank you to Penguin Young Reader Group, Penguin Teen, and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This story is so cute. I really loved the art work of the graphic novel and will definitely be buying this book. The main character's arc was my favorite. I like how she really begin to grow into her own and not just let people walk over her. I definitely want to read more stories from this author.
Momo, an introvert with no relationship experience and is maybe too willing to give someone her heart. PG, a larger than life rumour exuding a charisma that apparently makes women fall for her charm and bed – or at least that’s what people think.
When Momo is immediately struck with a crush for PG at first sight, she is stuck between the what others think about PG and what she thinks about herself. Eunnie beautifully illustrates how a newly sprouted friendship in college can bloom into something more, as well as how lack of communication and assumptions can impact what you experienced in the past or what you want in the present.
The stunning illustrations have a softly saturated colour palette, potentially suggesting the gradual vibrancy of Momo and PG’s relationship. Momo’s caramel warm tones complement the sleek cool tones of PG’s opposing wardrobe like the soothing press of a warm hand against cool skin, they yearn for closeness without fully knowing the outline of each other’s hearts and pasts with people they liked before – which makes such a sweet sapphic story more captivating.
Highly recommend this graphic novel if you’re looking seeking a sapphic love celebrating women and girls of color with charming illustrations that rival the tooth-rotting sweetness of a candy store.
