this was the perfect "pick me up", something short and sweet that gives you all the feels. a swoony sapphic romance that also birelf discusses some important topics. those being, mainly, toxic relationships and proper communication in romantic/sexual relationships.
i really appreciated how these were brought up for each of our main characters. however, i do wish we had a bit more closure with momo's hesitations for romantic relationships, given the information we learn. but i do appreciate that we were able to have that with pg, especially since we're not really in their head. we don't know what she's thinking. maybe. hopefully though. that means there might be more releases in the future following pg and momo then?
truly though, the perfect graphic novel for those who love heartstopper.
this was super cute!!! i rarely ever see poc x poc relationships, especially not queer ones, so this was so nice. the art style is also adorable, and there were some frames that just made me melt. i felt like momo and pg were fleshed out pretty well considering how short this book felt, and i liked how their relationship conflict wasn't contrived (aka their issues were set up well throughout the book). highly recommend if you want to read a beautiful graphic novel with a sweet sapphic romance!
thank you penguinteen for an arc of this book, all opinions are my own.
If You'll Have Me is a heartwarming contemporary young adult queer romance between two characters, Momo and PG. This book features an opposites attract romance, full of all of the adorable awkwardness that young love can entail. The artwork is beautifully illustrated and includes a soft and soothing color palette. A strong read-alike for fans of Heartstopper.
Thank you to Penguin Teen for an advanced reader copy!
Momo is a young woman navigating college and relationships. She's a shy wallflower who has never dated before. She meets PG, a fellow student, who is known to spend time with women on campus. I absolutely loved this book, I truly can't wait to have a physical copy in hand. Eunnie is a wonderful artist and writer, I can't believe this is a debut. This heartwarming, love story is now easily one of my favorites. 10/10 recommend.
I loved the story, the world building and meeting the different characters. I felt completely immersed in the story and couldn't stop reading it.

Thank you so much Penguin Teen and NetGalley for the ARC! This is a graphic novel, which I never really read except for Heartstopper, but I thought this sounded really cute and wanted to check it out! Like Heartstopper, this is a graphic novel with queer rep, and it’s very bingeable/a quick read as well! I read this in one sitting and enjoyed it! This is set in college, which I liked, and it touched on some important themes. Momo, the MC, was very relatable, and even with it being a short graphic novel, I enjoyed getting to know her! Overall, I enjoyed this and had a great time reading it! I recommend!
I had no idea that this graphic novel was by the artist of the iconic sapphic Mitski art, but I am not surprised because I loved both. This is so cute and gay and just ugh!! The art was beautiful and you can tell that Eunnie really cares for their characters. If you want a quick sapphic read for anxious girlies, READ THIS BOOK! LIKE NOW!!
Thank you Penguin Teen and netgalley for sending me an e-arc for review.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sadjfh aksdjfhksadf
I loved this book so much. The art, the humor, the friendships, the relationships. SO CUTE.
OH MY GOD! This was so freaking cute! I loved everything about this! The storyline, the characters, the art style. So good. The art style is so cute and bubbly. Love the colors and Momo’s eyes being two different colors was a cute touch. I also liked that when there were flashbacks the back ground changed to black to indicate the shift to memory. I don’t know how to express how cute and sweet this book was besides AHHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! So yea highly recommend checking this one out especially if you like Heartstopper, then I think you’ll love this one.
It's just so dang cute! While it's definitely more focused on romance, I enjoyed seeing Momo fall in love and learn to be a bit more selfish. I wanted to see a bit more from Momo's friends, mostly because I couldn't remember their names. The art style was so cute and I loved the fashion in it! I'd love to read another graphic novel from her.

I 👏🏼 AM 👏🏼 OBESSED 👏🏼 WITH 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼 BOOK 👏🏼
It's a sapphic romance graphic novel with illustrations that are so friken cute I spent a lot of time just admiring the artistry.
Pick this up if you love:
- Miscommunication trope
- Broody/intimidating love interest
- Nerdy and socially awkward main character
- College romance
I was, quite literally, kicking my feet and smiling the whole time I read this. It is easily one of the cutest graphic novels I’ve read in a while, with some of the most lovable characters.
This was so cute and absolutely delightful all around! From the art style to the characters to the storyline, I truly enjoyed every aspect of this graphic novel. We get to see Momo and PG fall for each other while also growing further into themselves. Neither of them are perfect and there are times where I wished they might have made a slightly different choice, but I think that’s just the bit of necessary realism that actually made this so good, instead of some perfect little relationship. Also, it’s just queer joy and more specifically sapphic joy, in a world where queerness seems to largely just exist without question. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
While this does seem to largely be a romance focusing on Momo’s perspective, I really appreciated that we got to see both Momo and PG grow and develop, whether that’s from small flashbacks or how they complement one another as they become friends and then something more. It’s also really nice to see a romance that, while it begins with some attraction, largely gets to its HEA because of the friendship that the two characters built before it became fully romantic. I rooted for Momo and PG because they truly seem to make eachother happier, and help the other be a slightly better version of themselves.
This was such a fun read and I truly enjoyed every minute I spent with Momo and PG. Their story is a great balance of light and romantic with more realistic and slightly angsty. The miscommunication is a well-done through line instead of just a trope dropped in for conflict. I’m glad to have read Momo and PG’s story and I would definitely look forward to any other stories from the author in the future!
Thanks to Netgalley and Penguin Teen for an e arc of this!
What an amazing graphic novel! Such an adorable romance with beautiful artwork! I loved the story. I definitely feel this is more New Adult than YA!
I've had this book on pre-order for months, so I was very delighted to receive an ARC. I enjoyed the teasers of the characters and art from the author. The story and art style exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to have a physical copy to share. I really enjoyed the pacing of the relationship and that PG and Momo were so patient with one another and respectful of each others boundaries. I highly recommend if you're looking for a cute romance that delves into some important topics while also not being too cliche.
Thank you to Viking Books for Young Readers for providing me with an e-ARC of If You'll Have Me in exchange for an honest review!
I am obsessed with this cute little graphic novel. Once I started If You'll Have Me I didn't want to tear myself away nor did I want it to end. The art? FLAWLESS. The characters? AMAZING. The romance? PERFECT. This is the perfect little Queer read and I 10 out of 10 recommend picking it up!
I think I have finally read my first 5 star sapphic graphic novel of the year. This story was so incredibly cute. The art work and colors were amazing. The pacing I would say is fast and the characters were likeable.
I found myself unable to put this one down. I will be recommending this to all my friends for sure.
This was exactly the type of read I needed, so cute and precious PG + momo are the cutest. Seeing more and more queer romances in books makes my heart so happy bc we need more representation especially for POC and Eunnie gave us just that.
This is easily one of my favourite graphic novels I've ever read! The whole thing was really sweet and relatable as a sapphic person myself. The art was also so fitting for the vibe of the story! The topic of not feeling like you're worthy of being liked hit so hard for me. I loved this so so much. I would highly recommend.
Momo is a very shy college freshman who meets a friend of a friend named PG and becomes infatuated. PG has a reputation of seducing many ladies, while Momo has never had a girlfriend. As they spend more time together, they grow closer and signals become crossed.
This was a really quick and cute graphic novel! I loved both Momo and PG. Momo was so sweet, and caring, truly would be the best friend you've always wanted. I loved how PG was broody, and the I hate everyone but you trope really came into play. Their relationship was so sweet, and I loved how opposites attracted in their story. I love how they both worked through their insecurities together, and came out stronger in the end because of it.
I need more stories with these two, and where their relationship goes from here.
