I thoroughly enjoyed the fourth book in Jacqueline Frost's A Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series. 'Stalking Around the Christmas Tree' finally brought us the impending marriage of Holly and Evan yet all was not smooth in the execution. The worst part of the wedding issues included a murder and very uncertain weather patterns. When a ballerina from the town of Mistletoe's production of The Nutcracker is murdered just days before the wedding everyone needs to jump on board to solve the mystery. Complicating the issue is the apparent danger to Libby that she isn't sharing with anyone else and thinks is related to her testifying against a crime leader in previous book. All of this offers many twists and turns that lead to a wonderful conclusion. The love and good cheer expressed in this book is just delightful. I hope there are many more in the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this gook from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Holly and her friends and family in Mistletoe are busy with all the Christmas activities in their town that celebrates year round. Added to the usual festivities, Holly and Evan are getting married on Christmas Eve. A ballet company will be performing The Nutcracker this year to attract even more people. All is not merry and bright when the lead ballerina dies during the parade. And Evan’s sister, Libby, has been acting strangely. She testified against a gangster and now she’s being stalked and is scared for herself and the people closest to her. So there are two mysteries…who killed the ballerina and who is stalking Libby?
Evan worries about Holly getting involved in the investigation, but accepts that it’s part of who she is. The characters are fun and the friendships warm. Despite the death and stalking, there is plenty of good humor and fun in the story and Mistletoe is a place I’d love to visit. Get into the Christmas spirit with this cozy holiday mystery.
Thank you to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for this ARC.

I'm glad there's a new instalment in this series and I enjoyed and was glad to catch up with the characters.
A Christmas mystery that made me wish it was December and kept me guessing.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

I love stories where someone has to save Christmas, and this cozy mystery delivers! Stalking Around the Christmas Tree by Jacqueline Frost is the fourth book in the Christmas Tree Farm mystery series. An entertaining read until the final page, this is certainly a book to add to your Christmas reading list.
Meet Holly. She lives in Mistletoe, Maine and runs the local inn. Her family owns Reindeer Games Tree Farm, Hearth Cage, and the Inn she runs. The inn is booked for the holiday, and her Christmas Eve wedding to the local sheriff is approaching. The state’s ballet company is staying at the inn in Mistletoe for several performances of The Nutcracker. During the parade, the lead ballerina with hidden secrets winds up dead on a float with the Rat King’s mask nearby. Will Holly be able to spruce up her sleuthing skills and catch the killer before Christmas and her wedding day?
Frost brings readers in with a winter setting, a clever plot, and beguiling characters. I was intrigued by the character development throughout the novel and cannot wait to see what Holly experiences in the rest of the series. I highly recommend it to readers who love a cozy mystery, especially a Christmas one. I cannot wait to get my hands on the series, especially book four, and pull a reread to get me in the holiday spirit.
Thank you to Netgalley and Crooked Lane Books for an eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed the first three books in the series, and was eagerly anticipating the fourth one! It did not disappoint; it was great to revisit Mistletoe, Maine. From the dual mysteries going on, to the fantastic cast of characters, this book was a joy to read!
Definitely one of my favorite cozy mysteries to date.
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley/Crooked Lane Books. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I tried to get into this book but unfortunately was unable too, I’m sure many other will. That is the beauty of books and readers. Thank you for allowing me the advanced copy :)

This book is really interesting I’m not sure if this is a series or of this is the first boom but I really enjoyed it and never read a book with a Christmas theme or that had a town that was all for Christmas like it was.

The perfect book for a cold ,winter night! Holly and her family own a Christmas tree farm, cafe and inn in snowy MIstletoe. A ballet company is in MIstletoe with their Nutcracker performances and that’s when things start to happen. Murder, mystery , romance and a wedding round out this perfect story.
This is my first book from this series, and won’t be my last! Thank you to NetGalley, and. Crooked Lane books for this ARC, in return for my opinion.

I really loved this book in a new to my series and author. I can't wait to read the next one. The characters and location really add to the plot. This book keeps you guessing until the end

How Holly got through the week before her wedding is a mystery in itself. I would have lost my mind. Not only does she have final preparations to deal with, but also her duties at her family inn. She even has to lead the Reindeer games. If there isn’t already a place in Maine doing something like that, they need to cause it sounds fun. But on top of all that, one of the ballerinas staying at the inn is murdered and Holly is working at finding the killer so she and her sheriff fiancé can get married in peace. Oh, and one more thing. Holly’s sister has a stalker.
This was a fun read and I was happy Holly survived her week, despite the blizzard. See?! It never ends in Mistletoe! This was book 4 in the series and I think I’ll go back and read 1-3 and see what other shenanigans Holly’s been up to.

Tis the season in Mistletoe, Maine! Holly is settling in to her innkeeper duties, the ballet company has come to town for repeat performances, and Holly and Evan’s wedding date is fast approaching! All is well until the lead ballerina is found murdered…
Holly has her sleuthing cap on again, albeit this time with mixed results. With so much on her plate-helping out at her parents farm, last minute wedding details, wrapping presents for last minute gift-drives, etc-she’s a bit distracted and her friends have more page time to help fill on the blanks of the case. That’s not to say Holly isn’t still nosing around and finding herself in danger on occasion! She’s still at it and I feel for poor Evan’s nerves with this entry. Poor guy has to stay on his toes with Holly.
Overall, this was another fun entry to the series! I enjoyed so much! The dual plots-a smaller one involving Libby and a previously mentioned thread find resolution-the festivities for the holiday season as well as Holly’s wedding and of course, the colorful cast of characters deserve a mention since they play a big part of the crazy. I’m hoping another story is in the works about Zane and Caroline, not to mention Cookie and her goat, lol!

Christmas and a wedding for the holidays - what can go wrong? A good read with lots of twist and turns - and will the murder to solve before the wedding is sp0ilt. An exciting cozy story, for the cozy fans. Thanks you NetGalley and the publishers for the DRC

It’s Christmastime at the Reindeer Games tree farm in Mistletoe, Maine. A couple of feet of snow are on the ground, festive decorations abound, and snowman families stand guard awaiting Christmas Day. Holly white and the town’s sheriff, Evan Gray, are making plans for their upcoming Christmas Eve wedding.
A troupe of ballerinas from the state conservatory of ballet are staying at the inn at Reindeer Games, readying themselves for a performance of The Nutcracker Ballet. Members of the troupe, in an effort to promote the upcoming performance, appear in the local parade. The lead ballerina is found dead inside a snow globe. Who is her killer, and why is she murdered?
STALKING AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE is an especially fun read for me. The author names the lead ballerina after a You Tuber I follow, Tiffany Krieg. In addition to the well-drawn characters and intriguing plot, this cozy novel has a wonderful Christmastime setting. I certainly plan to read the other books in Jacqueline Frost’s Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series.
Thank you, Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley, for giving me the opportunity to read and review the e-arc of STALKING AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE.

It’s Christmas In Mistletoe, Maine. Holly White, the Inn Keeper at the Reindeer Games Inn, favorite time of year! Especially this year, since she’s marrying Evan Gray, Mistletoe’s sheriff. Holly has her hands full this year with an Inn full of ballerinas, staying for several performances of the Nutcracker, helping with the annual reindeer games, and preparing for upcoming nuptials. Disaster strikes when the lead ballerina shows up dead on a float during the Christmas parade. Holly can’t help but put her sleuthing skills to the test. But does Holly go to far this time and get caught snooping by the killer? Will Holly get her happily ever after and solve the case in time for her wedding or does she fall into the killer’s trap?
Jacqueline Frost does it again with her Christmas Tree Farm Mystery Series. She didn’t just give us one mystery in this book but two! This book will have you laughing and crying all in the same page. This book has everything you could ever want, festive, cozy, mystery with a smidge of romance and a memorable heroine!

Well as Holly prepares to sort everything out for her Christmas Eve wedding to her fiancé & the local Sheriff Evan Gray in the holiday obsessed town of Mistletoe, the lead Ballerina of the Nutcracker dies mysteriously while in a Snowglobe at the Towns Parade ,plus Evan's sister Libby is also in danger too. It is a book that can be read at anytime of the year . #NetGalley,#GoodReads,#Amazon.co.uk, #FB, #Instagram, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/8a5b541512e66ae64954bdaab137035a5b2a89d2" width="80" height="80" alt="200 Book Reviews" title="200 Book Reviews"/>, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/ef856e6ce35e6d2d729539aa1808a5fb4326a415" width="80" height="80" alt="Reviews Published" title="Reviews Published"/>, #<img src="https://www.netgalley.com/badge/aa60c7e77cc330186f26ea1f647542df8af8326a" width="80" height="80" alt="Professional Reader" title="Professional Reader"/>.

Stalking Around the Christmas Tree is the fourth book in The Christmas Tree Farm Mystery series. I love this series. I can read this series any time of the year.
Holly White lives in Mistletoe, Maine and works at her parent’s Christmas Tree farm. The Reindeer Games Inn is the new addition to the farm. The state ballet company is in to town to perform The Nutcracker and the inn is booked with the performers. Holly is busy trying to prepare for her upcoming wedding to Sheriff Evan Gray. The lead ballerina, Tiffany, winds up dead on the float during the parade making things a little more complicated. Holly needs to help Evan find the killer in time for their wedding.
I love the town of Mistletoe and everything about it. Reindeer Games Tree Farm is a staple in the town, and I love how Holly and her family bring everyone together. The tree farm has the Hearth Cafe where Evan’s sister, Libby, works with Holly’s mom. I can almost picture myself sitting there at the counter. You cannot forget about the actual Reindeer Games. I am so glad the games were included because I loved them since book 1. Holly’s friends and family are wonderful, and they are a huge part of why I love this series. Everyone needs someone like Cookie in their life! I would love to visit Mistletoe and stay at the Reindeer Games Inn. The author does such a great job of bringing the town, the farm, and the Inn to life as if you were already there. I love Christmas and I love cozies. This is a must ready for any fan of both.
A FIVE STAR READ!!!!
I received an arc in exchange for my honest review.

I love a good Christmas book and I love a good cozy murder mystery and this one checked alll the boxes! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, I get so involved in my books! I really was surprised at the ending. i loved the suspense and mystery. Highly recommend, thank you for the arc.

Good story involving the Christmas holidays, an impending wedding, a nor'easter storm, death threats, murder, and even attempted murder! So many things ready to interfere with the holiday wedding. Add to the tumult a troupe of ballerinas and we have a holiday blast. I recommend this book. It was slow, at points, and I read other books at those points.. However, enjoyable enough for me to try another one.

This was another hit in the 4th Christmas Tree Farm Mysteries. This sets the mood for the Christmas season! A wedding, murder and Christmas theme town. This series has all the making for a wonderful cozy mystery it is a must!
#StalkingAroundtheChristmasTree #NetGalley

First and foremost, HUGE THANK YOU to Jacqueline Frost (a.k.a. Cozy Queen Julie Anne Lindsey), Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for this advanced copy of Stalking Around the Christmas Tree (out 10/17/23 - pre-order it now!)! Secondly, Ho, Ho, Ho-ly wow! What an excellent addition to the Christmas Tree Farm mystery series! I never want this series to end!
In this installment, Holly White prepares for her wedding day on top of trying to solve the fourth murder to plague her small town of Mistletoe; hopefully before Sheriff/fiancé Evan Grey figures it all out first. But murder isn’t the only mystery these two are trying to solve before the big day and they’ll need to bring all our favorite characters together to figure it out in time.
I cannot adequately put into words how much I loved this book! Definitely the best one in the series so far and I look forward to re-reading this series ever holiday season. There’s nothing I didn’t love about this book! From the main couple, to all the side characters, to the Reindeer Games I just want to crawl into this book and live forever in their world (once all the murderers are locked up of course😉).
If you’re looking for a cozy holiday mystery and/or a gift for a book lover this holiday season (or any time of year) look no further! Buy a copy for you and a friend today 🤓
