This book's lays out really simple, easy-to-digest concepts that I found myself unexpectedly coming back to after I was finished! It's a worthwhile read!
Minimalism is limiting your possession to what you absolutely need. In the process of adopting a minimalist lic lifestyle, this itinerant mediation and spiritual teacher developed the philosophy of spiritual minimalism. The seven principles of spiritual minimalism are as follows:
1. Prioritize and cultivate inner happiness.
2. Make your most important decisions from your heart, not your head.
3. Live as though there were throwaway moments.
4. Give what you want to receive.
5. Your curiosity is the gateway to your path.
6. Get comfortable with discomfort.
7. Enhance the freedom of choicelessness.
I find that the philosophy of spiritual minimalism has some nice features to it but I think that it has a major flaw. It makes an artificial distinction between the heart and the head and makes one superior to the other. I personally think that they work in unison with each other and you need both for spiritual insights.
