I am a beginner knitter and this book is way above my level, however the patterns in the book make me want to learn more!
The information at the beginning of the book is very thorough and it did make me think that maybe I can tackle one of the lovely hats in Cozy Coastal Knits.
I love that this book had a visual index of the patterns in the front to easily find the pattern I'm looking for. As the author discusses basics such as equipment needed, discussion on yarn types and weights and swatching, there are "pro tips" included that are very handy for beginners. This section is done better than many I've seen and comprises the first 48 pages of the book. Then, the patterns...
There is a nice mix of patterns here and I found several I'd love to knit. None of the patterns appear overly complicated. Each includes enough beautifully shot photos to clearly show the design.

As a knitting beginner, I really liked the inclusion of the basics in this book. From choosing the correct needles to other handy tools and first-aid necessities, it was very helpful to see. For each design, I liked the pictures and notes that accompanied the tutorial.
