As lovely as the rest of the series. I really enjoyed being back on Orkney with the wrens and getting more of their story. Lovely read

What a joy to rejoin the girls! Sally, Mary and Iris as they protect the coastline at Orkney. Who’s going to protect the girls?

Sally is convinced she is in love with Adam and that he’s the one for her. Does he feel the same way? She has more to think about when she get a new colleague who appears at first to have a bit of an ego.
Italian pow’s get moved close by and Aldo who was a patient in the hospital at the same time as Sally is amongst them. He too could be in danger from a source closer to home.

Mary and Iris haven’t seen their sweethearts, Joe and Rob for some time as they are away with the Navy so keep themselves busy at work then helping out on Curlew Croft owned by Archie and Elspeth Heddle who have enough love to go round them all. Making them feel at home.

I do hope we will get another book.

Wow what a emotional end to the girls!, loved following the adventures of Sally, Mary and Iris now sad that it’s over.
In this final installement it’s all coming together for the Wrens but not without difficulties.
Been fantastic following the lives and lives of the wrens and Vicki has written this series perfectly.
Hoping she will soon release another series and more great characters to get to know

I like this series. I like this author. I like this publisher. This is a fun, quick read, written by a talented and gifted author. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the author. The women, in this book, are realistic and reading about their lives is intriguing. Historical fiction is a great genre, entertaining and informative. We can't imagine what these women lived through...what they did...how they survived. Enjoy this cozy book...be transported back in time...
