Enjoyable cosy crime, with a warm and friendly detective trio.

If this is the last of the Deadly Village stories, then it ends tied up neatly.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me a copy of this story in exchange for my review.

Nancy and her friend Jonathan plus her Grandmother Jane have started solving murders in their small village.
I thought it took too long to get to the murder. But overall it was a good read.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC and to the publisher Hera Books.

Rating : 3.75 / 5

I really enjoyed solving the murder with the characters, I couldn’t stop reading but there were moments where I would facepalm myself with Nancy’s decisions. A very plot-driven book where you would second guess every action made, accusing everyone of being the killer. Reading the previous books, I craved for more action and this one was definitely action-packed, maybe too much.

It all ends nicely, happy that I also got to partially make a correct guess on who the killer is. There was a pinch of romance sprinkled at the end that doesn’t really change much to the plot. But, I’m happy for the characters.

No spoilers, but with how the suspects were handled in the ending, there is still some room for another book to happen.

An enjoyable cosy crime mystery. A little formulaic, but easy to read with lots of twists and turns to keep reader interest.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

A page-turner of a book that keeps you hooked.

This is the third book in the series.

Nancy, along with her grandmother Jane own a bookshop in the village of Dedley End, they also solve mysteries.

Nancy decides to try and find her mother, who left the village over twenty years ago. It was thought that she’d died, but recently she was seen by someone.

But, as well as this, a murder is committed in the church, so Nancy and Jane are on the case to try and find the killer, and find out how it was done as the church was locked.

I highly recommend this book.

My favourite things about the book;
•Heartwarming but cosy crime at the same time
•Nancys wonderful nan Jane - if you love a great older character in a book. Then you would love Jane.
•The mystery of it
•The who done it - I didn’t work it out or see it coming.
•A sweet friendship.

How I loved being back at this charming Cotswold village with Nancy, Jane and Jonathan in this cosy crime mystery.

I adore the main characters with them being a fab trio! They really are wonderful and warm characters, you can’t help but fall in love with them!

This book really kept you guessing with thinking what was going to happen. I was totally gripped, with a lot of questions I wanted to know the answers to there and then! It had the right intensity with me being on the edge of my seat at times.

But I loved the ending so much and had to message Vicky when I read it to tell her. If you have read it you will know what I mean. 🤐

On a side note I love Vicky’s books how we get little bit of snippets of her passions in life that shine through in her books. Keep writing fab books for us 🥰❤️

The book is out 13th April and I highly recommend reading this. Thanks Netgalley for approving me to read this.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book.

I really enjoyed this book and even though I worked out the murderer straight away, I still liked seeing the story unravel.

I absolutely love the relationship between Nancy, Jane and Jonathan and I enjoy going through the investigation with them. This was a personal case for Nancy this time as she was looking for her mother and looking into the reasons why she left Nancy and her father when Nancy was only 6 years old.

I wish that I had realised that this was the last of a trilogy (it being recorded as Deadly End series), as I wasn’t expecting the ending at all.

If you haven't read either of the other books in this series I would recommend you not start with this one (mostly because you'll be missing out on some good books). Although there is plenty of information and backstory provided here you may just feel a little out of the loop on what is going on at the time of this story. I have recently become a fan of the cozy mystery genre and this has been one of my favorites. I love following Nancy as she investigates the murders in her little village - and here we get a 2-for-1 deal on the mysteries. It's also about time she and Jonathan got it together! I liked that DCI Brown accepted and sought out Nancy's involvement, it was a nice change from the usual meddling amateur sleuth trope. There are definitely some clever twists (one I saw coming, one I did not) and resolution with the big bad villain caught me by surprise. The entire book will keep you on your toes! I loved how the author handled the reappearance of Nancy's mother - it wasn't an immediate reconciliation which made the situation so much more believable. I'm going to miss not getting to see these characters again, but after the year they had they deserve a break!

Nancy Hunter, along with her grandmother, Jane, and her best friend, Jonathan, are back to solve another mystery... and this one is very close to home! After hearing that Nancy's mother, who ran away when she was six, was spotted at a Christmas party near Dedley End, Nancy is determined to find her mother and get a few answers. However, what unravels is a mystery worthy of the greats, as together with Jane and Jonathan, they must not only find her mother, but also find a murderer too!

Oh gosh! This book was absolutely tremendous! This was a locked room mystery, worth of Agatha Christie! While I've gotten quite good at picking up clues and solving the mystery early on, this one was almost unsolvable! How did the victim die in a locked church? And who killed him?

I've been a big fan of Victoria Walters' books since I discovered Glendale Hall, and I was so thrilled when she started to write cosy crime - my favourite genre! She's an absolute natural at delivering a first class whodunnit. This one was particularly high suspense as it involved a gang from London, and I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the murderer was!

The story intertwines [without giving spoilers] to the previous two mysteries, and I highly recommend reading all three books in order. After just a few pages in Dedly End you will be wanting to come back for more. With an ending that is worth the wait [and a few toe curling moments], this mystery is definitely a five star read! I absolutely can't wait for the next mystery!

Nancy Hunter hasn’t seen or heard from her Mother for over 20 years. Samantha walked out on Nancy and her Father and seemed to disappear. Then Nancy discovered that her Mother has been seen at a Christmas Party on a nearby estate. Suddenly Nancy is fixated on finding her mum and finding out why she left without a word all those years ago.
A newcomer to the village could hold some of the answers but when someone is murdered in the village church Nancy fears she may be delving into something far darker and more dangerous than she could ever have thought.
I enjoyed this twisty, warm-hearted book. I like the characters; they are warm and funny and engaging. I will definitely read more by this author.

Cozy crime mystery with interesting characters. Think I needed to read the books in this series before I read this one. Didn’t bowl me over but it did keep me reading!

This is my usual favorite kind of cozy mystery. But it failed to pull me in. The characters just felt dry and the story line too bogged down.

Another fun read to the series! This had plenty of red herrings and action going on. Nice to see some of the other mysteries and loose ends tied up as well.

This was a cute cozy mystery with great characters! The story was a little slow and I wish it would have held my interest a little better but I’d still recommend if you’re a lover of all thing cozy!

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to review this book!

I was lucky enough to get an arc of this from NetGalley, and since as I was waiting to get my hands on a copy, imagine my delight! I have really enjoyed this series and these characters. This book appears to be the last of series and it closes it very well. Nancy solves her largest remaining life mystery, with her Gran and Jonathan by her side. The plot was well thought out and there were some really good twists in this novel. A truly fun cozy mystery series that’s worth the read.

Thank you Netgalley for this arc

It has been a joy to continue reading the dramas that unfold before Nancy and Jane Hunter. Another great book with all the cosy murder tropes you could ask for. We have a lot of questions answered that have come up in the previous two books, which was wonderful. I enjoyed lot's of aspects of this book but obviously without revealing spoilers, Victoria takes this book to a new level. I really hope I get to read more of these books in the future but if this was the last book in the trilogy, then I am very happy with the ending!

When I saw the cover and title of this book I imagined it to be like a Miss Marple kind of mystery. In a way, it was as Nancy lived with her Grandmother and they ran a local bookshop previously owned by her parents.

Although well-written, this book was difficult for me to follow as I found it very slow and, as its description, a bit too cozy.

I’m sure some people will like this gentle mystery story but it just wasn’t for me.

It is left to Nancy and Jane to solve and find the key to this unexplained murder mystery, but while doing so they dive into the past and come close to finding a person that doesn’t want to be found! This grandmother/granddaughter duo is absolutely everything you want! Filled with so much love, joy, heartache, and truth you won’t want to out this book down!

This was a fun and lively book with some really great characters. As I've read the first two books in the series, it really did feel like I was being 'reuinted' with Nancy, Jonathan and Nancy's grandmother. There was some great twists but at times it felt a little slow paced and at other times like a mad goose chase with too many characters. I really enjoyed the dramatic ending and was audibly shocked by the showdown. Overall, this was an enjoyable read.
