This is the third of a six books series, but can certainly be read as a stand alone. I have read a bunch of Leslie North books and love her alpha males!

Harley recently inherited her late brother's home after he passed away in action. She has been in an abusive relationship and this was the fresh start she needed. Her brother's best friend is determined to help her renovate the home. Throughout this time it is discovered Harley's ex has been hanging around. As the title indicates Harley discovers she is pregnant with her exs child.

This particular storyline/trope didn't work for me. I had a hard time getting into it. That being said, I love Leslie North and will continue to read her books and recommend her stuff, just likely not this one.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Harley and Garrett. Harley has come to town because her brother, a friend of Garrett, has passed away and left his estate to Harley. Garret is a navy seal. There is an instant attraction. Garrett is helping to fix up Harley’s house. They both have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

This is one of many books about Navy seals falling in love. Harley is on the run from an abusive ex and is finally reconnecting with her brother. When he is killed, his best friend, Garrett takes her in and protects her from her past. As they work together they discover love exists but not smoothly. A quick easy read on a very in the news topic.

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Good story with some tension. Gave good background of the deployment that Garrett and Sebastian were involved in. Thankfully not a great amount of detail about Harley's life with Thomas but enough to hate him and cheer his justice. Recommend.

A cute quick read, would like to read others in the series. Perfect for small journeys or to be read in-between other bigger/serious books.
Even though I liked it, I felt it was a little bit rushed and lacked plot/character in certain areas that made it a little bit less believable.

The SEAL’s Pregnant Roommate by Leslie North.
Hartville's SEAL Heroes #4.
Harley Von’s never been lucky in life, let alone in love. And her streak of ill fortune continues when her long-lost brother passes away just as they were on the verge of reconnecting. On the run from a bad relationship, she’s less than delighted to find herself sharing Sebastian’s fixer-upper with his gruff but gorgeous friend, Garrett. With her ex breathing down her neck and a baby on the way, Harley’s got plenty to deal with. Falling for a sexy SEAL isn’t part of her plan.
Brilliant read. I love this series. 5*.

This story about a pregnant lady inheriting her deceased brother’s house, while trying to hide out from an abusive husband, had all the elements to be a page turner. But, with the lack of character development and overall depth, it fell short. I was not invested in Harley Von, her husband Thomas or her new lover, Navy Seal Garrett.

Navy SEAL Garrett Moore isn’t looking for romance. His life is the SEALs, end of discussion. Still, grieving and guilt-ridden over his teammate’s death, he’s determined to do what he can to help Sebastian’s sister. And Harley’s combination of vulnerability and determination is captivating. She’s like a skittish fawn refusing to back down from a mountain lion.

He can’t help feeling protective of her, especially when the ex shows up and gets physical. But Garrett’s only in town for as long as it takes to repair the old house.

Love has a funny way of changing things, though.

A fun, quick read featuring a military man and his best friend's sister. It is as predictable as you would expect, but that doesn't detract from the fun. This is a great snapshot of military families banding together to help one of their own. I really enjoy the escapism in Leslie's books, and am always happy to be able to read one.

Thank you to NetGalley for for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Another great book by Leslie North.
I always love the characters she creates and introduces in these books. The plot was great, captivated me from the start. Garrett and Harley have had some rough times in their personal lives, and both are trying to come too terms with the past. But when circumstances put these two wounded souls together, it will be hard to fight their attraction. Lots of ups and downs with their emotions, but this just made them more real. Love all her books, and this one did not disappoint.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Harley hasn't had an easy life. She moves to Hartsville after learning that her brother has died and she has inherited his house. Along with the house, she also kind of inherits Garrett since he's currently living in the house. They have a LOT to overcome to finally get their happily ever after.

This story includes a SEAL in mourning over the loss of his best friend, a long lost sister that missed a chance to get to know her brother, an abusive husband, a pregnancy, a house being renovated, a group of friends, and a small town. The author does a good job moving the couple along through all of their ups and downs. This is a short story, and everything happens in double time so there are some strange events you just have to accept as a reader. For example, Harley was in a very scary marriage that she just left but she very quickly accepts Garrett in her life and house plus she lets him touch her. I thought Garrett was perfect but not in an annoying way. Toward the end of the story I decided that Harley was pretty close to being to stupid to live because her actions were pretty dumb. In the end, this story made me smile and I wanted to know how it would end so I gave it 4 stars. I will read more from this author in the future.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Harley is all alone in the world. Nobody to trust until she meets Garrett. A whole new world of possibilities opens up for her. New life with friends. She hasn't had friends in forever. Trust is not something that came easy to Harley. Garrett is awesome at giving her the space and time that she needs.
I enjoyed reading, The Seals Pregnant Roommate.
