This book was beyond emotional and adorable all at the same time. Once I started, it was hard to put it down!
The characters felt genuine and full of growth, and I found myself so attached to their story.
I cannot wait to recommend and buy this book for others this holiday!

I love the premise of this book so much… It is quite unique, and I love how the author combined the essence of the film Groundhog Day with the poignancy of It’s a Wonderful Life. The gift/lesson that really hit home for me was the fact that all we really have is this moment, and the people around us are precious. This was excellent storytelling that kept me turning pages.

I went in thinking I'll like the book only going by the cover, and I'm happy it lived up to my expectations. The story is charming and one that I'm definitely going to come back to re-read. I liked Diana's character arc. Despite the unusual setting, where it's a given she's reliving the same day in different ways, her choices really mirror an everyday woman's.
Fans of The Midnight Library will like this.
This was such a heartwarming story. In this book Diana comes home from work and is very upset that a patient of hers called her an ice queen. Things get worse when her fiancé doesn’t automatically disagree and jump to her defense. They end up going to bed mad and waking up unhappy with each other. Her day goes from bad to worse and it ends with Linus getting hurt and being in a coma. Diana is crushed as days go by and Linus remains unconscious, she wishes she could go back and re-do that day, spend just one more day with Linus. Then her strange neighbor gives her advice on how to make that wish come true. Diana brushes her off as crazy, but ends up giving it a try, and finds herself reliving the worst day of her life over and over again hoping that maybe this time she can change the outcome. This was an interesting story about what would you do if you could go back in time, and how would you try to change things. There was a lot of character growth, great side characters, and some interesting twists and turns in this story. It’s everything you want in a holiday story! I received an ARC, and this is my honest review.
This is a sweet, cute Christmas "Groundhog's Day" love story. Diana has a hard time shaking the scars of her childhood and letting people into her heart. She loves her fiancé and best friend, but cannot seem to open up to people. An enchantment puts her into a December 4th loop, and she repeats the day over and over again slowly learning how to love and accept love in return.
A fun twist on the movie!

A sweet time loop story. A woman with a difficult childhood is closed off as she and her much loved fiancee approach a wedding. When he is suddenly injured and in a coma, she gets the chance to see what could be and what is missing. Really lovely.
Did someone say Christmas in June? Because I am all in!
This is a Groundhog Day type of book with a bit of Christmas sprinkle on it.
Diana is a physical therapist whose fiancé
Linus was critically injured when a car hit him as he biked home from the toy store he owns and manages. But on Christmas Eve Diana wakes up to find that it’s not—Christmas Eve. Instead, it’s somehow December 4 all over again, the day Linus got hurt, and as mystified as Diana is, she immediately starts a plan to save her partner from his fate.
We follow Diana on her journey to “correct” the events of December 4th, but in that journey she evaluates and discovers what she really wants and cares about. She learns about herself, relationships with people in her lives and where her priorities lie.
This is a beautiful book that, I am sure, is going to warm so many hearts this Christmas season.

Thank You @netgalley and @kensingtonbooks for this beautiful ARC!
Diana and her fiance, Linus, live and work in a small town. She has been putting off setting a date for their wedding and one might they argue about it. The next day, Linus is hurt in a bike accident and is now in a coma. When Diana has the opportunity to relive that day, she tries to make it so he doesn't ride his bike. When that doesn't work, she tries again. But she keeps waking up to that day. After finally realizing that she needs to change herself, not the events of the day, she finally is able to move forward.
Heartwarming romance-drama, novel about friendship and moving out of your comfort zone.
Very cute and entertaining Groundhogs at Christmas time story.
The story was sweet and easy going, even though the main character was a bit of a disaster (how do you mess up an interview that many times?).
I would read this again.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC. All views are my own.
I love books where I go through all the different emotions: happy, sad, crying, to happy again. If you like an emotional journey this one is for you.
Linus and Diane are engaged and Diane can’t seem to set a date. Their silly argument is forgotten after Linus is in a tragic accident. With the help of a magic snow globe Diane repeats the day of Linus’s accident in an endless time loop while learning things about herself in every way.
This book put me through the wringer. It was an emotional rollercoaster that I really enjoined being on.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
Groundhogs day at Christmas can be so frustrating while trying to save your fiancé . I enjoyed how the main character tried to change things about each day by helping others out and not just by taking a different turn.
It was a sweet and sometime heart wrenching story all at the same time. If you want to take some time out from your day and hop into someone else’s you might enjoy this story. I am giving it 3 stars because I like a smooth flowing book and sometimes this was not that.
What a cute and heart warming story! It was fun following along with Diana as she’s stuck living the same day over and over again. Each day she tries to make different choices to change the outcome of her fiancé getting in an accident. I really loved seeing Diana go from being so guarded to being more open and expressive of her feelings. This is the perfect holiday read and will have you smiling!
Thank you so much NetGalley and Kensington Books for the early gifted copy!

Through the Snow Globe
by Annie Rains
Pub Date 8/22/23
Diana Merriman, physical therapist, fiancée, and a bit of an ice queen with her emotions finds herself reliving December 4 after her neighbor enchants her snow globe.
The thing is it’s one of the worst days of her life. Her fiancé, Linus Grant, gets into a horrible accident, she doesn’t get a promotion, and it’s her BFF’s birthday. Can she change the outcome of that day or does she keep reliving it until she learns the lessons she needs to?
Annie Rains writes in a way that the reader is engaged and interested in what happens to Diana. It wasn’t redundant reading the same day over and over again. A great easy read for anyone that loves reading about relationships, friendships, and learning how to deal with life.

This is the first book I have read by Annie Rains . I enjoyed it. It reminded me of the movie Premonition but the only difference is is she saw what her life could be like through the snow globe. I can see myself reading more books by this author. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.
Shades of Groundhog Day reside in the backdrop of THROUGH THE SNOW GLOBE by Annie Rains. In fact the author does mention that movie through the thoughts of the lead character Diana. Diana is a physical therapist who cares for specific people who are housebound because of their issues. We meet a couple of her clients as they become part of Diana’s journey into who she really is. Folk around her have a rather concrete description of her. She feels as though she is judged harshly and unfairly. That is the provocative question throughout this book.
Annie Rains takes us on an introspective journey for Diana through the magic of an enchanted snow globe. Okay time to suspend disbelief and enter the world of dreams. Imagine trying to change the trajectory of your life. Diana desperately wants happiness and love. She has a problem with recognizing her own value. Her fiancé Linus wants to move forward with their relationship, but his attempts are stalled by Diana’s fears.
Diana is a product of her upbringing and lack of demonstrative love of a family. Linus is quite the opposite with his wonderful large family. Diana is going to face many of her self-imposed demons, and we are along for a very bumpy ride.
Annie Rains really flexed her literary muscles in THROUGH THE SNOW GLOBE. I already know this is one of those stories that will be revisited. The supporting cast is absolutely dreamy. The relationship building is well thought out and delightful
Diana always push people off and keep distance, it is because of her childhood make her doesnt want to attach. This christmast she learn to change everything and be more open up and closer to the people around her. I like Diana journey, she had chance to become better person and not regret everything.
Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

This book was an entertaining holiday read. Along the lines of Groundhog Day, it had compelling characters and a complex story of self-examination. It was not my favorite of Annie Rains’ books, but I still enjoyed the story and know I can’t go wrong with one of her books!
A solid romance for the holidays. It was well written and romantic, but a bit clichéd. I liked it, it just bored me a but. Annie rains always has solid and enjoyable books, they're just a bit predictable and therefore boring. A good dependable Christmas read, though.
What a beautifully told story, that will wrap you up in the story and leave you shaken like you are in your own snow globe. Watching Diana as she goes through each day and makes realisations and ties to take the best bits with her was just beautiful. Watching her realise what was important and growing with each passing day, and how hopeless she feels at the loss of Linus, that was so well done, it gave you a real tug at your heart strings. This was just a very well done story that shows us so many deep storylines, that tug and change as they grow and develop, it was my first read by this author, but it certainly wont be the last.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me on ARC copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts and comments are my own.
This was such a fun and cute Christmas read. It definitely gives off The Groundhog Day vibes. I feel like this book teaches you to look around and enjoy what you have before you don’t have it anymore.
I adore Christmas books and this was just a really good one to read. I loved the happy endings for everyone and I can’t wait to reread this closer to Christmas.
4 stars!
