I loved this story. It was endearing and magical! I liked Diana’s character development but I wish there were more scenes with Linus.

Wow! This book! Once I was invested I couldn’t put it down. I didn’t think that it was going to end how it did so I was certainly surprised there.

While I loved this book I thought there was probably one too many day repeats as the middle section of reliving the same day before she “got it right” was a bit mundane and felt like it took too long for her to work out what was happening and what she needed to do.

The tale of embracing chosen family, however, was beautifully told and I’m so glad it worked out that way.

This book is worth your time (and money)

Another great story by Annie Rains! It's intriguing and makes you wonder what you would do in Diana's situation! It's a heartwarming, magical story with a "ground hog day" feel to it. Living one day over and over would anything change. It kept me quickly turning the pages to see how Diana's life would change and she would grow. It's a beautiful , romantic,Christmas story for sure.
I was fortunate to read an advanced copy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc in return for an honest review!

I don't love flashbacks or reliving the same scene over and over again so I was hesitant at first, but this book was so healing and so sweet. I loved seeing Diana's relationships develop especially just her doctor/patient relationships into actual friendships. If you're looking for a heart-warming Christmas book look no further, and I even teared up at the sweet ending. The holiday magic and the relationships were great, but I wish we got more information on her friend Rochelle and especially seen the missing two weeks. Overall a perfect Christmas read. Heads up - zero spice but a sweet HEA ahead.

This book is a little bit Christmas, a little bit romance, a little bit magical realism, and a lot of good storytelling.

Diana Merriman (an ironic name given her bleak childhood and serious demeanor) is a skilled physical therapist who places great stock in maintaining strict boundaries with her patients in the name of professionalism. Truth be told, she has learned from childhood abandonment and a stoic grandmother to repress her feelings to avoid painful vulnerability. Now this coping mechanism threatens her relationship with her fiancé, Linus, and may cost her a promotion she desperately wants.

When Linus is struck by a truck and remains in a coma for three weeks, Diana discovers his Christmas present for her – a one-of-a-kind snow globe. Her neighbor places an “enchantment” on the gift which launches a time loop experience whereby Diana relives the day of the accident five separate times. Each reiteration provides her an opportunity to try to save Linus from his fate. The beauty of the story is experiencing Diana’s transformation; in attempting to save her fiancé, she gains insight and wisdom into her behavior and ultimately frees herself to make life-enhancing choices.

This is not a typical Christmas novel. The emotional depth reflected in the seriousness of Linus’ accident coupled with Diana’s struggle to overcome her long-standing intimacy issues make this a powerful story that is leavened with romance, magic, and a very satisfying conclusion. I found it engaging and thought-provoking. My only mild criticism is that at times it felt a bit repetitious (I know, this is a time-loop book!) with the back story details.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Through the Snow Globe is a great holiday story by Annie Rains with a ground hog day theme. What would you do if you had the opportunity to relive a day in the past? Would you take it not knowing if the outcome would change?

Diana is given an opportunity to relive the last day she had with her fiancé before his tragic accident. She begins to come up with a plan to save her fiancé from his fate. Nothing is quite that simple, of course and Diana finds herself in an endless loop of that fateful day. As Diana relives that tragic day over and over, she begins to realize some uncomfortable truths about herself and is given the chance to become a better person. Diana may not be able to save the love of her life, but she just may be able to save herself.

I really enjoyed this book. There was plenty of laughter and a lot of emotion to the story. This book was a page turner. Loved the growth of Diana throughout the story and the love and patience her fiancé Linus showed toward Diana.

Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I highly recommend this book.

4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely loved this book.. It's got the ground hog day theme to it. Diana keeps living December 4th over and over. Trying to figure out how to fix it.

Love the characters. Diana learns that it is ok to show emotions and helps you to be a better person.

Highly recommend this book.

It is a real page turner. I couldn't put it down. Stayed up way to late reading it 2 nights in a a row.

This was very unexpectedly good. The cover pulled me in and then I read the blurb and I was like, okay, this could be cool stuff. It ended up being my best book this month, maybe if I don't read anything better. The concept was one I've read before and seen in TV but for some reason, it was weirdly refreshing and I very much enjoyed it. I loved seeing the back and forth of Diana's life and the various days she lived before exiting the loop. It was a bit sad but at the same time, got out the happy feels as well. It's worth a read!

BLURB:
Diana Merriman, a physical therapist, is probably the only person in the small town of Snow Haven, North Carolina, who isn’t looking forward to Christmas. It’s been three weeks since her fiancé Linus was critically injured when a car hit him as he biked home from the toy store he owns and manages. Watching him open his eyes is the only gift she wants, but she can’t help losing a little more hope every day.

But an unexpected visit from a friendly neighbor and finding a snow globe of Snow Haven—a gift Linus had hidden in the closet—the night before Christmas Eve changes things in ways Diana never would have imagined. Because on Christmas Eve Diana wakes up to find that it’s not—Christmas Eve, that is. Instead, it’s somehow December 4 all over again, the day Linus got hurt, and as mystified as Diana is, she immediately starts a plan to save her partner from his fate.

Nothing is that simple, of course. Instead of a single repeat of that day, Diana finds herself in an endless loop of December 4, experiencing every possible variation of events. Along the way, she uncovers startling truths about herself, her relationship, and even her career that illustrate the ways she’s retreated from her life—and in the face of life’s slights and outright blows, from her deepest feelings. Suddenly hope is second only to joy as Diana opens her heart to the people she loves in every way she can.

MY REVIEW:
This book was such a sweet Christmas read woven around the premise of: What would you do if you could have your time over? Would you change anything? The main character Diana is given this chance, able to relive her last day with her fiancé before his tragic accident.

This book is not about saving him, but rather about saving her, which was nice.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Through the Snow Globe is an enjoyable holiday story by Annie Rains. I loved the character development throughout the book. What would any of us do if we had the opportunity to relive a day in our past knowing the outcome may not change? Diana has the opportunity to do just that. As she relives one day over and over again, she is given the chance to dig deep within herself to become a better person, even if that means she has to say goodbye to the love of her life. If you enjoy books with lots of emotion and great character development, this is worth the read.

Thank you Netgalley and Kengsington Books for the advanced copy of this book.

Groundhog Day stories/movies have always intrigued me. What would I do differently if I were allowed to redo moments in my past given the opportunity?

This was a lovely little ARC and I am grateful to have been given the chance to read this story early. The only downside is that I wasn't able to read it during the Christmas holiday period as it would have been the perfect read!

The main character Diana is given the opportunity to relive the last day she had with her fiancé before his tragic accident. As someone who is often misunderstood by others, I related to Diana in this book. Despite what people think of her, she really has a heart of gold.

There were so many sweet moments throughout this book. If you're looking for the perfect Christmas read, add this to your list!

Annie Rains does a great job at making sure the reader is invested within a few pages. Here, the suggestion that Diana is an ice queen gives us a hint of how she will change throughout the story. The relationship between Linus and Diana is very sweet, and I enjoyed the time loop aspect. The story world is charming and the ending is satisfying. This novel is perfect for fans of the Hallmark channel.

This a fantastic Time Loop story! I personally love this plot device. I suppose I fantasize what it would be like to go back and change something that happened and try to make it a better outcome. I felt like I was in this loop with the main character Diana. I actually identified with her on a few levels, so I suppose that is why I became invested in her story quite quickly. Her fiancé, Linus, is a perfectly created partner for Diana. I was touched by his overwhelming love and patience for her and that warmed my heart so much. Although this is a Women’s Fiction book, there is a lot in it to please any Romance reader.

Through the Snow Globe was a page turner for me. I stayed up late trying to finish it but had to close the book. That was actually good in the end, so that I could stay in the story longer.

I have not read any books by this author, Annie Rains, previously, but I will be definitely making up for that soon! I loved her style of including laugher to lighten the stressed moments. Several places I was very emotional and drawn to tears. Other times I was laughing. I truly enjoyed this book so much. I believe in personal growth and the author’s characters learned from the situations they were in and changed as the story progressed.

I am so thankful to Kensington Books and NetGalley for giving me the immense pleasure of reading this book and introducing me to a new-to-me author. This review is not obligatory and is my honestly opinion, not influenced by receiving the complementary advanced reading copy.

This is the perfect holiday read! The character arc was absolutely delightful and it was a bit deeper than your traditional Hallmark style Christmas story.

Through the Snow Globe is an enjoyable Christmas novel with an interesting premise and a sweet backstory. Being a love of anything "groundhog day" I knew this was going to be the book for me and it certainly didn't disappoint. Annie Rains threw in her own little magic and made this a unique and charming read.

Diana is a very dynamic character. Honestly at the beginning of the book I couldn’t stand her. It seemed like she couldn’t get out of her own way. But as she progresses through the book she grows and becomes a wonderful character. The story isn’t about saving Linus from the coma, but about saving Diana from her emotional baggage and learning to let people in. All with a little sprinkle of Christmas magic.

I absolutely adore beautiful romance novels and thus was no exception. I loved this book! I loved the writing, the relationship between the protagonist and her husband, I was kept in suspense the whole novel to see how things turned out! This would make a beautiful film if optioned.
