Reading through about half of the books in the Donovans series, I found them to be a consistently solid read. Set in a small-town backdrop, these romances lack the heavy intrigue often found in other genres, but that's part of their charm. They offer a feel-good escape into the lives of relatable characters navigating love and life in a close-knit community.

This book tells the story of Jamie and how he was thrust into instant parenthood with the arrival of his unknown baby and he has to turn to his enemy Fallon for help. I do like an instant parenthood plot and falling in love with the nanny and this book did not disappoint.

What stood out to me was the likability of the characters and the well-paced storytelling. While there wasn't anything particularly groundbreaking about the story, I still found it to be an enjoyable experience. It's the kind of read you can curl up with on a lazy afternoon and get lost in the cosy world.

Charm Me by Samantha Chase is another fantastic book in the Donovan series. Each story feels like coming home to friends and family.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Fallon and Jamie. They have known each other for all their lives. Fallon has recently moved back to her hometown. Jamie is running the family’s pub. Jamie has just found out he is a father of a baby boy. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Jamie is ecstatic to oversee his family's pub during his parents' extended vacation, with aspirations to introduce some changes. However, his world shifts when an ex-flame unexpectedly leaves a baby at his door, claiming it's his. As typical of the Donovans, the family unites to assist Jamie. In comes Fallon, Jamie's former rival, now jobless and the ideal nanny candidate. As they collaborate, Jamie and Fallon begin to view each other in a new light, with Jamie recognizing past feelings for her. Once adversaries, they now coexist under one roof, caring for a baby and navigating emerging emotions.

I was captivated by Jamie and Fallon's dynamic and Jamie's transition to fatherhood and committed relationship. The book's portrayal of family relationships is commendable, and the supporting characters enrich the story. The narrative's emphasis on seeking mental health support and acknowledging vulnerabilities stands out. This engaging tale was an enjoyable, swift read that left me yearning for more.

Charm Me is the next installment of the Donovan series and unfortunately was my least favorite so far. I just could not connect with the characters at all. I liked the growth of Jamie but everything felt so rushed and I hope it lasts, but i could definitely see a rough future for him without some mental help assistance. And Fallon just lost me in the first chapter where she was just very incompetent at her job and didnt see it as a problem. I didnt mind the two of them together and Asher sounded adorable, but this just didnt hit for me.

The Donovans kinda grow on you. So after Liam (tempt me) and Ryleigh (save me), we now look to Jamie Jamie is the charmer of the family. Never one to take relations seriously and always in for a party. But although he is growing up now, nobody seems to think that he can achieve anything.

So, when his parents go on a trip to Europe, he is determined to proof to everyone that he is able to manage the family pub. But then, one of his one night stands leaves a baby at his doorstep.

His baby, to be exact. Since Jamie doesn’t know a thing about babies, his family steps in and asks a friend to help Jamie out.

Fallon didn’t realize that it would be Jamie she would be helping out. Jamie, the one guy, who she despises. But the baby needs help and Fallon isn’t one to leave a helpless child in need, just because she doesn’t like it’s father.

As they try to navigate through all the diaper issues, you can see the slow burn attraction growing. As with the other Donovan’s stories: cute, fun and cozy. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This was definitely a middle of the road book for me. I was a bit disappointed to find out it was a #FadeToBlack. The story made sense, and the plot flowed. I was just bored, and I found the characters to be a bit forgettable.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received a complimentary copy of Charmed Me in exhange for an honest reivew. I read this as a standalone. It was an interesting concept, but the premace of a mpther leaving a one night stand aby on the porch and a fling in the past just happens to assume the caretaking role and save the day just didn't resonate well as a story. The writing was good, and the bantering between the characters was entertaining.

I'm a big fan of the Donovan series, so I was super interested in learning more about Jamie.

Fallon is back in her hometown after being fired from a job. Again. Jamie is handling the family's pub while his parents are vacationing (coincidentally with Fallon's parents.) And there's tension between Jamie and Fallon from long ago.

Enter an abandoned baby on Jamie's porch and some helpful Donovan siblings, they convince Fallon to help out as a nanny since she's in town and not working.

Eventually feelings begin to change between Jamie and Fallon. Jamie had a lot of growing up to do and we see that happen (quickly.)

While this isn't my favorite book of the series, I still enjoyed it and I'm excited to read the next in the series!

This is the 4th installment in Samantha Chase’s Donovan series and another great story. Here we have Jamie Donovan, a ladies’ man with dreams of taking over the family pub, who finds a baby left on his porch. Fallon is a friend of his sisters who just returned to town after losing her job agrees to help with the baby. Join them as they journey to their HEA, which of course is not an easy road. This is a small town, single dad, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, dual POV and of course, HEA. Another great read by Ms. Chase and I look forward to the stories for the rest of the Donovans.

Thank you NetGalley, Samantha Chase and Valentine PR & Literacy Management for the ARC of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The angst in this was soo good and entertaining. And the chemistry between these main characters were off the charts hot. Loved it

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Cute enemy to friends (lovers?) romance as Fallon heads home after getting fired a second time. Jamie isn't very sympathetic considering that they have always been competitive and trying to get the last laugh over the other.

Then, Jamie finds a baby on his doorstep and is desperate enough for help that he hires Fallon to watch his newborn son. It is hard for them to interact after years of resentment between them until they start to look at each other differently.

The path to the HEA is never easy and they both have issues that they need to deal with but they eventually get their issues resolved so there is a great HEA.

Looking forward to hearing more about Patrick and Marissa - that sounds like another interesting story!

This is my least favorite book in the series. Jamie is immature and not very likable. I wanted to like him - I really did - but he just didn't have too many redeeming qualities. This was a DNF for me. I gave it my best shot, but just couldn't relate to the characters, the storyline, or the writing TBH. Thank you to NetGalley and Valentine PR & Literary Management for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is my least favorite book of the series. I didn't really care for either of the MC's, but espeicially Jamie was immature and unpleasant. The plot was decent, and the batter was good. Overall, an ok instalment into the series. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Charm me is the fourth book in Samantha Chase’s the Donovan’s series set in fictitious Laurel Bay, North Carolina. This story revolves around Jamie Donovan, the family’s youngest son. Jamie works in the family’s pub, both behind the bar and in management, temporarily managing the pub as his parents take a well earned extended vacation. He is a charmer, a flirt, and a bit of a player as Jamie is never serious, and when he breaks things off he is done. This is why he just hasn’t taken or returned any phone calls from Jen, the last on a long list.
Meanwhile, Fallon Murphy, Jamie’s lifelong rival, has hit a low point in life. She has just been let go from the second job in a short period of time and sees no choice but to load up her meager belongings and head home from Texas to Laurel Bay. However, Fallon had forgotten about her parents’ trip with the Donovan’s until she calls her mom as she heads East. At least she will have a place to stay when she gets home even if there is no one to greet her. She does have her friends, the Donovan sisters, though.
On the Sunday morning after his parents leave, Jamie is awakened by the doorbell even though he had planned to sleep in. He opens it to see a car speeding away, and a mysterious bundle on his porch. Then the bundle moves and makes noise under its cover and Jamie stoops to discover a baby with a note from Jen introducing his son.
Jamie immediately contacts his siblings and their partners. He needs help, a lot of it! But he doesn’t realize his sisters will call on his sworn enemy, Fallon Murphy whose degree is in early childhood education, seeking the help he so needs!
This is another fun romp in the Donovan family. It is told with humor and heart and touches upon many social issues including mental health and depression. I did enjoy this story and do recommend it for followers of the genre.

I DNF this one.
I simply could not get into it. I tried. I really did try and the story just never captured my attention unfortunately so I have finally gave up on even attempting to finish it.
The writing is fine.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Valentino Press and Literary Management for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, #4 I believe, but reads well as a stand alone. This is Jamie's story-he is charismatic but with inner doubt. Everyone thinks he is a playboy. Fallon is unemployed and quickly goes from nanny to lover. This is a subtle quick paced, enemy to lovers romance. 3 stars

CHARM ME is the fourth instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult THE DONOVANS romance series. This is bartender Jamie Donovan, and Fallon Murphy’s story line. CHARM ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary..

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jamie and Fallon) CHARM ME follows in the wake of a baby left on Jamie Donovan’s front step. Jamie Donovan and Fallon Murphy do not get along having fought with one another all of their lives but a surprise baby means Jamie is desperate for help, and his sister Ryleigh knows just the person to help Jamie at home. Fallon Murphy has a degree in early childhood education but is struggling to keep or find a job. Never suspecting she would be set up, Fallon comes to face to face with her childhood turn adult nemesis Jamie Donovan, the man with whom she will fall in love. As Jamie struggles to raise his infant son on his own, Fallon will discover that growing close to the child means growing close to the man who could break her heart. What ensues is the building relationship between Fallon and Jamie, and the potential fall-out when the child’s mother returns, and demons from the past push Fallon out of Jamie’s life.

The relationship between Jamie and Fallon is an enemies to frenemies to friends to lovers, a quick succession from nanny to lover but a succession that is about to pull one another apart when Jamie’s inability to compromise threatens our story line heroine. Fallon is wary of Jamie’s need for, and his complete turn around and love for our heroine, a turn around that is about to backfire when all is said and done. There are no $ex scenes, all is implied.

The secondary and supporting characters include the return of Liam and Tessa, Ryleigh and Ryker, Patrick, , Arianna and Will, and their parents Kate and Shane Donovan, and uncle Ronan, as well as Fallon’s mother Caroline, and Jamie’s ex girlfriend Jenn.

CHARM ME is a story of misunderstanding and miscommunication, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is emotional and entertaining; the romance is subtle and passionate; the characters are struggling yet determined.

I enjoyed this story a lot!!
Life has never been better for Jamie Donovan. And now that it’s his turn to take charge of the family pub, he truly feels like everything in his life is just the way it’s supposed to be, or was until an early morning knock on his door ended with a baby on his doorstep. He doesn’t know what to do, but his siblings have a plan: unemployed, beautiful, infuriating Fallon Murphy. They’re rivals. Sworn enemies. And now…roommates. Can one small baby help turn adversaries into lovers? Or maybe even…a family?
This story got me from the beginning. Jamie is a charmer but deep inside he doesn´t believe in himself. Fallon is the responsible girl that can’t seem to make her life works. I always enjoy force-proximity troupes, but if there’s a baby, a slow burn romance and a lot of heat, I’m definitely in.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
