An informative cookbook for delicious smoothies. the recipes are easy to understand and easy to follow!

I have been using this book a lot, I have enjoyed the smoothies which I try to have a least three times a week. I am not a breakfast person so smoothies make it easier. The recipes are good to use anytime and anywhere. Having them on an ebook makes it easy to bring along and you can find the ingredients no Matt where you go. I really enjoy making smoothies and would recommend this book. I received a free book and the views and opinions are my own.

I have learned a lot from this book. I have not yet tried the recipes of the smoothies as of yet. Doing some research after reading this book, some stuff is quite expensive. I would only recommend using these recipes every once in a while. I cannot wait to try some of these. They look so good.

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

This is a good smoothie recipe book for those just getting into the smoothie making world. The recipes aren’t too complicated or elaborate but they’re definitely tasty. The formatting was a little discombobulated and sometimes the picture didn’t match the text but I’m sure that was fixed with the finished product. A nice, approachable first book on smoothie making to garner confidence in the cook.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

30 scrumptious nutrient packed smoothie recipes illustrated with fun doodles and gorgeous full color photos. I have recently developed a love of smoothies for their fantastic health benefits but was looking to mix things up a bit and came across this cookbook. I loved the opening details about key ingredients and their health benefits and immediately added some new items to my online shopping cart. My biggest problem now is trying to decide which smoothie to make first!

Thank you to the Cook Me Not YouTube Channel and NetGalley for allowing me to read a pre-release of this cookbook. My review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

This is Smoothies 101 -- if you have never made one, then it is perfect.

But the copy of the book presented to me confused me: What is "DOODLING STYLE"? I did not see any doodles. So, I downloaded the book from Amazon Kindle Unlimited (It was published last month) and there were doodles...per se. Drawings of the ratios and ingredients for each smoothie...now I get it.

The smoothies are all dairy free and have ingredients like coconut yogurt and almond milk yogurt that would be hard to find in a smaller community and are very, very expensive even if you can find them. Use regular dairy, it will taste the same.

I will recommend this book to anyone who asks but I am not going to buy it for our collection as it is a lot of money for a small book that has very basic recipes that one could find for free within a minute on Google.

16-Oz Smoothies is a small, colorful book of smoothie recipes. The book starts with information about smoothie basics, ingredients, and benefits, then each two-page recipe spread has a photo of the smoothie, ingredients, instructions (which are all pretty much "Put everything in a blender."), and an illustrated picture of the ingredients and a blender.

I think this book would have benefited from more editing and better formatting. The photos didn't match the text (e.g. it says garnish with sliced fresh banana, yet the photo shows a sprig of mint, etc.), the text was inconsistent (chai seeds and chia seeds in the same instruction), and the illustrations didn't add anything except clutter to the page.

All that being said, for someone new to whole food, naturally-sweetened, plant-based smoothies, this would be a fine place to start.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for gifting me with an ARC to review!

Thank you NetGalley and Youtube Channel-Cook Me Not Recipes for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This is a quick read full of delicious smoothie recipes. If you are into healthy drinks and meals, you should have this book in your kitchen or in ebook form on your smart device. The book starts off with the anatomy of a Smoothie, which involves five stages and covers a wide range of recipes that include vegetables, tropical and regular fruits, superfoods, ingredients to boost the immune system, detox and cleanse, and much more.

This book of 30 doodle-style recipes can be meals in themselves. As the title states, these are 16-oz smoothies, but you can make them in any size you like, just adjust the ingredient measurements accordingly. I make mine in batches of 20-ounces or more to last a couple of days in the fridge or I freeze them like popsicles to snack on during the day. All you need is a blender and a way you go.

Happy Smoothie Making!

I don't know if this is a book I would buy because the smoothies aren't that elaborate and I could probably pull them up by looking online on, well, YouTube. But at the same time, I appreciate that this is a great grouping of recipes for someone who doesn't want to make a smoothie a work of art and really just wants to be able to grab a smoothie for breakfast or to detox or just because. And most of the recipes are made with things that you could probably buy without a lot of effort and maybe even have in your house. Some of the recipes would require a bit of planning, because not everyone has all of these fruits in their freezer, but if you grabbed a selection and shopped for the week with them in mind, you wouldn't have a freezer overflowing and you'd have a lot of staples you could use for the next week's worth of recipes.

I found them tasty and easy to make. The recipes were also really simple and easy to size up or down (well less easy to size down). And the kids were happy with their blueberry one, because they really like berry smoothies for some reason.

All in all, a good smoothie book for someone starting out or looking for quick wins.

I make a smoothie almost every morning for breakfast, so when I had the chance to review this book as an ARC offered by NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to get some fresh ideas. This book definitely has some- I love the addition of fresh herbs to many of the smoothies, which definitely adds an interesting spin to some of the flavors.
The book promises “doodles” which I think did not come through very well I. The e-book edition, since the formatting of the recipes was a little all over the place and difficult to follow. But beyond that, a few typos (not connected to any recipes) did jump out at me.
I made just one the recipes, a green smoothie with spinach, green apple, honey, pineapple and chia seeds. The smoothie needed to be drunk all in one go- the chia seeds swell in liquid and can make it difficult to get anything up a straw. And it was a little difficult to figure out what “I cup” of sliced apples is, really. It would have been easier to divide some ingredients up into weights or, say, half an apple. And do I need to peel it? I did, but that instruction wasn’t included.
It was definitely a flavorful smoothie though! I’m going to add some spirulina next time.
All in all a nice starter book for people who are completely new to smoothies or need some fresh ideas, but the text and execution could use some cleaning up.

I had an advanced copy, so it is hard to say, there should be a lot of great smoothies, close to booster juice, the photos where not creative and the layout of the recipes is bad.
