I was super excited about this one and unfortunately, I didn't love it. Parts of it were enjoyable. I loved the older ladies and their book club. I liked much of the first half of the book, but as it went on the story felt weird. I really had a hard time pushing through to the end.
I'm giving this 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 mainly for my love of Myrtle and the book club.

Kerrigan Byrne and Cynthia St. Aubin’s Nevermore Bookstore is a delightful mix of romance, humor, and small-town charm that keeps readers engaged from start to finish. The book follows Cadence “Cady” Bloomquist, a bookstore owner who prefers fictional heroes to real-life relationships. Her quiet, book-filled life takes an unexpected turn when Ramsay Thorne, a reclusive and brooding former soldier, enters her world. Their unlikely connection quickly turns into something deeper as they navigate personal struggles, hidden secrets, and the meddling yet well-meaning townspeople of Townsend Harbor. One of the strongest aspects of Nevermore Bookstore is its character development. Cady is a relatable and witty protagonist with a passion for literature, making her an instant favorite for book lovers. Ramsay, with his gruff exterior and wounded past, adds depth and intrigue to the story. Their chemistry is both sweet and sizzling, creating a romance that feels genuine and well-paced.
Overall, Nevermore Bookstore is a captivating and feel-good romance with a touch of mystery and emotional depth. It’s perfect for readers who enjoy witty banter, strong character dynamics, and a setting that feels like home. This book is a fantastic start to the series and will leave readers eager for more.

Thank you NetGalley and Oliver Heber Books for the ARC of Nevermore Bookstore by Kerrigan Byrne and Cynthia St. Aubin.
I received an ebook ARC of this book for my honest review.
It took me along time to get through this book. I thought this book was paranormal. The cover is giving out those vibes left and right. It's got a good premise but I the execution was not all there. I was tremendously confused with Fox. I was thinking that he was either warlock, vampire, or wolf. I was going still half way through and I wasn't sure if whether Fox was mortal since he was out there in living in the woods. And I thought that Cady was a witch or something. I went into this book with the cover vibes.
Anywho, after getting all the details sorted out, This was an okay book. It gives a good disability representation for ALS for Cady. As well as PTSD for Fox. I'm glad they were able to find each other to support each other during the good times and bad times.

I found this book to be very cringy. I thought it would be cuter or at least funny but most of the dialogue was eye rolling or weird, and even the internal dialogue was weird and a turn off. Corny in a bad way. Plus I found it a bit racist.

Thank you NetGalley and Oliver Heber Books for this ARC. I apologize for taking so long to get to it.
I did not love this. I had to resort to the audio through Hoopla to get through it. Teddy Hamilton was the best part.

This one really didn't do it for me. The storyline had a lot of potential, but just missed the mark. I still plan to continue the series to see where it takes me.
Thank you to Kerrigan Byrne & Cynthia St. Aubin and Oliver Herbert Books for this ARC.

DNFed - I chose to DNF this book in the past. I am typing as a review so it doesn't harm my %. I haven't chose to pick the title back up.

Very late review and unfortunately this was not for me. The plot wasn't enough for me and I didn't like the FMC or the MMC that much. The sex scenes were written in a way that took away from their relationship and just a little bit cringe to be honest. A miss sorry!

Thank you netgalley and publishers for allowing me to read and review
Stalkerish vibes for sure, which I’ve never really been drawn to in books, but I enjoyed bits!

I didn't refresh myself on what this book was before reading it so with all the brooding of the male lead and his living in the wilderness I kept thinking he was a shifter of some sort and getting really confused when he never did anything but be angsty. He comes off as stalkerish and creepy pretending to be different people and it just give me the ick a little bit. Considered giving up at some points but kept thinking something big would happen.

This was an ok book for me. I had a difficult time buying into the characters. I liked the premise though.

This book was not it for me. I kept expecting there to be some sort of supernatural element in this but there wasn't. I just wasn't into the characters and things moved way too fast throughout the story. I just didn't like the whole stalker vibes of it.

Great book. Loved it. I lived the characters and the storyline. Loved the main characters. Overall it was a great book with an interesting plot. Couldn't put it down

I'm not sure this book was for me, though I was/am interested enough to consider other books in the series. I found the dynamic between the two main characters creepy for the majority of the text.

This was not my cup of tea. It was way too cringy and wrong.
Thank you for the advance copy #NetGalley

I started and stopped this book several times over and in the end just could not get into it as much as I was hoping. This is for sure a me thing. I’m positive this is the perfect book for someone else.

I should have paid more attention to the genre designations rather than the author name for this one.
I love Kerrigan Byrne as a historical romance author, so picking up her contemporary romance set in a small town bookstore was an absolute no-brainer. To my horror, what I read of this book was an absolute panoply of cringey humor, overwrought references, and none of the sharp wit that I come to expect from a Byrne book. When looking back at NetGalley, I noticed that Humor & Satire is listed above Romance in the description. Had I seen that, I would have never picked this up.
Thank you to NetGalley and Oliver Heber Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review!

Nevermore Bookstore is a dual POV romance featuring bookstore owner Cady and her most loyal customer the mysterious ‘Fox’.
I don’t really know where to begin with this, I just didn’t like it at all. FMC is ‘not like other girls’ and MMC should be imprisoned or executed. I was cringing almost constantly while reading because of the words and phrases the author chose. I don’t really have any feedback it just wasn’t for me.

I really loved this book, I found the characters compelling and found it was a good interpretation of a soldier with PTSD.
This book is the first in the series but each one features two new main characters. i have devoured each one as soon as they come out.
If you are looking for a new series with quirky heroines and the men who love them to fall in love with then I highly suggest giving Townsend Harbour a visit.
I will say I did think it was a paranormal romance from the cover but it's a contemporary romance. That was my own mistake but it seems from reading the reviews others had the same idea.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this book but it was really good and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
