Okay, okay, first this was a good, world-building book. Second, that little bird call to separate chapters made me giggle every time. Don't get me wrong, I loved that we used that to divide chapters and it kind of fit with the themes of the book, and a bird call was appropriate, but maybe we could have chosen one that wasn't quite so chipper, especially during/between those chapters that were a little more serious. Otherwise, great narration and characterization, with emotional depth in the characters.
