Thanks so much to Annick Press & Netgalley for providing me a super special ARC of this book! Dragging Mason County is a YA LGBTQ story about Peter, a young gay who’s best friend Alan aka teen drag queen Aggie Culture ropes him into a series of wacky hijinks when throwing their county’s first drag show. The best thing about this book BY FAR was the humor. Peter is truly hilarious and his quips, one-liners, and insults made me cackle out loud. If any other book had this specific type of humor, I would consider it mean-spirited but this book makes it work. Anna Mossity is genuinely one of the best drag names I have even heard spoken on the human tongue! All in all, I give this book a shimmering 4.5 out of 5 blazing stars! Since this book is by debut author Curtis Campbell, I now know to tune in to any future releases.
