TJ Klune, you always know how to pull on the heartstrings. He always builds such beautiful worlds, found families and characters to root for and this book is no exception, just beautiful.

Would recommend reading Wolfsong first.

I could not read this one because I dnfed the first one, but I just found the whole story super strange.

Told from the POV of Gordo Livingstone, the second installment in the Green Creek series covers more of the time before, the time during the three years the pack is split, and the current actions. The pack faces new dangers and treachery from without, and Gordo and Mark Bennett have a reckoning over their past and their future.

This is a second chance romance inside a fantasy epic, and the "old man pining" for the one that got away is fierce. Gordo's anger and loneliness is so difficult - as the reader one just wants to shake him, but the reasons behind it are so understandable. At times it feels as if there is no possible way for the pack to come through all that is being thrown at them, much less a way for the couple at the heart of the story to come back together. All in all, the angst, the outside difficulties, and the fantastic found family aspect of the pack comes together to leave the reader satisfied.

Personally, I am loving this series so much and cannot wait to see where it goes.

Klune is fabulous!

Thanks to NetGalley and publishers for letting me read this book for an honest review.
I havent read much of Klune (only this and Wolfsong) but I understand the hype and love for his books.

This books hits all the breaking points of love while combined with awesome fantasy. It was a magical (and heartbreaking) story full of longing and adventure and i think everyone with sweetness in their soul would need tissues. I was in PAIN!

Can't recommend this enough.

Once again, TJ Klune knocked it out of the park. I adored this book. Everything about it was gorgeous: the writing, the story, the characters, the angst, the romance, the found family vibes. It was just an incredible read and really solidifies why TJ Klune is a favorite author of mine.

This story follows Gordo, the Bennett family witch, and Mark. In Wolfsong, Gordo's history with the Bennett's is alluded to, but never fully explained. His tense relationship with Mark isn't either. Here, we get that background information. Told in a mix of flashbacks that catch up to a year after the events of Wolfsong, the author does an incredible job fleshing the world out and diving deeper into events that were only hinted at in the previous book. Mixed in with the right level of character development, this story was a great addition to the series.

I feel like with a series like this, it is easy to get repetitive. However, this book does a great job at propelling the narrative forward and setting up the events for the next two books. I got the answers I needed after Wolfsong, while still looking forward to how conflicts that were set up are going to flesh themselves out in the next installments.

And, as always, TJ Klune is such a beautiful writer that makes me feel a variety of emotions. He is one of the only authors I know that can make me laugh and cry within a single chapter. His ideas about living authentically, what it means to be part of a found family, and the joys, complexities, and heartaches that mean being human are all central here, creating a perfectly crafted novel that demonstrates Klune's unique talents are a writer and his ability to make his readers think.

As per usual, I definitely recommend this book and I think you should read it, especially if you loved Wolfsong or other books by this author. This story, while more angsty and more plot driven than the last, will still hold a special place in your heart.

Thank you to Tor Books and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Ravensong 🌕🌕🌕🌗/5
This is a continuation of the Green Creek series. It follows Gordo Livingstone and offers multiple timelines. Gordon’s life has been challenging to say the least.
He finds himself torn between the past and the present. Confounded by grief, anger, loss and his loyalty to the Bennett pack.
Struck with a new threat towards the pack he must protect all he holds dear and let his raven sing.

I Enjoyed:
Gordo’s complex character. He is relatable and well developed.
I enjoyed the past and present timelines. They are interconnected and the story flows smoothly.
Let’s all acknowledge that the cover art is extraordinarily designed as well.

What Needed Improvements:
I would have preferred there to be less banter between Gordo and his friends. It did nothing for the plot except give some comic relief.
Gordo and Mark could have resolved some things earlier on.

Totally recommend this book. Its focus on family, forgiveness and overcoming obstacles was at the heart of this book.

Thank you to Tor books and NetGalley for the eARC for an honest review.

It's always a risky decision to write a sequel that shifts focus to a new set of characters, but Ravensong manages to do it in a way that keeps the story moving forward while maintaining interest for the reader. We get the same pack of wolves in all their cringey glory, along with a new romantic interest to root for and a slew of new tropes. This series is turning out to be any fantasy romance reader's dream come true: a world where werewolves and magic exist, and all anyone wants to do is protect the people they love (and perhaps find their mate along the way). As always, TJ Klune builds a world that is easily consumed and insular, giving a sense of familiarity as we get to experience Green Creek and all that the small town has to offer. Unlike Klune's other popular books, we get to explore the inner lives of different characters, seeing their perspectives and experiences as he shifts focus through the series. Ultimately, a solid follow-up to Wolfsong, with plenty of build-up for books yet to come. If you're looking for a palate cleanser series between heavier reads, I highly recommend trying this one.

This is the second book in the Green Creek Series. This series has already been published and this version was a refresh and release.

RavenSong is the continuation of WolfSong a fantasy romance series. I’m quite fond of the quirky, unique characters of Green Creek and am looking forward to the next instalment.

Gordo Livingstone is the Bennett Wolfpack witch. After Ox and Joe reunite and bring their Wolfpack back together, Gordo is entwined in a life he swore off many years ago.

As a child Gordo was trained by his father to take his place as the next Bennett witch. Learning about pack families and the power is witches tethered to packs was all ver overwhelming for a young child.

When Gordo’s dad is stripped of his magic, he becomes the lead witch at 12 years old. The pack becomes his family and Mark Bennett his protector. As Gordo gets older, he learns there is more than pack family that ties him to Mark. As a young adult, Gordo is ready to tell Mark how he feels, but something happens and the Bennett pack leaves Green Creek and Gordo to protect the territory.

Gordo breaks all ties with the Bennetts and swears off pack life. He’s still a witch but he vows to never serve a pack again until Ox gets involved.

Dragged back into this life to protect Ox, Gordo does his best to keep his distance from Mark. As the newly reunited pack face the very hunters that destroyed them many years ago, Gordo needs to dig deep and search for the forgiveness he never thought he had to make sure the pack survives.

I really enjoyed this second book in the series. While it focused mostly on Gordo and Mark (told from Gordo’s POV), there were deliberate ties ins to the first book and a mixture of story continuation and Gordo’s past. This was a 4 star read for me!!

Ravensong begins where Wolfsong leaves off and even goes back to cover things that happened in the first book from a different perspective. I enjoyed the added layers of Gordo's history and learning more about how his magic works. While focusing on Gordo and Mark, there are a lot of ensemble characters from the pack and it sometimes felt like a little much to follow at points. Overall, this was a slow burn second chance love story that I was rooting for since the first book. I appreciate the continuity in the Green Creek series between the books. Ravensong builds on the Wolfsong and while it comes to a resolution, I am definitely excited to see what will happen next.

Tj Klunes older series is getting rebranded with new covers, Wolfsong book 1 came out last month and now Ravensongs book 2 is next to be rereleased. I think this was a great idea since Tj Klune has since gotten more popular over the last couple years and his newer books do have a certain style and aesthetic to them so why not wipe the dust off these older books and give them a repaint. This series is not middle grade though these new covers do scream that in my opinion, it’s quite brutal actually following a pack of wolves hiding in plain sight in a community. It's a good quick read.

I didn’t outright bawl while reading this one, unlike its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean my eyes were dry. TJ Klune’s Green Creek series continues to stomp on my poor heart with steel toed boots and I continue to be grateful. The angst in this book was so choice and tasty, in flavors of abandonment and loss of trust, and rubbing out of time to fix it. Oof. I loved Gordo and Mark and I loved reading their story.

This was another excellent installment in the Green Creek series, this time continuing the story while focusing on the relationship between Gordo and Mark. I liked that it did go back in time and cover certain areas from Wolfsong from the perspective of Gordo, so we could see what happened in those three years that he and Joe, Carter, and Kelly were gone. I find I still love all these characters as much as, if not more so, as I did before, and honestly, I just want them all to be safe and happy, WHY CAN'T THEY ALL JUST BE SAFE AND HAPPY? I very much look forward to reading the next book (Kelly and Robbie's book! Yay!).

Ravensong is the second in the Green Creek series and I love it just as much as the first book, Wolfsong. I loved seeing the story through Gordo's eyes and seeing the connection between him and Mark, whether good or bad. The pack as a whole is wonderful and I love each and every one of them. TJ Klune is so amazing with his writing and being able to tell a story. I can't wait to read the next in the series. Every book touches my heart. I give this 5 stars and highly recommend you read the series.

The sequel to “Wolfsong” and this GORGEOUS are-release, this story follows Gordo…a character I loved but didn’t really get to know that well in the first book. Having Gordo as a narrator as a men er of the pack but not a wolf brought new eyes to the story. We start the story by revisiting the time Gordo, Joe, Kelly, and Carter all went after Gordon’s father for years. We get to see how the guys handled their separation from the rest of the pack through Gordon’s eyes. As Gordo and Mark work through their past and feelings for each other, the pack as a whole face a new threat: a disease that makes a wolf Omega and feral. This was a great way to add a new element of danger and risk, with Gordo being irreparably injured and memebera if the Bennet pack changed forever. Of course, seeing every member of the Bennet pack was delightful. Honestly? I’m in love with this series and these characters. It’s been a good long time since a series has gripped me like this, with me eagerly awaiting being sent the arc for the next book. 10/10 highly recommend this series

“Ravensong” is the story of Gordo Livingstone and Mark Bennett. A story that has been in the making since their childhood. This is Book 2 of the series and cannot be read as a standalone.

“Ravensong” takes place roughly a year after “Wolfsong”. Gordo and Mark met as children, and right off the bat there were sparks between them. With Gordo’s father being the witch of the Bennett pack, he also has the same magic flowing through him. At an early age, Gordo began learning how to use his magic, along with the ways of a wolf pack. However, he was only twelve when he lost his parents and was made the witch of the pack. And a few years later, hunters came and tore his pack apart. While the relationship between Mark and Gordo had only just begun, with Mark’s brother being Alpha, he had to follow him and due to unfortunate circumstances meant leaving Gordo behind. Years later, the Bennett’s are officially back in Green Creek. Their pack has been through a lot since their arrival, and still has much to face. No matter how much Gordo tries to fight it, the inevitable is bound to happen. What will it take for Gordo to finally forgive and break those walls? You’ll have to read to find out!

I absolutely love the Green Creek series and every character apart of it. From their strength, humor, and compassion, you will literally fall in love with all of the Bennett pack. Both Mark and Gordo have been through so much to get to where they are now. I wish I could give them both hugs, especially sweet Mark who never gave up on Gordo. What I love about reading these books is that while each book focuses on a new couple, you’re still growing with all the characters. I’ll forever recommend this series and can’t wait to dive into Book 3!

Klune never fails to write an entertaining, heartwarming, whimsical-feeling book. While he has definitely improved in his writing and storytelling mastery since he wrote this series, I still had a lot of fun with this. The characters could be frustrating at times and the plot a bit repetitive, but I swear he puts something in these books because I eat them up anyway.

I read TJ Klune’s last three standalone books and fell in love with his easy, yet deep and emotional writing style. His character development is magical and so are his story lines.

I picked up the Green Creek series upon receiving an ARC for Ravensong. In this series, TJ Klune delivers on all of his classic traits: heartwarming relationships and magical realism.

Ravensong gives reader more of Gordo, but, still features the family feel of the pack from the first book.

I would continue this series if there was less details in the male on male intimacy scenes.

❤️🐺🖤 Ravensong Review 🖤🐺❤️

Thank you so much to TJ Klune, Tor Books @torbooks and netGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!!

Ravensong is a paranormal fantasy romance and book two in the Green Creek series. Gordo is the witch who protects the wolves…he has known this since he was a child. Growing up with the Green Creek wolves, he’s not exactly a normal child, but he slowly discovers himself as he works in the local garage. Mark has always been there to protect him…until one day he’s not, and Gordo is left behind

I loved this book so much! We met Gordo and Mark in Wolfsong and they definitely had lots to work through! I loved the dynamics of their relationship and they had to fight to get there! This whole series has beautiful world building and a super cool magic system, and I loved learning more about it in this book!

Overall this was a five star read for me! I love this series and can’t wait to read the next one!! As the characters had some drama to work through, it was definitely a smidge of a slow burn but once it got there it definitely paid off! Two flames for spice!

If you’re a fan of second chance paranormal romance with possessive werewolves, strong characters and fun banter, then absolutely pick up this book! There is an overarching storyline, so I highly recommend reading Wolfsong first if you’re new to the series! Wolfsong is available now in all formats and Ravensong is available now in ebook and the beautiful hardcover edition releases from Tor Publishing on August 1st!!

Something about T.J Klune's writing is so cozy and comforting. There is some improvement in this writing since wolf-song and I actually really like these covers more so than the original ones. Bisexual representation is phenomenal in this and I had a pretty good time with it.

This book was okay but it did not wow me. I had expected this to be more of a “Gordo/Mark” book but they don’t get together until about 70% in. I adored the first book so much! I was just expecting more from this one. I will continue reading the series though.
