I was so ridiculously excited when I saw the ARC for Both Feet In The Grave by @jfrostauthor sitting in my email. If I haven't said it enough, Bones is one of my top book boyfriends, and I will always try to show him off even if I don't want to share.

"Hallo, Kitten" is forever imprinted in my brain, and book two of the Night Huntress series from Bones's POV has that line everywhere. This book tells the same story as the original but with so much more depth and information. Bones really had a lot going on that we never saw, and it's so much fun to finally know what he was up to.
🩸
His POV brings tons of depth to the story, and seeing Cat's life and coworkers through his eyes was a delight. Especially his interactions with Juan 🤣. Not to mention, the spice from Bones's side of this was sooooo much better. His mind is ridiculously swoony yet filthy. This book also had one of my all-time fave §ěx scenes(the vamp venom, iykyk), and it gets even hotter than the original version.
❤️‍🔥
I'm shamelessly greedy when it comes to my favorite books, so I seriously hope the author keeps going with these books. It would be a horrible tease to stop now! So many thanks to the author and NetGalley for the ARC!

I've enjoyed reading the Night Huntress books from Bones' point of view! If you are a Cat and Bones fan, I'd definitely read this and The Other Half of the Grave. I would personally recommend reading the original versions from Cat's point of view first, as she was the intended main character and I feel as though you get a little more detail in those books, but it is nice to see Bones' perspective and what happened to him when they were not physically together during the story. Thank you Netgalley and Independent Publishers Group for providing this copy in exchange for an honest review.

Having Bones's pov only makes this series even better! I really loved this book! It was so hard to put it down. I truly loved being sucked back into the Night Huntress world. I want to dive right in and continue reading the whole series over again. I hope we get more Bones books in the future I love seeing inside his head.

4.5 stars rounded up. This was a goddamn delight. I love Cat and Bones and returning to their world seeing it from Bones' perspective is awesome. There isn't anything jaw dropping or wholly new, but that's okay. It's exactly what was promised- book 2 from Bones' point of view. We get a few more insights about how Bones operates and some action and dialogue that didn't take place on page in One Foot in the Grave. There are some minor changes, although I like how Jeaniene explains them- two people can recount the exact same event a little differently and believe they are right. The only change I would make is having it be in first person like Cat's books are. But it doesn't distract from the enjoyment at all. If you love the Night Huntress series, you will love this book.

One caveat- I do recommend reading One Foot in the Grave before reading this because there is a quite a bit of action an dialogue that makes more sense when you know the whole story.

Cat has left Bones to protect him. It took him four years to find her again. Discover what he did during this time apart for her and how he felt when he thought he had lost the one person that gives purpose to his life after leaving alone for years as a vampire.

I always wonder what Bones did during the four years apart from Cat and Jeaniene Frost answer my questions! This book is a comeback on One foot in the Grave with new information from Bones POV. I'm crazy about Bones POV! It's funny and heart-broken all at once. The author gives more to us with the new information that surprise me and made me giggle out loud. Poor Noah, he could not compete against Bones. The end always brings emotion.

You will find in this books

I was apprehensive about this book as the ides is popular at the moment but I'm really happy to say I was wrong the book is great it adds to the series giving bones more depth and it's like seeing behind the scenes of a film the book shows what bones had to do to put cat into the winning spot, his rage at Annette's betrayal also anger at Ian manipulation of cat but most of all his love and amazement at finally falling in love. The book doesn't start at the beginning of the series it's just before Denise's wedding very clever idea as the first book doesn't need a second voice. I enjoyed the series it was entertaining and funny in places yes the bedroom scenes are there but if it's not you thing to read then skip them that's what I do you don't lose anything from the stories. I strongly recommend this book series and the spin off books to anyone who likes urban fantasy or people who like vampires (for adults and older teens) that have a real personality as well jeaniene frost gives all of the main characters and some of the walk ons meat on their bones I can see the characters and feel like I know them Try the books I don't think you'll be disappointed I'm so glad I took the chance I read them all two or three times a year well worth a look.
Thanks to net gallery and the publishers for giving ne a chance to read the new bones and cat book.
As soon as I'm able I will pist this review on amazon and goodreads thanks again

Cat left Bones 4 years ago and both have been miserable, never getting over one another. He finally locates her and going to win her heart back.

Cat works with a team that kills Vampires who have been needlessly killing humans. Cat taught her teams everything she knows and the team is quite effective.

Cat and Bones make up but Cat has gotten herself into a situation. A Vampire named Ian has taken a liking to Cat and wants her. Bones is not letting Cat go. The problem is.....Ian is Bones Sire (Ian turned Bones) and Bones and Cat need to find a way to get her away from Ian without upseting Vampire Laws.

I have to say, this book was awesome! I have read most of the authors "Grave" books and enjoyed them immensely. This book is actually re-written to bring it up to todays changes in technology and such, and a good job was done.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I certainly am enjoying the re-telling of the Night Huntress series through Bones' eyes. I do miss Cat's snarky POV; however, it is interesting to experience the book from Bones' POV and understand more of the vampire rules implications.

I’m greatly enjoying this way of revisiting characters that are truly entertaining. Getting the story of Cat and Bones from his point of view certainly adds a lot as you begin to realise just how much Bones actually feels for Cat. Yes he’s possessive of her but we learn of his struggle not to lose her trust and love for him as he lets her go her own way , well as long as he’s with her that is ! Being reunited with Cat brings Bones joy but it’s also deeply distressing for him as to lose her again would destroy him. Problem is there’s someone who has put a target on her back and this time it’s personal !
This authors words flow so easily and this whole series has been incredibly imaginative. I love the assorted characters that flit in and out as they truly round out this world that has been created. A special mention goes to Ian though because he’s just too vain to not get a mention and he adds to the fun with his posturing. Yes it’s a romance and there’s “that scene” but this time from the perspective of Bones. Honestly I never felt shocked by it when initially reading One Foot In The Grave (I know some did) but reading it here for this reader wasn’t as sexy because this time we see how bloodthirsty and wild Cat can be. I greatly enjoyed this book and very much look forward to the next instalment.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Thank you to NetGalley and Jeaniene Frost for an ARC of this book.

This book is a retelling of the second book in the Night Huntress series from Bones' point of view. I would not recommend reading this book without reading either version of the first book in the series.

I think this book especially was great to see from Bones' point of view. I highly recommend this series as well as the related trilogies that correspond with follow the side characters.

I have missed Cat and Bones being the center of the story, so getting to re-visit their world through Bones’ eyes in Both Feet In The Grave is the best! I had always wondered how Bones fared while he was separated from Cat for those four years and now I know. This book was perfect and I am really happy that Jeaniene Frost took the time to share Bones’ perspective through these two books and I am already excited for the next book she writes in this world!

I liked this second novel, which describes the already well-known story from the POV of Bones, much better than the first, especially because it provides a lot of new information (or maybe I just forgot it, because too much time has passed now). The description of some characters, who will later return later in the series and also have their own book then, like Ian and Mencheres, reminded me of how much I liked this universe built by the author.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

I absolutely LOVE that we get to experience the Night Huntress series from Bones' POV. In a way, it's like coming home because everything is so familiar and wonderful, but it also feels so new and fresh because the way Bones sees and experiences the world is so different from Cat.

As it was with "One Foot in the Grave", in "Both Feet in the Grave" we kick off our story with the same angst fest we got with Cat... only seeing just how much Bones suffers in her absence tore me apart in ways I hadn't expected. But it also shed a different kind of light on his reunion with Cat and all that transpired after. I found the similarities and differences in their mutual experiences just so fascinating, and knowing how Cat feels in the moment as Bones is left to wonder... the whole experience is just so rich and wonderful.

I think the main things to note that were strikingly different for me (outside of the extra non-Cat scenes and getting to obviously see things from Bones' perspective) were the new light we get on Bones' relationship with Anette, that one infamous scene featuring orgasmic bites and a broken bed that was even better from his POV, and "Both Feet..." really drives home just how bloody amazing Bones is.

The man has amazing self-control and discipline all things considered, and while you could sense that in the earlier books when everything was from Cat's perspective, it becomes so much more stark this time around. He struggles with his own moments of jealousy, pettiness, insecurity, and general frustration, of course, but he also always seems to know when to push Cat and when to be patient with her, and if anything, these last two books from his perspective just made me love the man even more than I already did. I have such a greater appreciation for him. He really is one of the best PNR MMCs ever - I said what I said.

There's not much else to comment on. If you've read "One Foot in the Grave", then there should be no real surprises for you in "Both Feet..." as far as story beats go... just extra context and insight into the man that would literally go to any lengths for the woman he loves... and I am absolutely obsessed.

Can't wait to see what Jeaniene reveals next with his character, assuming we get "At Grave's End" from Bones' POV next! I am more invested than ever!

I loved everything about this book. It offers romance, mystery and adventure all of which plays out inside a gorgeous world. I especially enjoyed the connection the characters had to the land and the living palace. Gread read!

I adored reading this book! I love this series so much, and I've read that Cat's version of this book was what Jeaniene Frost imagined first at the start of the series, and then had to go and write what became the first book. So seeing it from Bones' perspective was fantastic!

That sequence of scenes when they're reunited after all this time, it's a favourite from the series. To see it from Bones' perspective, and to learn all that he knew beforehand, what he put into place, that was so great! In the authors note beforehand, it mentions that technology was updated, and that couples see things differently, but oh, there was a lot of that Cat didn't know!

It was interesting to see Tate, because of his infatuation with Cat, and boy does it peeve Bones! But he is Cat's friend, which puts him in an awkward position. The amount of times he thinks about killing Tate was hilarious!

To see things from behind the scenes, as everything was pulling together for the plot against Ian, it was a big strange, now that Ian's had his own series and found his happy ending. But it was really satisfying to see Cat win her fight, and their wedding!

I loved reading this book, and I hope we continue to get these books from his perspective!

It's been four years since Cat disappeared, but Bones has finally caught up with her. If you read One Foot in the Grave, book 2 in the Night Huntress series, you know what happens from Cat's perspective, but in Both Feet in the Grave, readers get to see inside Bones' mind and heart, and know what he was up to during the times the the narrative followed Cat. If you have never read any of the Night Huntress books, and don't have time to start with book 1, I would recommend reading The Other Half of the Grave, book 7, which is also told from Bones' point of view, before diving into this one.

I adored Bones before, but seeing events and conversations play out from his perspective make me love him all the more, and yet feel frustrated at times too. When will Bones learn to stop keeping pertinent information from Cat? Certain impulsive decisions on her part could be avoided if he had just been proactive in sharing info! The relationships and interactions between Annette, Bones, and Cat became more clear as well, being seen from Bones' perspective with reminiscences from his past. The shared human past between Annette and Bones is the one area that I wish had been given just a bit more attention. We see Bones' gratitude and concern for Annette, but what about his own loss?

This is one of my all time favorite series and I loved this story just as much coming from Bones' perspective as I did from Cat, which is not usually the case for me in a book being told from another character's perspective. I highly recommend this book to fans of vampire romances with a strong female main character, touch her and die vibes (except when she's kicking your a*s like I taught her), and an alpha male who will go to any length for his soul mate.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ebook arc. I am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

Yay, we're back with Bones! (And Cat, but let's be honest, I'm here for Bones)

There is really not much to say about this. Just like The Other Half of the Grave, this book from Bones perspective is fabulous. I love him and it's simply awesome to see his pov. There were a couple of scenes that literally had me melting cause they were so adorable and other scenes that had me laugh my head off. It's fantastic. Bones is simply great.
Obviously the plot is nothing new if you've already read One Foot in the Grave (as you should), so don't expect it to be so exciting that you can't put it down, because that's not the point. But yeah, I couldn't put it down anyway.
If you love Nighthuntress, you'll most likely love this as well.

Thanks, NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve been a huge fan of Jeaniene Frost for many years. I read Halfway to the Grave (Cats story) and was instantly hooked on how Jeaniene writes her books.

This book exceeded any expectations I might have had about reading Bones side of the story. Even though I “knew” what was going to happen in the story Jeaniene Frost was able to bring so much life to the story that it felt like reading the series for the first time all over again. Having that first time feeling about a book series I absolutely adore has been priceless.

HIGHLY recommend!

Thank you so much NetGalley and Jeaniene Frost for this ARC.

I loved this book. The "Red Reaper" is fascinating. Her abilities boggle but her mother takes the cake for being the worst mother ever. Her twisted family is eye opening. Truly wicked and evil. Makes for a riveting read.
