I absolutely devoured Both Feet in the Grave by Jeaniene Frost! Aside from being her usual well-written, fast-paced, and exciting page-turner, the switch in the point of view to Bones is once again compelling and puts the entire story in a new light.
I read the original book from Cat's point of view when it first came out, and as I'm getting on in years, have forgotten some of the details. This book brought back all the details, with a refreshing enough twist that it was like reading an entirely new story - which in a way it wad.
I sincerely hope that Frost continues with the series from Bone's point of view! I'm sure I'd devour those too.
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC o #BothFeetintheGrave.

I enjoyed this book. We can really see the love between Cat and Bones. It’s interesting to read Bones version of what happened. #BothFeetintheGrave #NetGalley

The Night Huntress series by Jeannine Frost is one of my favorite paranormal romance series and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read an ARC of Both Feet in the Grave, out in April. This series is usually told from the POV of Cat Crawfield, a half-vampire woman who has a lot of conflicting feelings about her heritage and abilities and uses them to hunt full-blooded vampires. One night she meets Bones, a several centuries old Master vampire serving as a bounty hunter for other supernatural creatures, and they eventually form a partnership—first to investigate a string of deaths that could expose the supernatural world to humans and then an emotional one.

Both Feet in the Grave revisits the book 2 of the series (One Foot in the Grave) but this time shows the story from Bones’ POV. This is the second book that Frost has revisited from Bones’ POV and I think it is one that really cries out for his perspective as it begins with the two of them apart thanks to the events of the first book, and it is particularly wonderful to be able to see the separation and subsequent reunion from his perspective. I also really enjoyed getting a chance to get a firsthand glimpse of Bones’ impressions of Cat’s new friends and colleagues and all the behind the scenes scheming he does to learn more about the organization Cat now works for and how to undermine Ian’s plans for Cat (I had honestly forgotten how much I did not like Ian in the early books!). If I had one complaint, it is that I would have loved to see more of what Bones experienced during their separation between books 1 and 2, but to be fair, we don’t get a lot of detail of Cat’s life during that time period either.

Although this revisits the series rather than provides new plotlines, I will take additional new Night Huntress content any way I can get it! I hope Frost continues to give us Bones’ POV—there are definitely other books/storylines that I think fans would love to revisit (the ones involving Gregor definitely come to mind). I also would not complain if Frost wanted to give us a brand new look at what life is like for this duo and their family (both by blood and by choice) either!

Thanks to Netgalley and NYLA Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC. All opinions here are my own.

This is from Bones' POV. Nothing plot altering in this book but it's extremely fun to get the book from Bones' perspective. Love Bones and Cat together and this book is a perfect example of their chemistry and fun together. Really enjoy it. It's great fun!

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

5/5 stars! So I have to admit that I have been a fan of Jeaniene Frost from the very beginning. I adored reading the Night Huntress series years ago and have been fangirling Cat and Bones ever since. That being said, I leapt at the opportunity to read the second installation from Bone's POV. Frost does a masterful job of updating the story in necessary areas to reflect Bone's more ancient, ruthless process of thinking, but keeps the core of their story intact. It was a phenomenal story and I can't wait to read the next one.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

We again get to see these absolutely wonderful characters by Bones' point of view. Great story, action, couple reunited, vampires, ghouls. Cat is the ultimate badass heroine. Fun read, very nostalgic. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book for Netgalley.

Diving into a Jeaniene's world is always a treat, and Both Feet in the Grave was no exception.
I recently listened to Halfway to the Grave's new graphic audiobook (which is also awesome!) so I was perfectly ready to dive into Bones' POV of One Foot in the Grave.

Cat left Bones with a note at the end of Halfway to the Grave and we now get the live the full force of the anguish he went through in the years following her deception, how he managed to find her and everything he felt when they finally got back together. It was glorious!

Due to the nature of this book, there weren't many surprises plot-wise, but living everything through Bones' eyes was amazing. The way Tate, Juan, Cooper, Annette, Ian, Denise & Randy are portrayed is so very different from when I read Cat's POV, it felt almost like reading a different story. We really got to appreciate how cunning Bones truly is when we are in his head.

Urban fantasy book don't typically contain very graphic spicy scenes, but Both Feet in the Grave contained a particular one worth mentioning. Bones has nothing to envy to romance novel male characters *wink*

If you stumble into this review without having read in other novels, I would suggest reading them in Chronological order, so Halfway to the Grave (Cat's POV ok book 1) or/and The Other Half of the Grave (Bones' POV of book 1) and after that One Foot in the Grave (Cat's POV of book 2) or/and Both Feet in the Grave. Hopefully, Jeaniene will keep writing the other books in the series from Bones' POV also, because I simply can't get enough!

NB: I will also post my thoughts on Tik Tok (@tyngabooks) and on amazon (once the book is published).

Frost never disappoints!!! Hooked from beginning to end urban fantasy at it's best. Vampires, ghouls, and some nasty humans (yea, I wanted to swat Justine) - secrets uncovered, strength tested, and some darned tense moments! A winner!
