I appreciated the well-thought out, organized aspect of the book. I've been more interested in reading how to be present in the modern world, and this book helped with that search. It read a bit academic at times but it was well-done

Look by Christian Madsbjerg is a thoughtful, philosophical exploration about the importance of paying attention to not just the foreground, but also the background. I expected this to be more centered around aspects of our careers and professional lives, but it is more academic and reads like a course. I liked that it's not about success, but widens the scope of how to be successful in our own lives. Like appreciating and understanding our relationships and the context of things around us. Look is a fascinating read for those wanting to see more in their lives.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.

I feel so strange giving nonfiction a star rating, so unless they make me mad--I think they deserve 5 stars.

This one is no excepting. It's a very smart book--well written and researched. From someone who has worked in higher ed for a long time, I appreciated that a lot of the book involved the course in NYC.

Is it brand new information? No. And if you've read these kinds of books before, you've probably gotten the same information....But sometimes we need the same info we've heard before said in a different way.
