This was such a thrilling and beautiful conclusion to the series! I loved exploring a new world and seeing our favorite characters continually grow into their strengths. I loved how this story touched on the impacts of religious trauma and the dangers of cult brainwashing. Piper CJ did a great job handling these topics, and I can’t wait to continue reading her writings!

Piper CJ keeps surprising me with this series. I really enjoy the development of the main FMCs. This book was just the pick me up I need to get out of a reading slump!

I really love the world building in this story. The whole book did feel a little bit rushed and things got tied up a bit quickly. Piper writes characters that are lovely and continue to show their growth overtime. The story takes you on an emotional ride that leaves you wanting more!

I liked book three more than book 2 of this series for sure. I almost feel like the series as a whole could have been a trilogy instead of a quartet? May feel differently once I've read book 4 but at this point I'm lukewarm. Will pick up book 4 just to see how the series ends since I'm 3 books in but wouldn't say it's at the top of my radar.

Great third installment of the series and kept the story line interesting and the characters quite dynamic. Perfect continuation of the story.

This was a really fun fantasy read. Just a little too sexy for my classroom usage. I love the world building and the characters. I would highly recommend to students who are interested in fantasy and can handle a little spice.

Absolutely loved this continuation of the story. Piper's ability to write complex characters and show their growth over time has me in a choke hold

A fantastic third installment in the series, I enjoyed the tender moments between my favorite characters as well as the introduction of new ones and their own stories. I'm still itching for more and cannot wait to see how this series will end.

Overall this series has a lot of good in it, I think some parts get confusing and I just haven’t fully connected to any of the characters yet. Especially the two MCs that we know are supposed to be together, I just don’t see the chemistry yet anyway.

I’m sorry…I have to DNF. This book just wasn’t for me. There was a lot of forced plot points, I don’t think the characters were developed at all. I was struggling through it.

Piper CJ has managed to create a rich and colorful world that is easy to fall into with just the first few sentences of the book. I could not put the book down! The characters are vibrant and unique with their strengths and weaknesses, and the world she describes sounds beautiful too. I was enamored with each character's journey, the transitions between character's point of views was seamless. I can't wait to read the conclusion to the story!

The Gloom Between Stars by Piper C.J.

This series is SO good. This book is FABULOUS.

I really enjoyed the first two books in the series, but I feel like each book just keeps getting better and better. The Gloom Between Stars builds on the fantastical world that C.J. created in books 1 and 2, but turns up the spice, the character development, and leaves readers with an unbearable cliff hanger.

Book 4 needs to come out ASAP. Because I want to keep living in this world forever.

I just received the physical published copy of this book this week and realized I completely forgot to write a review in the chaos of moving, but better late than never.😅 I received an ARC copy of this a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it. I (re)read all 3 books within a week when I was supposed to be packing (oops) as soon as I received the ARC and will most likely be rereading the series again as soon as I finish my current read. This series has quickly become one of my favorites, if not my favorite. I just absolutely love Piper's writing style and have fallen in love with the characters and story she's created and can't wait to see what happens next. 🫶🏻

From the first chapter, Piper CJ’s The Gloom Between Stars (3rd installment of her series The Night and Its Moon) grabs you by your heart and refuses to let go. The best of the series so far, the stakes are higher, the characters are deeper, and the spice is hotter than before. If you liked the first two books, you will love this book!

In addition to the aforementioned, this book contains heart-pounding action scenes that make it difficult to put down. (Seriously, just call in sick.) They result in satisfying conclusions for some characters, while cracking the world open even wider as conflict in the world beyond Gyrradin comes to light.

This book kept me utterly enraptured even in the parts that tore my heart out and ruined me. Maybe especially then. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s an emotional ride through joy and pain that will leave you begging for the next one.

Books that continue past duologies always worry me. It's hard not to fall into one of them being filler, and with how much I loved books 1 and 2, there was a little fear. (There's also always that little fear of someone not making it to the final page)

Piper's ability to build not just an excellent world, but multiple stories containing multiple characters in one and converge is phenomenal. The interest of side characters never falls off, and, if I'm being honest, I might love some side characters just as much if not more than the main two. The characters are what makes this book and series shine so much. The fact that there is another book and I will never get to visit them again almost had me slowing down to savor it instead.

It's hard to talk about the plot of this without giving away so many important parts of it, but the story itself is gripping and had me in its thrall. The ending itself I flipped between the last page and the final blank page several times. I cannot believe we left off like this. I can't believe I have to wait MONTHS for the next (and final) installment.

Piper, you could write about a collection of office supplies and I would still pick it up. I'm sure they would be amazing characters.

My only complaint was a little big of pace dragging for about 10%, but that doesn't bog down my love for this series or how much I enjoyed this book. I still binged through it in a single sitting.

Piper CJ takes a great theme and explores it a way in a way that was unforseenable by me. It is enchanting and definitely worth your time. Please give it a read.

Just plain plagerism, racism, ableism. Would give 0 stars if I could. Whole series has been trash but I keep hoping author will learn from her mistakes.

Needs an editor so badly as well. Just not worth your time, money or attempts. Find good books. Please.

I was honoured to be able to read this as an ARC. I love Piper's writing and I am a huge fan of this series but this is by far my favourite book yet! Her world building is incredible, the way she creates such an immersive sensory experience with such poetic words always has me amazed. The bi representation is so nice to see and seeing the different dynamics between characters and their relationships to one another was lovely. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this. I am SO excited for January when the final book in this series comes out, and am looking forward to everything new Piper has in the works.

I got an ARC of this book, and am so happy I did because I loved it! I literally replaced my long-lost kindle to read the ARC, and I have no regrets. This was my favorite book in this series so far. It was awesome to get to know some of the supporting characters better while seeing how Nox and Amaris interact after each of them has experienced so much apart. This book ties up some loose ends while leaving plenty of room for more story in the next book. I am so thrilled that I was able to finish it soon after reading the previous book, and can’t wait to get my preordered copy with the novella in July!
