Lucy Score has done it again! Pretend You’re Mine is the perfect mix of swoon-worthy romance, small-town charm, and emotional depth. From the very first page, I was hooked by the chemistry between Harper and Luke. Their fake relationship starts off as a fun trope but quickly turns into something much deeper and more heartfelt.

Luke is the perfect grumpy, protective hero with a heart of gold, and Harper is a strong, lovable heroine who brings light into his life. Their journey is filled with witty banter, steamy moments, and just the right amount of angst to keep you flipping pages late into the night.

Beyond the romance, the small-town setting and side characters add so much warmth and humor to the story. It’s the kind of book that makes you laugh, swoon, and even shed a tear or two. If you love fake dating with real emotions, Pretend You’re Mine is an absolute must-read! I couldn’t put it down!

I’m a sucker for a fake dating trope, and this one delivered all the feels. The small-town charm was a perfect backdrop for this romantic adventure

Lucy Score is one of those authors that if you read one of her books, you'll know what to expect. But for that reason, she has become a comfort author for me. Pretend You're Mine is another favorite trophy --- I mean book ---- on my shelf. I love the way it's light-hearted but intense at the same time. It was truly a joy to read.

This was my first Lucy Score book and it did not disappoint. I will definitely be reading more of Lucy's books.

I've read two Lucy Score novels and determined she just is not for me. Meh is about the sum of my opinion of her writing. I have a couple brand new physical copies on my shelf I've added to my Pango store without even reading them so I'm not going to bother with this one. Her books are fine - just not quite my taste.

5 Stars!

Luke & Harper= multiple undoings!

Broody hero with a painful past. Military hero. Sexy asf! Yes!

Sunshine heroine very good at hiding years of childhood pain, trauma and not really belonging to anyone = my catnip.

This book left my heart in a ooey gooey puddle.

*small town romance
*fake dating
*one bed
*close proximity (esp. in the kitchen *ahem*)
*hero in the National Guard

The feels came left and right from the rawness of these characters. Sure they had amazing chemistry and sexiness, but when Luke could not say he loved Harper back I knew this was gonna hurt like a….

“I want you to take all the dark, all the pain, and turn it into something beautiful. I want to fill you, hurt you, please you. Give you everything. I want it so bad I can’t think of anything else. The thought of never touching you again—” He trailed a hand down her neck to capture a breast. He tugged her nipple. Harper gasped for breath, her pulse fluttered under his fingers. “Is this what you want?”

There are so many layers to this story, and I can’t wait to continue this beautiful series!!

DNFed - I chose to DNF this book in the past. I am typing as a review so it doesn't harm my %. I haven't chose to pick the title back up. I do not enjoy this author's writing style.

I have decided that Lucy Score's books just are not for me. They are way too long and there is too much filler in the book. When I would put the book down it was hard to pick it back up. I pushed through but kind of wish that I wouldn't have.

I love Lucy score books! I started with her popular Knockemout series (Things We Never Got Over), and absolutely devoured every book of hers that I could get my hands on since!

I always love reading a small town romance. Luke and Harper's love story was so cute to read, but frustrating at times. I get why Luke had the feelings the way that he did, but it was taking up the whole time til like the last chapter. I would at least wanted to read a little bit more of their happily ever after.
Harper was this lovable, strong, caring person that you wish she was a part of your life.
Luke is this military man that is always there for everyone but himself. I'm glad at the end he could let go and be happy. I just wanted to read more about it. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. Gloria and Aldo are so cute together.

Talk about a grand gesture 🥹😭

Harper is a free spirit and Luke is no nonsense. The way he worries about her from day one was so sweet and absolutely hilarious if I’m being honest because that girl is kind of a train wreck. 😆 I love how different they are but connect like magnets. Their physical connection.. 🥵🔥

The found family though.. if you know, you know. This is one of my absolute favorite tropes. The way the entire town (including Luke’s family) takes to Harper was so beautiful. Especially someone who has literally been on her own most of her life.

I cannot wait to read Gloria and Aldo’s story. 😍

forced proximity x fake dating x small town x military x found family x grief

Ugh, this book was amazing! Classic Lucy. I loved her Knockemout series, and I loved this one just as much, if not more. 10/10 recommend if you want a great romcom!

The writing is both engaging and lyrical, with vivid descriptions that transport you into the characters’ lives and settings. This novel isn’t just about romance; it’s about the journey of finding oneself through love and connection.

I love Lucy Score books and I never get tired of them. This book is about Harper and Luke, Luke is in the military and Harper helps him out with a little bit of a fake dating scenario. This book had such good romance and I highly recommend giving it a shot

Harper is a badass woman who stumbles into the town of Benevolence and meets home town hero Luke. Harper and Luke have pasts that are haunting them and have to learn to live together and be strong.

This book was good and great for people who love small time romances. It made me think of It Happened One Summer so if you’re a fan that book definitely check this out.

A spicy read that is released already.

This was my first book by Lucy Score and won’t be the last! I’ll admit, the length scared me, but once you start reading, you get sucked in! I now understand all of the hype around Lucy Score! I can’t wait to read the next one in the series!

I think Lucy Score might be one of my favorite new authors. I really enjoy this story and the characters in the book. From what was supposed to be a one month fling, turn into stay with me for a while. Heartbreak and grief are hard to get through, but knowing that someone you love sent someone for you to be happy so you aren't alone know that they care about you no matter where they're at.
