I loved several of Lucy Score's books, but this series just didn't end up being for me. I was not able to connect with the main characters. Fun plot line, but it just wasn't the right story for me.
I had recently just learned about this author, so I was excited to read this book. It was a fun read! I immediately was hooked. The banter between the main characters was great. This book really kept me entertained! I cant wait to read more books from this author!
This was a good small town romance.I liked the heroine a lot but she made crazy decisions at times. Hero is a mess, but he eventually grew on me. Add a small town full of nice, equally warm-hearted peeps to the mix.Heartbreaking and lovely and wonderful.
Thank you Netgalley and bloom books for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wow that was a long book. It almost seemed like 3 books in 1!! As with any Lucy Score book you will fall in love with this small town and all the characters. Just when you think all the secrets are out there are more to be found! I’m looking forward to reading Gloria and Aldo’s story.
This is a great romance read! I liked how this had the hometown hero, military main character. Lucy Score is an auto-buy author for me, and this book does not disappoint!
So I read the second book in this series first. Which seemed to be happening at the same time as this one. So i knew what would eventually happen.
I wanted to love the story of Harper and Luke but Luke...was on my last nerve.
LIKE OMG DUDE!
But the chemistry between our two characters was great and it was a quick read.
this started out so cringey, ridiculous and over the top that I just could not get into it. the writing felt juvenile. DNF
When Harper gets stuck in a small town the last thing she is looking for is love
I really enjoyed this.
Sex scenes are good.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this novel. Check it out! It is worth picking up and keeping on your shelf after reading for reference! #NetGalley #Edelweiss
Lucy Score is an amazing world-builder and I love all her books. I get sucked into the world and don't want to leave. This book was a really quick and exciting read.
Military romances are not my favourite trope so this one was just okay. I don’t feel too strongly about it and it was pretty forgettable.
i decided that lucy score is sadly just not for me, i haven’t been able to get into any of her books.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.
I received this book for free for an honest unbiased review from Netgalley.
I wish more books were this well written. Characters were witty and the setting fantastic.
Review: Pretend Your Mine by Lucy Score
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This review is long overdue. I received this egalley months ago and I could not for the life of me get into it. Honestly, I wanted to DNF it because it felt like I was perpetually stuck at 30 percent, but everyone is always raving about Lucy Score so I forged on.
And I am SO glad I did. It’s rare when a book is so tough to get into at the beginning it will come together for me being a win, but Pretend Your Mine definitely did; a little over half way I was completely invested.
The characters are so good. I love the family dynamics, the small town comfort and the relationships that Harper builds with each one. What I did not enjoy was the length of the book, I think it could have been shorter but truly that was it.
Now, after reading this one, I’m looking forward to continuing the series, especially having been introduced (and loving!) the characters in this book.
Reviewing today on my IG.
I enjoyed this book and plan to read the rest of the series.
I really love the book covers and plan to buy the physical copies.
Thanks for the digital arc in exchange for an honest review.
Lucy Score is the queen of books with broody men. I loved the Knockemout series, so tried this one and was not disappointed!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of Pretend You're Mine by Lucy Score. Lucy Score is one of the top romance authors on my reading list!
This became one of my favorite books.
I love how Luke learned how to open his heart again even though he was devastated after loosing his wife and unborn child.
I love this book.
I love a good small town romance. This one was fine for me! It was very long, so i found myself kind of just wanting to get through it. I reallly liked Harper, she was a very sweet and funny fmc. I felt bad for Luke and his struggle of letting someone in again. I understand the struggle for the character and that being part of his overall storg, but the constant back and forth became a little too much for me. I know that people will never get over the death of a loved one or will forget them; but i really feel like that cloud of him feeling like he was betraying his ex wife was dragged too. This was alright for me. I dont really feel like these two were meant for eachother.
